This is my first Laptop, and I must say I think I have made a top choice. Although a bit pricey in comparison to others of similar spec, I feel the difference in quality and durability outweigh the cost implications!
The business side of the laptop speaks for itself, a good size HDD (40gb) with a good read write speed, allowing for image manipulation to simple spreadsheet usage. The ram I upgraded to 1gb, (greedy I know), but I do create a lot of images with Adobe PS (memory hungry).
The sound system is good but not as good as the Harmon Kardon speaker system in the next model up! Hwoever through the use of a good purchase of a Bose headset I dont really care how they sound!
The card reader is an excellent addition to this piece of equipment allowing pretty much all types of card from XD to SD to be read quickly and efficiently. This coupled with the USB2 (faster than USB......obvisouly), is enough for even the most arduous picture buff!
The screen speaks for itself, wide and crystal clear it allows you to watch DVD's in top quality. The battery does well and is sturdy enough to watch a couple of DVD's without failure.
For me this one is a winner!
I have both a "wet camera" and now this little beauty! I found this camera very simple to use and so light I sometimes wonder if I have it in my camera bag! The zoom is good, although I must admit to purchasing an additional lens which enhances the zoom yet more, and again was easy to fit and use. The XD data cards were a bit small and fiddly to insert to start with, but once you have the hang of it they slot in nicely. The supplied USB cable works a treat if your unlucky enough to NOT have a card reader, data transfer is fast and painless! I was a bit disappointed to note that although there is a slot for a power cable there was none supplied in the package. These are not expensive and could easily have been included. The software is good and also very easy to use. All in all a robust and neat little digital camera suitable for all.
