Isn't Winter Gardening Wonderful
Review of Member Advice on Gardening by lona

Advantages: Colour all year round
Disadvantages: Where to put them all when winter is over

I've always tried to keep my garden interesting all year round and one way to do it is have a mixture of evergreens along with your deciduous plants. Last year I decided to really make an interesting display and planted up winter baskets and tubs and placed them all over the garden. For the baskets I inserted an 8ft stob in the garden to add height to my display, painted it black then I put four brackets, one on each side. I put another 5 brackets ...
...a start. Around October, I visited various garden centres and bought a selection of colourful plants............................. 1 Various ornimental grasses, don't ask me to name them but the assistant assured me that they would all come through the winter. All the variated grasses came through well but reddish ones didn't. Perhaps they will come up again this summer. 2. Baby Azaelias and baby Rhododendrons. I chose ones with colourful foliage ... how to keep a healthy pond
Review of Members Advice on Pond Construction by nishikoi2003

Advantages: relaxing
Disadvantages: money!

I love ponds. They are a big part of my life. Ponds will give you relaxation and joy. But in order to get this you need to keep your pond up to scratch. They are quite complex and there are lots of ways to achieve a good quality pond. I have three ponds. I have a small 2ftx4ftx3ft deep pond, I have a 10ftx9ftx3ft deep pond and a koi pond, which is 13ftx6ft5ft deep. Ponds come in different forms, you can make lots of different kinds. You can make ...
...them out of liner, concrete or buy a performed pond. In order to keep a healthy pond there are 4 rules you must follow: DON’T OVER STOCK DON’T OVER FEED YOU MUST HAVE A PUMP YOU MUST HAVE A FILTER BOX AND UV (ultra violate light) When your pond starts to mature or after the first year you may experience duckweed, blanket weed or pond sludge. Out of the three blanket weed has to be the worst. It is terrible stuff. It clogs up the ... Read review

Brothers held in weed death probe!
Review of Member Advice on Weedkilling by jimblob

Advantages: Safe for kids and animals after application, a little seems to go a long way.
Disadvantages: Takes between 2 and 3 weeks to get results

Co-accused deny murder! Bill and Ben, otherwise known as “The flower pot men”, both denied having anything to do with the killing of Weeeeeeed. They were both apprehended last night after the grisly remains of little Weeeed were found in the garden, Police refuse to reveal just how little Weeeeed met her demise but our reporter was told that she was found “all shrivelled up and limp and had a nasty brown hue where once she was radiant in green” ...
...knew her, she has had many attempts on her life over the years but has always pulled through, even when she was almost beheaded by a wayward strimmer she was soon back to her old self. Last year she overcame poisoning, uprooting and even when she was badly burned by a garden blow torch she was soon on the mend and had no scarring to show for her ordeal. A post mortem has been carried out by Dr Hogweed and the findings are sending shockwaves throughout ... Read review

Tips for Saving Money
Review of Member Advice on Saving Money at Home by TheChosen1

Advantages: saving leads to wealth and helps avoid financial ruin
Disadvantages: requires discipline

When the going gets tough, the tough get going. In these troubled times, we all must do some belt tightening measures. We must amp up the austerity. Unless you are a multi-millionaire with a huge passive income, you must save. Well saving is an activity that is easier than one may expect. All you need to do is develop the habit of doing it. If you do something for twenty one days straight then it becomes a habit. It is simply a matter of discipline ...
...whole strategy. Those who fail to plan, plan to fail. We must do things in an orderly and systemized manner. One of the first things you must do is set boundaries. You must do what is called a budget. Here, you allocate your income to a list of expenses such as food, utilities, rent and clothing. You could also include to the list the amount or the percentage you would put away for savings. There is a nice range of accounting software to help you ... Read review

Advantages: Free for over 60's, frendly service, great and easy to use website
Disadvantages: were so busy i had to wait 2 weeks for a survey

Wow this really is worth while an if you find a company that do home insulation grants the jobs could be done for free, my parents had a company in www.homeinsulationgrants.com as they offer grants and because they were over 60 they said they were entitled to it completely free.
