Lego Disney Princess 41050: Ariel's Amazing Treasures 24/02/2017

Lego Disney Ariels Amazing Treasures....

Lego Disney Princess 41050: Ariel's Amazing Treasures Having a five year old niece allows me to explore and let out my inner child and I get to be all girly when we are looking after her! I am fortunate that we are a close family and that we are able to look after her on a regular basis to help the family out. We have got a little bit of a toy box sat in our house that she can delve into when we are looking after her and one of the toys in there that we have recently started playing with is the Lego Disney Princess set and the Amazing treasures of Ariel from the Little Mermaid. Now I am a big fan of the Little Mermaid film anyway and the fact my niece loves it is even better so i couldn't resist this set for her! Here are my thoughts after we have played with the product for a few weeks now. Anyone that has purchased Lego will know it is not the cheapest toy brand out there. This set will cost you around the £27 - £30.00 mark dependant on where you make the purchase from. We had a voucher with our local paper for Smyths toys so we were able to benefit from £5.00 off which was a bonus. This Lego set can also be found online of in the Toys are Us stores. The set as I am sure you have guessed is a Disney one with Ariel the mermaid being one of the key figures. You can tell by the box that the set comes in that this is a definite girly one and the accessories are really good, even if you have not seen the film, the underwater scene is really lovely and you can have hours of creative fun with it. The set also comprises Flounder ...

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm All You Need Is Pink 23/02/2017

Rimmel Colour rush All you need is pink........

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm All You Need Is Pink I have a variety of different make up products in my make up bag. I get so easily swayed when out shopping with my girl friends and often end up purchasing something that I didn't go out looking for, that would be far to sensible after all! The product that I am going to be reviewing today is my Rimmel Colour Rush balm in the All you need is pink shade. We were just having a look around one afternoon and it was my friend that picked the product up first but it was me that went and purchased it, amongst other items! I tend to have used lipstick mainly but have had the odd gloss and this was something even different, it looks just like a crayon! Here are my thoughts on the product after using it for a few weeks now. Having used a couple of the shades in the past I was keen to see what this one had to offer.... The Rimmel Colour balm will cost you around the £5.99 mark but this is dependant on where you purchase it fro, I have always found the Rimmel branded products to be reasonable priced compared to some of the other high end products on the market and the availability of the brand is also really good as well. I got this in Boots but Superdrug, Savers and some Supermarket will also stock the product. There are a few shades in this product, mine is the Make me Blush and is a softer pink and more lighter pin than the others in the range. The product as I mentioned above does look like a crayon in my opinion but thats not a criticism, more of a funky design quirk that I ...

Revlon Concealer Brush 21/02/2017

Revlon Concealer Brush....

Revlon Concealer Brush Whilst I don't put a full face of make up on every morning, I do try to put a little bit on before I leave the house for work, mainly so I don't scare people on my way in or when I get to the office, it is amazing what a little bit of mascara and lips can do to help! alongside this, I tend to use some concealer to cover up any dark or red spots and hide the circles under my eyes! I often use the Touche Eclair product but I also have a Rimmel concealer stick as well and if I am using this then I use the product that I am reviewing today and that is my Revlon Concealer brush. I purchased this a few months ago now and have used it fairly regularly so here are my thoughts on the product. The Revlon brand is one that I have used several times in the past but this brush is the only one I have purchased as opposed to several of their make up items. You will be looking at paying around the £8.00 mark for the brush dependant on where you purchase the brush from. I got this with points from my Boots advantage card but this can also be found in Superdrug and some of the larger supermarkets as well. The Revlon brush is really bright and dynamic in colour, it is a mixture of reds and black. I would say its about 15 cm in length so its not a really tall brush. There is a black section at the bottom and this has the Revlon name on it, then the brush turns red and this section holds all of the bristles in place. The bristles are thin and flat and according to the Revlon brand this will ...

Gibsons Meadow Farm Jigsaw Puzzle 20/02/2017

Gibson Meadow Farm Jigsaw....

Gibsons Meadow Farm Jigsaw Puzzle I have often had a love of jigsaws and I tend to do more during the winter months, there is no gardening needs for me to take care of and without the natural light I can't do much around the home so I have recently completed the latest jigsaw from my collection. It was one that I was very lucky to receive as a christmas present and having started it about a week or so ago I have now been able to complete the jigsaw. Here are my thoughts on the product that I am going to be review today and that is my Gibsons Meadow Farm Jigsaw. The Gibsons brand is one that I have used before when it comes to completing jigsaws. I don't really have a preference of a brand but there only tends to be a handful of brands that are on the market, I guess games consoles came along! If you were looking to purchase this jigsaw, I beehive my friend purchased this from the Amazon website and you will be looking at paying around the £10.00 mark for it and this is a reasonable price in my opinion. I have purchased Jigsaws from the Gibsons range from the Smyths toy store and the Range store but I am not sure if this particular design can be found in there. Like most jigsaws, the image of what will be the completed jigsaw can be found on the front of the box, this lovely country from yard setting is lovely. Whilst I love the city life there is something so tranquil and peaceful about the scene itself. The jigsaw is a 1000 piece one so unless you are a complete pro then this is not one you will finish ...

Tangle Angel Hair Angel Shine 17/02/2017

Tangle Angel Hair brush.....

Tangle Angel Hair Angel Shine With hair like mine I have tried several different hairbrushes in the past. Let me set the scene, my hair is just passed my shoulders and on a good day it can be curled or with the aid of my trusted GHDs can be worn in a straight style, however on a bad day it is simply a frizzy mess that can't be tamed! I have tried a number of different styling products in the past as well as well as hair brushes and combs and this leads me nicely onto the product that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Tangle Angel Dhine brush. The idea is that after seeing my hairdresser use one quite similar when styling my roots was that I was going to give this one a go. So here are my thoughts. The hair brush was one that I purchased a few months ago now, I got it from the Fragrance direct website but I have seen that you can get ones quite similar from Debenhams and Boots stores as well. You will be looking at paying around the £9.00 mark which is slightly more than I would have perhaps paid in the past but having seen how my hairdresser lifted my roots with a similar brush I was keen to try this as opposed to continue with my paddle rush that I had used for several years. This brush has a wooden handle that is white in colour and then there are v shaped black bristles that will according to the Angel Hair brand leave you will added shine through you hair (Well that and the amount of shine product I use as well!) The brush allows close contact with the cuticles of your hair and ...

Rimmel 60 Seconds London Xpress Brush Nail Varnish Magnetise 650 16/02/2017

Rimmel Nail Varnish Magnetise Xpress....

Rimmel 60 Seconds London Xpress Brush Nail Varnish Magnetise 650 I do love having my nails done, whether that be fingers or toes. I have built up quite the collection of nail colours now and have various shades from various different brands. The product that I am going to be review today is my Rimmel Magnetise shade of nail colour. Whilst I know that spring is not quite here just yet I was getting a little fed up of al the red winter shades I have been having on my nails and wanted something a little brighter for the next few weeks so I opted for this shade. Here are my thoughts on the product. The Rimmel brand is one that I have used many times before and this nail colour was one that I had purchased several months ago as I wanted to use it at the end of the summer say year, I think I had only used it once so it was as good as new and waiting to go on my nails. I have always been impressed with the Rimmel brand no matter what it is that I have purchased from them, nail colour or make up . You will be looking at paying around the £4 - £5.00 mark for this product but it is just dependant ton where you get it from. I found that Savers had some great offers on the Rimmel products last time I looked. The shade was the thing that attracted me the most to the colour, it was something that I didn't really have in my collection and I did want to try something that was a real variance to my shades of corals , reds and pinks. The bottle itself is made of clear glass so you can clearly see the shade through the glass and then there is all the ...

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer Caramel 14/02/2017

Burts Bees Lip Shimmer Caramel....

Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer Caramel I have often see the Burts Bees range of products when I walk inside my local Debenhams store. The range of their products is right in the door way but I have only ever purchased their Lip Balm. That said they recently moved the display of products and put them more central to the store as they had a promotion on the products and this is where I started to have look at all of the other items in their range and this leads me nicely onto the product that I am going to be reviewing today and thats the Burts Bees Lip Shimmer Caramel product. I have lots of lipstick in my collection as well as lip balms and shimmers but there is always room for more and so after using this for a couple of months now, here are my thoughts on the product. The Burts Bees products as I mentioned at the beginning of the review can be found in Debenhams or online from several beauty sites. You will be looking at paying around the £5.39 mark for the shimmer colour and I think this is a fair and reasonable price to pay for the product considering the cost of other lip products in the marketplace. There is certainly no missing this lip product as it is the signature bright yellow look that the majority of the Burts Bees products have. It is slightly longer than a lip balm but it is still in a round tube where there is a removable cap that is the colour of the Lip Shimmer. There were several different products available from this colour range but the caramel suits my darker hair well as well as my skin ...

Pilot BPGP-10RM Retractable Ball Pen 13/02/2017

Pilot Retractable Ball Pen....

Pilot BPGP-10RM Retractable Ball Pen Working in an office there are several items that I have to use on a regular basis, these include pens, pencils and pads. This leads me onto the product that I am going to be review today and that is my Pilot Retractable Ball pen. We tend to just use any old biro that is in our pen pots most of the time in the office. Working in an open plan office there is usually plenty f pens to pick from but we have also quite recently swapped stationary suppliers and we have been fortunate enough to receive a few new pens in as well and this is what led me to the Pilot Ball pen, its a new one I have been using for about month now, here are my thoughts on the product. The Ball pen is one that came directly into stock and we were all told to try a couple of the items, I believe the supplier had sent a few freebies in for us to try! (That and some sweets!) If you are looking to purchase the pen for use at home then you will be looking at paying around the £1.20 price tag. We had these come in a pack and I think we paid close the the £10 mark for them. They can be found in the Rymans stationary stores. Many pens can look the sae or feel the same but these were slightly different to the ones that I had been using as they can be refilled as well as having a slightly different feel to them when I was using them. The pens are really quite impressive and the thing that I find the most impressive is that they have a these non slip groves built into the bottom of the pen that make writing with ...

Mason Pearson Pocket Comb 08/02/2017

Mason Pearson Pocket Comb...

Mason Pearson Pocket Comb I have hair that can be classed as frizzy, wild, out of control, you name it, theres a chance my hair falls under that option! With styling products it can also be made straight or left with a curl so you could say it was versatile! That said it does take some really careful styling and I have lost track of how many different products I have used over the years but with a good curl moose I can get a good curl now but once I have that I have to use a comb as opposed to a brush to finish the style or else the brush will just frizz the hair again and that leads me nicely onto the product that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Mason Pearson comb. The brand is one I have a couple of brushes from so I was confident in the purchase, here are my thoughts on the comb. The comb can be found in John Lewis stores and it will cost you around the £6.00 price tag, however I did think that was a little on the pricey side so I was fortunate enough to find it in TK Maxx for £3! That said John Lewis is a reliable stockist and you may not always pick it up in TK Maxx. I was not to fussy of how the comb looked or if it offered a pintail end as this was literally just to tease my curls out when I was wearing it that style. The comb comes in a rather posh looking box with serval bits of details on the Mason brand itself as well as the comb. Design wise the comb is a brown tortoershell and is made from plastic, This is really smooth feel and when you are handling the comb and ...

Fake Bake Pasty to Tasty Wash Off Instant Tan 07/02/2017

Fake Bake Pasty to Tasty Wash off tan.....

Fake Bake Pasty to Tasty Wash Off Instant Tan Whilst I don't want use fake tan on a regular basis, during the Christmas period I had a coupe of outfits that exposed my rather pale looking skin, It really does not bother me that I have pale skin, its far safer these days though to have a little bit of a glow and so you can give yourself a lift and just bronze your skin as opposed to looking like you have been tangoed! This leads me nicely onto the product that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Fake Bake Tasty Wash off Instant tan. The fact its instant and then it washes off is perfect! So after using it on several occasions, here are my thoughts on the product. The Fake Bake tan is one that can be found on the high street, Boots are reliable stockists of the product. The 125ml bottle that I have will cost you round the £7.00 mark. I don't think that this is a bad price to pay for the product. There are several fake tan products on the market these days but I do see the Fake Bake products more and more these days. The logo on the front of the fake tan is what first caught my eye, saying Pasty to Tasty, I did really like the logo and it made me smile! The pale pink bottle has all of the information about the fake tan on it so you have ingredients that have been used, a list of directions for use as well as further info on the Fake Bake brand. We are told that the Fake Bake tan is a luxury lotion that dissent smell during application, isn't take to apply and will give a good even application so with all that ...

BiC Onyx 1482 Mini Permanent Marker 06/02/2017

Bic Onyx Mini Permanent Marker pen...

BiC Onyx 1482 Mini Permanent Marker Working in an office, there is a number of different stationary items that I use on a regular place, some I am a little bit more fond of than others, so we all tend to have a favourite pen and I was most annoyed when my trusty sellotape dispenser had gone walks off my desk but the product that I am going to be review today is my Bic Onxy Mini Permanent marker pen. Whilst I am not that fond and it doesnt tend to get used on a regular basis, I have realised how much I do depend on the pen being in my pen pot and how much we use it for various tasks around the office. So here are my thoughts on the product. The pens come in via our purchasing department and so for the purpose of this review I have asked the cost of them and you are looking at paying around the £9 mark for a pack of 4 so considering how long these pens last I don't think that is a bad price to pay at all for the pen. You can get the pens from the Amazon website if you are looking to purchase to use them at home but we have a couple of regular stationary suppliers and they both keep these in stock. The pens could be mistaken for looking like a highlighter pen as opposed to a permanent marker pen as they are not round but more rectangular in shape! That said the colour indicator is the lid of he pen and none of these are bright colours, they come in black , blue, red and green. There is the Bic logo clearly marked on the side of the pen and I have to say that after using the pens I find them really comfortable ...

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm Chic A Boom 02/02/2017

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm....

Rimmel Colour Rush Balm Chic A Boom I have used the Rimmel brand of make up products for many years and always been really pleased with not just the low cost but the excellent quality as well. I as out looking for some lip balm a few weeks ago, with the colder weather I was getting through lip balm in large amounts and after picking up some of the product it was the product that I am going to be review today that caught my eye and this was the Rimmel Colour Lip Balm in the shae Chic a Boom. The shade was one that I spotted I think due to the fact it was bright and it just stood out, looking far more fun that the more medicated looking lip balm I had in my hand. Struggling to make a decision, I purchased both! Having used the lip balm for around 5 weeks now, here are my thoughts on the product. The availability of the lip balm is really good. You can get the lip balm in many different stores , I picked mine up in the Savers store but Superdrug and Boots are reliable stockists as well as the larger supermarkets. You will be looking at paying around the £1.50 mark for the product which in my opinion is a really good price to pay, I only paid 99p for the other lip balm so its a fair price. The lip balm itself looks more like a felt tip pen than something you are going to apply to your lips! As I mentioned the colour was what stood out. Rimmel describe the product as being a lightweight but long lasting lip colour. The smooth product will add moisture to your lips. With all of that in mind, I was keen to give ...

Rapesco P20 Shimma Premium Stapler Half-strip 31/01/2017

Rapesco Shimma Premium Stapler....

Rapesco P20 Shimma Premium Stapler Half-strip Working in an office as we use a variety of different stationary items on a regular basis. the items that tend to go missing from peoples desks are the regular pens and pencils as well as rulers and paperclip pots but a few weeks ago my stapler disappeared and ha never been seen since, in fact no one in the office has owned up to the crime! That lead me to having to order a replacement from the Purchasing team and the product that has arrived is the one that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Rapesco Shimma Premium half strip stapler. The stapler has been used on a regular basis and here are my thoughts on the product. I didn't get much of a say in the stapler I got, but then a stapler is a staplerI guess, especially for what I use it for, clipping and securing documents together but not huge bundles of documents, more packs of about 10 sheets maximum. I did ask the department how much the stapler would cost if I was to purchase it as an individual and you will be looking at paying around the £10 mark which I guess as a one off payment isn't to bad. We paid slightly less, taking advantage of the business rates. You can get this online from Amazon or from the Rymans stationary stores. The stapler itself is quite classic looking in my opinion, so it is quite thin and black in colour, there are some silver components to the stapler as well. We are told by the Ryman brand that the stapler will ensure comfortable use and takes pride and place on your desk! Not ...

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner Intense Pink 30/01/2017

Maybelline Colour Sensation Lip Liner in Intense Pink....

Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner Intense Pink I remember first getting into make up during my teenage years and experimenting with lip liner, it was not a success and so I never used the product again! If I am honest I never saw any need to , the lip colours so lipsticks and glosses were enough to give great coverage and colour to m lips. After my wedding day where I had a make up artist, she used a liner of my lips for the big day, after grilling her on my make up trial and seeing how well the lipstick stayed in place, i decided that I was going to have a go with the lipliner and went out to purchase one, that leads me nicely onto he product that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Maybelline Lipliner, here are my thoughts on the product. The lipliner can be found in a number of high street stores, I think that I purchased this one form the Superdrug store but I know that it can be found in Boots and larger supermarkets as well so the availability is quite good with the product. You will be looking at paying around the £3.99 mark for the product. I don't think this is a bad price to pay at all for the lipliner, considering the cost of some of the other liners that I looked at. The Maybelinne brand is one that describes the lipliner as giving smooth defined lips. The actual liner is a pencil and there are a number of different shades that you can get from the brand. You don't necessarily need to match your lipstick to the shade and be spot n but it needs to be close. I have a number of lighter pink ...

Ravensburger Happy Days Cotswolds Jigsaw Puzzle 27/01/2017

Ravensburger Happy Days Cotswolds Jigsaw Puzzle...

Ravensburger Happy Days Cotswolds Jigsaw Puzzle We do enjoy a jigsaw in our household, although finding the time to be able to do a jigsaw is not always the easiest so it tends to be the longer summer evenings or during the christmas period. In between, I tend to sit and do them on my jisaw app as opposed to having a jigsaw tray left on the dining room table! over christmas the jigsaw tradition continued and this leads me nicely onto the product that I am going to be reviewing today and that is my Ravensburger Happy Days Cotswolds Jigsaw puzzle. We had actually gone for a festive look around the Cotswolds as its just under an hour from my home and such a lovely place to have a look at. We purchased the jigsaw puzzle in one of the smaller stores there and having now completed it, here are my thoughts on the product. The jigsaw, which as I mentioned is titled Happy Days Cotswolds is of the town that we visited, Bourton on the Water. The jigsaw will cost you around the £10.00 mark and whilst this is not one you are going to spot in all of the generalist toy stores like Smyths or the Range it can be found online at the Amazon website. The jigsaw jumped out perhaps first and foremost as it was a chilly saturday morning and the image on the jigsaw is a lovely summers day and did make us smile. We have had lovely summer days in the little village and the completed image picks this up really well. The jigsaw is a 1000 piece one and when finished it will measure around the 70 x 50cm size so keep some room free! I have ...
