Well, of course they're going to hurt, right? you're ripping hairs out , and it's not quite as quick as waxing.
The first tiem I used them, I was too scared after the first whiz. It was soo painfull, but with a bit of experimenation between the speeds and hair size settings, I finally got used to it.
Like plucking, after the first few minutes, all the pain is naturally numbed, so you could for exampel do the lower part of a leg in about 10 minutes.
If the hair's thick to begin with you'd want to trim that down, preferably with the trimmer on an electric razor, which gives the perfect height. I didn't see any hint of regrowth for a week.
*Two months* on, after two uses my leg is still about 9/10ths bald! The stomach area grew abck much quicker, but of course, it was slow and the hairs are much thinner now.
Compared to electrolysis, its much cheaper and faster. Compared to waxing, it's cheaper in the long run, and you can do it at home, say whilst watching tv. Compared to shaving, it's cheaper in the long run and the results last at least 20x longer, though it takes longer to remove the hairs in the first place. Compared to depiatory creams, such as immac, the regrowth is much better, since the root is removed, though it takes a little longer the first few times.
My skin was a little sore the first few times, but it was still fine to wear clothes, etc, and lie in bed, and I've only once managed to tear skin on my shin bone. That was my own fault for not paying attention and pressing really hard, just don't do that!
