Worth a shot, but be prepared before you go to a fair.
Review of Member Advice on Computer Fairs & Shows by demonicdioxide

Advantages: Around like-minded people, wealth of knowledge, wide range, some great prices, good in social term
Disadvantages: A lot of rip off prices, most fairs are £3 entry fee, some stall owners try to rip you off

I went to a computer fair today for the first time, with a friend. They tried to rip off my friend, who knows nothing about computers but thought it might be interesting to go. They tried to make him pay £60 for a 1GB DDR SDRAM, which is £20 a piece on Play.com, £25 a piece on Misco.co.uk. Hence I knew it was a rip off. With that said I think some of the stuff are reasonable price, most of the guys there knew what they were talking about, but alas ...
...popular things to go to as well. For anyone wondering whether to go or not, it's like a car boot sale or a church fair. It's worth a go to see what it is like, for the rest time. This particular fair had all the products you could think off. From speakers, to all the components in a PC, to Gaming consoles, to TV's. With that said, I think prices are coming down on Internet-only places such as Play.com & Amazon.co.uk, so it may be cheaper to buy things ... Read review

Bad experience with Ink2U cartidges
Review of Member Advice on Inkjet Cartridge Refills by pedragon

Advantages: Quick delivery of faulty goods! Affordability
Disadvantages: Product doesn't work, poor customer service and support line

I have found Ink2U to be terribly unreliable. Like others I was really pleased to find an affordable alternative to overpriced Dell cartridges. However the blank ink cartridge I purchased from Ink2U does not work at all. I have worked with IT for several years so initially thought there were a couple of things I could try to resolve the problem. However having realigned the cartridges, and cleaned the nozzles I am still unable to print properly. ...
...and customer service to be rude, unhelpful and inefficient. What is particularly galling is the fact that they include an envelope to return cartridges for recycling. However in order to return a faulty cartridge I need to make a trip to the post office. What an awful waste of time and money using Ink2U has been. I will avoid Ink2U in the future. ... Read review

Mobile Phones - Good or Bad! - You decide!
Review of Mobile Phone Etiquette by Doni07

Advantages: Read review
Disadvantages: Read review

Mobile Phone Discussion The younger generation approve of having a mobile phone but those of different views may disagree. I am going to discuss most of the pros and cons of having a mobile phone and how it can affect us and the world around us. There is one aspect of a mobile phone which I think is the most important feature of a phone and that is being able to participate in long-range communication. This, I think, is the main reason why phones ...
...the benefit of having a mobile at a very young age which, if used in the right way, could be a matter of life and death. In addition to this, I think this aspect long distance communication is revolutionary especially when you can use it any day, any time, any where! That said, there is also a growing problem which has caused lots of documentaries etc. to appear on the television and that is it can become hugely addictive in many ways. Firstly, ... Read review

Need a new computer? Why not build your own?
Review of Member Advice on Building Your Own PC by Deru

Advantages: Good experience, Could save you money, Fun, Choose your parts.
Disadvantages: Needs the know-how and experience. Not for everyone

With computers becoming less and less expensive, the majority of us seem to be able to afford one. 99.9% chance that you’re using one this very moment! (That 0.1% being those who use their TV’s to access the net, any Ciao’ers here do that?). Now if you had an old computer, whether it be a 486 or Pentium 1, 2 or 3, it may not be running as well as it used to be able to. It’s lagging, it’s irritating, and you want to throw it out the window… What can ...
...if it’s not powerful enough to run a piece of software you just bought? You can choose to upgrade the machine, buy a new one, or build one yourself. Yes, it’s not difficult to build your own computer since all you have to do is slot in and screw down most of the components. This op will give you some tips and information that can get you started. It’ll be a bit long probably but feel free to skip the bits you know. WHY? Why build your own when you ... Read review
