XFX Radeon HD 5850 Graphics card 1 GB GDDR5 SDRAM 29/02/2012

A Good card, even when it's outdated

XFX Radeon HD 5850 Graphics card 1 GB GDDR5 SDRAM This graphics card I have been using for about 1.5 years. I bought this product at the time of initial release for about $ 300. The price is quite high, but the performance that I got quite worth. It's been 1.5 years since its initial release, so I think the price is cheap right now, maybe about 150-180$.These cards can handle the latest games pretty well, by setting high-very high, even now. When not in use, this graphics card lowers power consumption which is used automatically, until only about 19watt. The technology is called ATI / AMD PowerPlay. This I think is very efficient to prevent energy waste. The temperature of this card when I'm using furmark for about 5 minutes is 82 C with ambient of 28 C (sorry no screenshot). Slightly negative thing I found was probably on the driver provided by AMD. The drivers often do not provide additional performance, and even worsened the performance of this graphics card. But I see an increase in the stability of these driver hours, so I think AMD intends to correct the deficiency.Currently ATI / AMD has released the latest series of graphics cards, the 6xxx and 7xxx series, which was recently launched. The cards have better performance than the 5xxx series, but for the price / performance, the HD5850 is still included in the top ranks. My advice, for people who want to buy a new graphics card, this XFXHD5850 still be included in consideration.============== =============== ========================= =============== ...
