I will start by telling you a bit about hypothyroidism the symptoms and how it is treated I have been taking thyroxin for 11 years now and my levels are never right so I though this would be good review for me to do

Some people do not know where the thyroid is located so I have include a diagram for this
Hypothyroidism overly know as an under active thyroid (mexoedema and hashimotos disease) is simply when the thyroid gland dose not produce enough thyroxin so the bodies metabolism slows down and can only be treated by the taken of thyroxin tablets which start from 25mcg it will depend on your thyroid levels which are tested by given blood every 4 weeks to how much you are put on I am on a big dose of 250mcg
It easy to life with the disorder and all medication is free as you don't pay for prescriptions as you excepet from this due to a medical reason
While pregnant you are monitored a lot more and I know from past experiences your levels can go mad as mine did and I was montertered an a two weekly basses
The most common symptoms for hypothyroidism are
Tiredness
Increased areawearness to the cold
Dry course hair pore brittle nails
Constipation
Aches and muscle pains
Fertility proplems/miscarage
Unexplained weight gain
Anaemia
In most women there periods become longer and heaver
In very severe cases it is known for people to become unsteady on there feet become mentally disturbed and even to hallucinate

Im currently under going tests for this myself and before the doctor mentioned it i didnt know anything about the condition so im trying to do as much reading up on it as possible. Interesting read but would benefit from some more information, e.g. how its affected you, the diagnosis process etc.

I knew nothing about this condition, so it was interesting to read your review.
