Member Advice on Tatoos 10/09/2006

A 50th Review Tattoo, Tattoo, Tattoo With Playgirl

Member Advice on Tatoos Whilst asking members what they would like for a 50th review, (Tutu422) susie bless her wanted some advice on tattoo's. seeing as i have severn so far i thought i would share with you my experiences and what i know about the tattoo industry. so here goes............... ....... ****DECIDING ON A TATTOO**** Ok the first and foremost important part of having a tattoo is of course deciding what you want and where. Visit as many tattoo shops as you can and look at plenty of designs. I had a good idea what i wanted so was quite quick and easy for me to decide. There are also some good tattoo magazines on the market. Tattoo, Total tattoo, and savage to name a few. Also there are many internet sites which allow you to view flashes links at the end of the review. ****WHO'S GOING TO DO MY TATTOO**** When deciding who is going to do your tattoo. Please shop around the first you come to may not be the best around. They must of course be licensed, this will also mean they have public liability insurance. this is in place to protect you and the tattooist. A place which is fully licensed means the local authority has granted a license because they adhere to the guidelines which include. Having the correct sterilisation equipment, safety, and a clean place to work. a tattooist having a license has no bearing on how good they can tattoo its just for other guideline issues. Ask as many questions as you need before having a tattoo, some important things to remember is you have to ...

Transposition Of the Great Arteries **UPDATED**

Everything that starts with T ... I thought I would share my experiances with the heart condition of my son. It is'nt as a rare condition and thought it would help others understand some of the technical words and procedures. Some of these procedures are used with many other heart complaints and some are exclusive to this condition. So sit back and let me tell you all I have learned so far. AT THE START My son tyler was born on the 23/03/2002 after a very difficult pregnancy. In this pregnancy I had a condition known as OC (Obstretic colostasis) a condition only found in pregnancy which involves severe itching to the skin. It is a liver condition and he had to be induced at 37wks as it can cause stillbirth and other difficultys. After my son was born at 2.32am we settled on the ward to sleep. The next afternoon a midwife came to check him to let me go home. Tyler's skin was a dusky colour so she called for the doctor. On giving him oxygen his colour did'nt improve so they diagnosed a heart complaint. Rushing him down to the special care unit to be checked they phoned Glenfield hospital heart specialists. They listened to the symptons and suggested T.G.A and confimed they would be on their way to collect him. In the meantime lots of wires and things were incasing my tiny boy as they did all the specialist told them to do. The Glenfield team arrived by ambulance and took myself and Tylers father to a empty room. I was in total shock as I had had alot of scans and nothing was picked up. I had alot of ...

Member Advice on Body Piercing 01/08/2006

Pierce ME Once Pierce Me twice.

Member Advice on Body Piercing As you all know I have recently had abit of an image thing going on. I have had some piercings recently and wanted to give some advice on it. I had my first piercing at the age of nine. Of course this was my ears and to most serious piercers is not really considered body piercing. I am going to go through each I have and also what's available from most good piercing shops. Using these shops are tattooists. I have since learned that piercers only do a two day course. One at a hospital for airborne blood diseases and hepatitis, etc. And one day with a piercer in a shop. Don't let this put you off most are good. Now before we start I have had piercings go wrong so can advise on that also. I recently had a lambret i had to take out because a particular piercer did it in the wrong place it was far to low. It rubbed on my gums and caused a sore. Ok Ok on with what i have. EARS~ As said not really body piercing but done with a gun after makes with a special pen are put onto the ears. A good piercer will let you look at the markings before they pierce. Ears take around six weeks to heal and should be twisted twice daily with clean hands and ear care solution. Don't push the back to close to the ear my sister had one that went wrong and imbedded in the ear lobe. NOSE~ Again done with a gun with a rubber attachment. The rubber attachment is placed just inside the nose. You should be marked to have it in the right place. Been told recently that it should sit on the dip in ...

Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At the Disco 30/06/2006

Panic No Come To The Disco

Fever You Can't Sweat Out - Panic! At the Disco INTRODUCTION Well, I had to write a review on the band i can't stop listening to and am at the moment. I purchased the album saturday last in Woolworth's so was lucky after a good search. This particular band are from America. I first came across them on myspace music. After a listen to some of their tracks on their i couldn't wait to get the album. Panic at the disco's a fever you can't sweat out is so Easy to listen to and catchy. They are from Las Vegas Nevada. When you listen to the album this does show. In one word a cabaret type feel to many of the tracks. You can certainly imagine them playing in a glitzy vegas hotel. You wouldn't think this for an any indie band but let me explain. According to their page they are rock/indie/techno now this does show in many tracks. They have been signed by record company Fueled by Ramen decaydance. And what a find this company had. The record label is under indie and i guess you get mostly that feel. Before i go on about each track, etc. i would like to point out these guys are very busy with a first tour. I am going to see them at leeds festival woo hoo can't wait. They are fully sold out in the USA. But tickets are still available here reading festival is another venue. Plus three dates in London worth checking out. So who do we have for this new genre band Brendon Urie-multi-talented to say the least he is Vocals, Guitar, Keyboard, Piano, Accordion, Organ. Ryan Ross-Guitar, Lyrics, Keyboard, Piano, Accordian, Organ. ...

Who's The Top ciao member......

Who is my Favourite Ciao Member? I thought i would write today about my favourite ciao member. Now you all will be thinking i know who it is i bet you are. But before i spill the beans lets take a look at why i think this author is my favourite. This particular author has been banned more times than i have had hot dinners. He has been known by older members under many an alias. When i first joined ciao as Catwomon this ciaoer was the very first person i read. After of course many a rave from my sister. So last september i joined his reviews and gb were the first i visited. A week later we were close general chat and many a daft gb entry. I as you all know have had many an up and down whilst being a member of ciao, I deleted myself first time round after an argument with my sister. I know all scream (how daft). I missed this particular member so i returned as the the Playgirl you all know today. So who is this member that drew me back to ciao. Well, guys you are all screaming dempseyreview aren't you. Well, you haven't guessed this time as dempsey and i became friends a while after that. He was away when i rejoined for christmas with no Internet access. The member who is my top ciaoer is Badcompany77. why you all ask well when i have been down he has been there to cheer me up. when i have had arguments with other members he has bitch slapped my silly self and calmed me down. The special guy from East Belfast with his wonderful way with writing a review no one else would was there. So what are my ...

Chuckles for members

Jokes With the absence of the lovely dempseyreview i need cheering up. So thought i would share it with you lot. I haven't laughed so much in ages hope it cheers you all up. Have you ever spoken and wished that you could immediately take the words back or that you could crawl into a hole ? Here are the testimonials of a few people who did... *I walked into a hair salon with my husband and three kids in tow and asked loudly, "How much do you charge for a shampoo and a blow job?" I turned around and walked back out and never went back. My husband didn't say a word. He knew better. *I was at the golf store comparing different kinds of golf balls. I was unhappy with the women's type I had been using. After browsing for several minutes, I was approached by one of the good- looking gentlemen who works at the store. He asked if he could help me. Without thinking, I looked at him and said, "I think I like playing with men's balls." *My sister and I were at the mall and passed by a store that sold a variety of candy and nuts. As we were looking at the display case, the boy behind the counter asked if we needed any help. I replied, "No, I'm just looking at your nuts." My sister started to laugh hysterically, the boy grinned, and I turned beet-red and walked away. To this day, my sister has never let me forget. *Have you ever asked your child a question too many times? My three-year-old son had a lot of problems with potty training and I was on him ...

10 Things To Do Before The Ciao Reunion Well, guys and girl the meet is 6 days away so i thought i had better do a ten things before help you lovelies out who are going. Dempseyreview and myself have really enjoyed organising the meet. We are overwhelmed with the support we have received. COOOEEE although can't unfortunately make the meet has been of tremendous help. TUTU also has been wonderful in helping dempsey and I advertise the meet along with THINGYWHATSIT. All those out there who are coming and even those who aren't for their nice messages we are very grateful. Well, lets make a start I'll have had a think its just to help you out a little. 1* ARE YOU NERVOUS* This is the first thing i wanted to cover. Its the first thing we all think about. Will they like me?, What if my voice is what they don't expect? Well we could all have a thousand and one questions. And i am sure on saturday as we all travel the sick feeling will be there for most. The first and utmost thing to remember is that we are all in the same boat, we will all be feeling the same. Its a natural reaction and we are all so chatty on here i am sure after introductions the feeling will pass. I'll be on the loo all morning before we meet so haha you won't be the only ones. And remember you can phone dempsey or myself if that makes it easier. 2* TRAVEL* Have you all sorted travel?. This is something you need to be looking into. I myself have a four hour train journey (hopefully without delay it is railtrack after all lol). I have ...

Ciao Meet June 2006 Are You Joining Updated

Proposed Ciao Meets As some may be aware DempseyReview and Myself Playgirl27 have decided that a ciao meet is on the cards. I have often wondered as most must have what your friend you speak to most days is like in the flesh. We share gossip, Secrets, opinions, And general stuff about ourselves. Gosh how many ciao cafe challenges have most of us done to give insite into our lives and personality. We all share our common interest Ciao so what would you all say to a fun packed day out and chance to get to know your fellow ciaoer. I myself when my I must say best friend on here dempsey suggested it wary. This my friends is a normal reaction will they like me? am I what they expect? etc. We could all go though the same questions all the time or we could meet up and answer them. I am sure most have a close or good friend here on the site they are dieing and would give their eye teeth to meet in person. So we have a solution to those questions you may have asked yourselfs many times. MANCHESTER MEETING 3RD OF JUNE 2006~~~~ Yes people this is the day when people just like you and me can get their long awaited questions out the way possiably make firm friendships and have a laugh and a good bit to eat to boot. Myself, Dempseyreview and at time of writing a few others now are meeting at Piccadily train station at Manchester at 11.00am. Then after all members arrive will go on for something to eat and drink and a chat. Introductions can be done more easily in a relaxed atmosphere and what ...

Fisher-Price Dance Baby Dance - Classical Stacker 24/05/2006

For Your Little Stars.

Fisher-Price Dance Baby Dance - Classical Stacker My Son Jake was brought this by a friend for his 1st birthday. He is nearly two now and still uses it. Its bright and colourful and lights up which is nice. Plays only one tune. This can get alittle annoying for use mums. So here we are on with the review. COMPANY............... .. Fisher Price have been making toys for children for years. They strive on making their toys bright colourful and reasonably priced. I have found for the best part that nearly every toy I have brought that is made by Fisher Price to be sturdy, hard wearing, Educational, and of course fun. PACKAGING............... .. When seen in the store you can test the toy before purchase. Of course it comes in an open front box. Upon opening the toy you are faced with the usual. You know what i mean if you have children, wires holding it in the box coupled with sticky tape. So after twenty minutes of tearing and unwinding wires its out the box. (Please note the wires and small plastic bits are easily swallowed, So discard carefully) WHAT DOES IT DO............... .. On looking at the product it has four bright coloured stars. These are chunky with textured raised bumps. I found this nice to have some texture to it for small hands. On the top is the star which when placed on plays the music. It also rocks slightly which i also found a nice addition. Its a stacker so each star being slightly smaller than the last. My son got to grips with it easily. On Placing the Blue larger star on first. It ...

Playgirl27 does Coolaskaha challenge.........

Everything that starts with K ... Coolaskaha Invented this challenge and i liked the look of it when i read Christainfilmcritic's. Loved his answers and although not invited to do it thought i would give it a bash. So here goes guys. And before you say it another challenge i am stuck for a product one. Ah well lets see if we can have a bit of Playgirl fun............... .............. 1. ITV or BBC? Well, do I have to choose because to be quite honest neither. But if forced I do watch Eastenders. But the BBC being a license paid channel bugs me. They really could put more on for the money you part with. 2. Sunny or Rainy? Sunny days for lazing in the park and soaking up the sun with a nice fella. But i love walking in the rain feels fabulous especially after hot weather. 3. Cat or Dog? I would say a dog although cats have far more interlecte. Cats are very unsociable creatures. Dogs although dumber are far more likely to give you attention at the end of a hard day. Not turn up fill up and bog off. 4. Cod or Haddock? Well, giving that Cod is over fished and in smaller numbers these days i would say Haddock. I love smoked Haddock in a home-made fishpie yum. As for Cod it is worth it but so expensive and Hake or monkfish are good alternatives. Love all fish though could eat it everyday. 5. Hot-dog or Hamburger? I hate hamburgers they are awful haven't eaten one for years. So a large Hot-dog with onions and mustard. Ooh i could eat one now. Mcdonalds put me off Hamburgers yuk they are so ...

Poems of Sadness 16/04/2006

Angel Lara's birthday poetry............

Poems of Sadness An Angel Angel memories this day, beautiful soul taken away. Our thought and minds are with you now forever with you. Angel wings they take you far, away from me in some other time. I dreamt of you and your angel face, a smile from you would be ace. Beautiful Lara on this day tears will flow because you went away. We miss you so my angel girl, where you are now know one knows. On this day your birthday i remember how I prayed and wished. Just to see you ok, to grow and smile. I know you can flow through my soul today you haven't just ebbed away. Soulful angel girl may your spirit be free, Me your mummy wants peace for you so your free. With beautiful wings and an innocent smile taken to the light, we will no longer fight. You are loved forever little angel, always in my heart. with silent tears, and memories we are never apart. ...

Member Advice on Bereavement 06/04/2006

With Angel wings She Flew Away...................

Member Advice on Bereavement I felt it was time I wrote about my experiences with death and how I myself have and are coping now. The reason i decided to do it now is on the 16th of this month my daughter has been gone 7 years. My sister this year in october will have also been gone 7 years. I lost them both within 6 months of each other, I hope to see things differently myself and hopefully help others coping with the immense pain death brings. We are now casting our minds back to April 1999. After several miscarriages I finally had become pregnant again. My pregnancy was plagued with problems from the start but it never occurred really that something bad was going to happen. During my screening tests for spinal bifida which i might add I always have had done. They went through the usual why to test, etc. I signed the form and had it done. Went away and for the next week totally forgot about it. However after a rushed and panicked call from the midwife this was set to change. My test results had come back showing spinal bifida to be above the action limit. This was by all means not good and was told i had to be at the hospital for a scan the following morning. The following morning I was first taken in to see a consultant who claimed that spinal bifida was likely and most probably be really severe. He suggested even before the scan that we start to think of termination. How could i do that in shock and dazed I went in for the scan. The consultant came in had a nose looking for any signs of a gap ...
