All Hail the New King of MP3

audiogalaxy.com If like me you have been searching for some of your old favourite songs in MP3 format, and an easy way to get hold of the latest hits. Then let me introduce you to the missing link. Audiogalaxy is very similar to Napster in that you exchange files over the Internet, however it’s layout is a lot easier than Napster and it is a lot easier to use. In order to use Audiogalaxy first you must download a programme, which acts as your satellite to download MP3’s, this is easily done and can be downloaded from CNET.COM. Once you have downloaded this programme and set it up, (very easy not a big programme to download and takes seconds to install and set up for use). You are now ready to start downloading your favourite songs. At the top of your screen you will find a search engine for MP3’s. This really is an awesome site and whatever song you are looking for you will find it here from obscure 60,70,80,90’s songs to the latest hits. ...

Snatch (DVD) 27/05/2001

SNATCH Steeling Stones and Breaking Bones

Snatch (DVD) Snatch is a really good film made by the same director as Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, it seems that the director learnt from his mistakes in Lock Stock and used his gained knowledge to produce this excellent film. The plot, without giving too much away. Basically a diamond is stolen in Amsterdam and brought to England as a stop off before going to the mafia in America. This is an excellent film with some excellent roles played by some unknown actors, for a change, with some very well known actors thrown in. One of the problems I had with Lock Stock was relating Grange Hill characters to East End gangsters. This did not happen in this time. Normally when I see an American actor in a British film especially one with a regional dialect I cringe, But this time Brad Pitt, plays an excellent part as a Pikey, to the unknown that’s a gipsy. He really pulls the character off to a tee. Vinnie Jones is just brilliant as the normal hard nut. The only thing with this film is that it is a lad’s film and not one for a quite night in with the missus as I do not think it would be appreciated. ...

Mrkonjic Grad (Bosnia-Herzegovina) 27/04/2001

Ever Changing, Ever Beautiful

Mrkonjic Grad (Bosnia-Herzegovina) Mrkonjic Grad is a fantastic town about an hour and a half's drive away from Banja Luka, I have visited it yearly since the war and it really is a nice place to visit. Do not be put off about the war that was some time ago now and things have changed significantly now. There is only one hotel and it is in the centre of town. There are more bars there per an inch, that drinking is not a problem in this town. There are lot's of good Cloths shops and cloths are quite cheep. Remember Yugoslavia was popular holiday destinations for quite some time and lots of people do speak English especially with this now being a British Army Garrison Town. So again you really do not need to worry about your safety here. There is a very nice natural lake alongside a manmade lake a couple of miles up the road in summer this place is a sun trap and a fantastic place to visit if only for it's stunning beauty. Mrkonjic Grad is a beautiful place to visit and well worth the visit

Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD 27/04/2001

American Classic or More Car for Your Money

Jeep Cherokee 2.5 TD I have just collected my new car, a brand shiny new 2.5 Turbo Diesel Jeep Cherokee 60th Anniversary Special Edition. This really is feature packed due to it being their 60th Anniversary. Check out the free extras: Anti Lock Brakes Driver and Passenger Airbags Electric Height Adjustable Front Seats High Level Rear Brake Locking Fuel Filter Cap Locking Wheel Nuts Side Impact Protection Guards Smart Key Immobiliser Air Conditioning Auxiliary Power Socket Electric Windows (Front and Rear) Engine Bay, Cargo Area and Entry Lights Floor Console with Cup holders and Covered Storage Folding Rear Bench Seat Heated Front Seats Illuminated Vanity Mirrors Leather Faced Seats Leather Covered Steering Wheel Power Adjustable Front Seats (Six Way Control) Remote Central Locking Roof Console with Map Lights, Compass and Trip Computer Alloy Wheels Electric and Heated Door Mirrors Tinted Windows This really is feature packed; it cost me under £19000. It really is worth every penny. In collecting it, I had to drive it across Europe, and have to say that it was one of the most enjoyable trips in a car that I have ever made. I have never had a Diesel car before, but the economy of 31.4 MPG was enough to tempt me. I had allways thought that diesel was sluggish and not really a very smooth drive, however add a turbo and this has a quick response, more quicker than my last car, a Landrover Freelander. It is also one of the smoothest drives that I have ever had. I decided ...

Download this and save lives

ud.com (Cancer Research Project) One in four of us will at some time suffer from cancer. The high mortality rate, the suffering experienced by patients from the side effects of existing treatments, and the high costs of treatment all contribute to making cancer a priority for drug research. A New Way to Help A landmark research project has begun that allows people to make a real difference in the fight against cancer. This is no regular donation request: a participant is never asked to open a checkbook or volunteer time. The Intel-United Devices Cancer Research Project is asking you to volunteer your PC to help process molecular research being conducted by the Department of Chemistry at the University of Oxford in England and the National Foundation for Cancer Research. To participate, you simply download a very small, no cost, non-invasive software program that works like a screensaver: it runs when your computer isn't being used, and processes research until you need your machine. Your computer never leaves your desk, and the project never interrupts your usual PC use. It's Easy and Safe There is no cost to participate and no impact on your computer use. The project software cannot detect or transfer anything on your machine but project-specific information. It just allows your computer to screen molecules that may be developed into drugs to fight cancer. Each individual computer analyses a few molecules and then sends the results back over the Internet for further research. The goal is to ...

Maybe Baby (DVD) 10/04/2001

Sex on lay lines

Maybe Baby (DVD) This is not an outstanding film, it is, however a very funny film. Based on a book by Ben Elton, far from his best pieces of work. Without giving the plot away too much, the story revolves around a successful married couple whose biggest hope is to have a child, and the tribulations faced by them in trying to conceive. This is a funny film, however sometimes you have to wait a while for the jokes, but when they do come they are very funny. This is not a film for youngsters and it is a bit of a girly film, however if are subjected to it by your wife / girlfriend it has enough to keep you watching, and blokes as well as women will find it extremely funny. Good acting and I can’t remember, who the female is but she looks a lot like Cameron Dias ...

Ayia Napa (Cyprus) 08/04/2001

Sun Sea and Sex

Ayia Napa (Cyprus) I went to Cyprus in 1994, and I was there for 6 months. Cyprus is fantastic, a real lads and lasses holiday, packed with stunning beaches and very affordable. Ayia Napa has the best nightlife, this place is crawling with the 18 – 30 holiday crowd and if that’s what you are looking for you will not be disappointed. There is so much to do here, you have all the water sports, you can even go on a weekend trip to Egypt to visit the Sphinx and the pyramids at a very reasonable price, and they also have 2-day trips to Israel and the holy lands. Back on the Island it is well worth a trip to the Northern side of Cyprus. Cyprus is one of the very last remaining country’s to still be split into two, one side is Greek and the other side is Turkish. There is some fantastic shopping to be done on the Turkish side with really cheep clothes, for example Levi Jeans for £4.00. Here are some non-package holiday tips for those on a budget: 1. Just buy a flight and get there as fast as you can, flight costs can vary depending on the time of year, but there are some very good last minute bargains. 2. It is very easy to get accommodation, and very cheep, a lot cheaper that the tour operators will charge you. 3. Simply get into town and have a wonder about, outside most homes and hotels they advertise rooms. It is quite easy to get a hotel room for £5.00 a night negotiate with the management. Remember they would rather have you stay in there for a reduced price than ...

General: Sweden 07/04/2001

Rekindle the magic of Christmas or Rudolf gets it

General: Sweden I visited Sweden at Christmas in 1997. If you want to rekindle the magic of Christmas even for an adult this is the place to go. Having said that, Sweden really is two destinations rolled into one package, depending on the time of year that you decide to go. I went to meet up with an old army friend of mine who had left the forces for a new life in Sweden with his Swedish wife. The first thing that hit me when I arrived at Lulu International Airport was the cold, Minus 15 degrees, but it was a different kind of cold, a very dry cold, which surprised me as I had always imagined extreme temperatures, and did not think that I would be going out that much. But it was quite bearable. I then travelled down to Kalix Nyborg, which is at the top end of Sweden on the Artic circle, and about an hour and a half’s drive from Finland. I found Sweden was very expensive for certain things, if you are looking for a booze tour, forget it, unless you are loaded. Sweden is very picturesque and at Christmas there is a warm glow from every house, as most if not every house puts candles in every window of the house. One thing that I did find strange was the lack of daylight hours with only 3 / 4 hours daylight everyday. A couple of days into my holiday my friend suggested that we drove to Finland for the day, and we set off at about 10 in the morning. As we were driving my friend told me that if we were lucky we might see some reindeer, with that one bounced off the front of the car ...

Microsoft Autoroute Express Euro 2000 Media 06/04/2001

More reliable than your mates

Microsoft Autoroute Express Euro 2000 Media I don’t know about you, but I am always getting lost whilst driving. I also find it extremely hard to look at an AA road atlas whilst looking at road signs. It is far too easy to miss junctions especially whilst you are out exploring. Microsoft AutoRoute is a very handy piece of software, which plans your route for you. Which means you don’t have too. You can pick your routes by a number of methods: Fastest, Most economical, most scenic and it will even tell you about sights of interest along your route. It is so simple to use, you just type in where you want to start and where you want to finish. Submit that and a couple of seconds later it comes back to you with a choice of routes and a map. Once you have chosen your route you can then ask for a print out of the route. It then gives you a very simple, easy to follow list of roads to take, what junctions to get off and any other additional information that you might have asked for. If you want to get more in depth with the software you can tell it details about your car i.e. CC rating, type of fuel, what type of speeds you tend to do on certain roads and it will then give you a fairly accurate measurement of the time your journey will take, the amount of fuel your journey will use and the total cost of your journey. If you don’t have a clue where somewhere is to start off with you can always run a find and it will show you on the map as well as tell you about places of interest. Autoroute is not ...

Split (Croatia) 06/04/2001

Forgotten Paradise

Split (Croatia) If you venture to Split on the Croatian coast you could well be in for a big surprise, Split is a forgotten paradise, a once popular holiday resort. Before the early eighties and all of the troubles in Yugoslavia (Croatia is a former republic of Yugoslavia) Croatia’s coastline was a top holiday destination. Croatia reopened to tourism around 3 years ago, it never really closed but it was unadvisable to visit before this. It is however not visited that much, not that there is anything wrong with it, quite to the contrary. Only if you mentioned Croatia or Yugoslavia to most people it automatically conjures up images of the Balkans wars. But that now adds to the beauty of Split as it is not so populated by tourists and is managing to retain it’s own culture. I went to Troger, which is right on the beach. There is a very fine Edwardian style hotel here, but as it is in close proximately to the airport it is rather expensive by Croatian standards, around 70 Deutch Marks a night for two. If you venture down the road along the beach, there are many private homes facing the beach, the majority of these homes offer rooms for rent at the rather modest price of 30 Deutch Marks a night @£10.00. The standard is not the same as a hotel and there are no meals provided. There are many restaurants along the beach and a 3-course meal will cost you around £7.00 for 2 people. The area it’s self is a very old attractive Dalmatian area with many fine old buildings ...

Paul McKenna Hypnotherapy Tape 05/04/2001

Hypnotherapy

Paul McKenna Hypnotherapy Tape I bought this product to try and give up smoking, I found that the first side of the tape was full of breathing exercises to help you relax and think about why you want to give up smoking. Paul McKenna gave some very sound reasons for stopping smoking along with my own reasons that had made me decide to try and stop. The Second side of the tape contained the hypnotherapy and I personally found it very hard to be hypnotised as I found it very hard to relax when I was thinking about being hypnotised. The tape is of an average length and it is worthwhile buying. I can't say that I have stopped smoking but that do's not mean that this product is not good as some people are harder to hypnotise than others. I have lent this tape to some of my friends, who have had good results with it. I will try again, but next time I will try this tape in conjunction with Nicorette patches and hopefully I will have some success. ...

htmail.com 05/04/2001

Get Rich

htmail.com Well richer than you were before, I found out about HTmail.com through Ciao and decided to give it a try, I have now been signed up for about two weeks now. I have received about 10 Emails since then, they don't pour into your Email address normally about one a day and sometimes if you are lucky 2. The quality of the Emails are usually get rich schemes but you have to open them to close them so that you can send a code back to Htmail.com. So far I have made around about 30p, which is not a lot, but for what you are doing it's not too bad. You will never get rich by this, but you will over a year make about £5.00 / £6.00 which for a couple of seconds is very good especially, when you consider you get sent rubbish emails anyway, but this way you will be richer than you were before even if it is only £5.00. It is very easy to set up your account and just as easy to quit. I would recommend it to everyone, as it really is something for nothing. ...
