Why did I do this???

Advantages: Why its bald!
Disadvantages: Too much info if youre a bloke!

Lucky me,I had a beauty voucher for my local salon for Christmas and was just coming to the end of it.I think I had just about tried every treatment that they had on offer, facials, massages,a very painful session of electrolysis for a small split vein on my face.I think that I would have rather had her use a Samurai Sword than a tiny needle.I have never been so near to rigamortis this side of the tunnel of light.

...those lovely Greeks to my pale, white, almost transparent,Anglo-English-Albino skin. So theres me thinking they arent going to want to see long swathes of hair flapping in the wind, trailing from my bikini bottoms. So I thought Ok,lets get it waxed.

For some reason I thought a Brazilian wax would be the way to go.I am sitting here thinking of the reason why I chose to have this type of wax.I think I chose it so that there was definitely ... more

Wear nice pants

Advantages: hassle free legs for weeks
Disadvantages: pain, expense

Going to get your legs waxed has to be up there in the embarrassing experiences list, right? Along with ‘first bra fitting’ or first time you buy contraception. It’s something that thousands, probably millions of people do, but you always feel like you are the only one who’s been stupid enough to do it, and EVERYONE else is laughing at you. Before you go you have to allow yourself to become a gorilla, refraining from hair ...
...slim, coiffured beauty therapist makes you strip down to your Marks and Spencers minis, the ones with the elastic going, and you have to spend nearly an hour looking like a chicken getting plucked, while your therapist strips every little follicle out of your skin, showing obvious displeasure at the flabby bits. That’s the generally perceived view anyway, but what is it really like? Before I headed to sunny Corfu on holiday, I decided to get ...

Hairy bums and lips

Advantages: Lasts longer then shaving
Disadvantages: Painful and expensive

WHY WAX? Basically it lasts longer than any other method as it rips hairs out at the root rather than just cutting them – up to 6 weeks depending upon your rate of regrowth. Shaving can involve some blood if you cut yourself and within a day or two stubble is noticeable. Using hair dissolving cream has not worked very well on me. The results can be uneven, the process is quite fiddly and the cream can smell quite strongly of ammonia. THE PROCESS ...
...beautician (or you, if you are very brave) smears some warm wax (often containing tea tree) on the affected part usually with a spatula and then presses a strip of special material on top of the wax. This strip of material is quickly ripped away from the skin against the direction of hair growth and (hopefully) all of your fuzz comes away with it. It is painful but quick. The problem is how many times it has to be done – the strip is only about ...

No pain no gain

Advantages: Hair free for over a week!
Disadvantages: The pain

The first thing that comes into most people's heads when they think of waxing is ouch that must hurt or if they have done a home kit done that done it once and never again. My attitude is, try it once and if you can not handle the pain at all well at least you can say you have tried. I have not done a home waxing kit as the thought of pulling my own hairs out sends shivers down my spine. The main reason behind this is that a professional has been ...
...the right angle and speed when pulling it off to decrease the pain. Also if it hurts when you do it yourself you don't want to stop half way and have a wax strip on your leg and there are certain places you will not be able to do at all on your own trust me on that one. So this review is going to be about getting wax from a salon. Prices can vary from salon to salon, by a few pounds for each treatment. You will also find that salons do a reduction ...

How to use hot candle wax in a sex or BDSM scene.

Advantages: Can be lots of fun!!!
Disadvantages: If not done safely, with the right candles, a trip to hospital could be in order.

WARNING. This opinion is NOT about waxing your legs. It IS about DROPPING HOT WAX ONTO YOUR PARTNER’S BODY as part of SEX/BDSM play. Therefore this opinion is NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED OR THOSE UNDER 16. Now the warning is over I will stop the annoying use of capitals for attention grabbing. UPDATE: I have added a section near the end on where you can buy candles which have been tested for wax play incase this op sparks you interest! Introduction ...
...wax onto your partner’s body) can be as important as the actual sensation of the hot wax in making the experience enjoyable. However as with all BDSM play, real world fear is not enjoyable. My aim in writing this opinion is to help you make up your own mind whether wax play is for you and if it is then how to do it safely so that the real world fear can be minimised. I am going to start off by telling you important safety factors, then a brief ...

Wax on .... Wax off

Advantages: Oh read the bloomin' opinion
Disadvantages: PAIN, ingrowing hairs

I always promised Trampus I would write an opinion on waxing, when I originally wrote this she was taking a break from Ciao, so she missed it, tut! As she is now back I have updated it especially, Sarah this one if for you honey.... Right, let's get started then. First rule of waxing, don't try it yourself. Yes, you may have just read about the most wonderful product, how the wax rolls on easily and smoothly, but don't be fooled. Waxing isn't easy ...
...If you try it at home you will end up looking like a hairy toffee apple, unable to remove the wax or hairs properly and your legs stuck to your knickers for the day. Find yourself a decent beautician, by word of mouth preferably and let them do the work for you. I have a girl who comes to my house, Claire. She has been with me for almost ten years now and we are actually very good friends, so I get a discount too, see I told you it was better. ...

Wax won't get in your eyes

Advantages: It takes the bother out of plucking
Disadvantages: a little more painful than tweezers

shape was achieved Since then I have not looked back. At regular intervals of approximately 4 weeks I repeat what was done in the salon in my bathroom with cold wax strips, which I cut to the required shape before applying to my eyebrow area. It is the best way to eliminate all the very thin hair, which I can hardly see even with my glasses on! The only drawback I can see is the wait involved in order to make the process worthwhile. However waiting 4 weeks is my own personal choice. It would be just as easy to repeat at shorter intervals to avoid using tweezers for emergency removals in the meantime. All in all I thoroughly recommend it, with all the usual precautions usually in place for waxing and wax use. If your skin is sensitive or prone to irritate easily, I would seek advice before having it done, but if, like me, your ...
