Christian Dior Diorshow Mascara 13/03/2012

Dior show is great

Christian Dior Diorshow Mascara I love buying make up and have built up a big collection of it over the years, you may know this already if you've ever read any of my reviews before, as most of them are about make up and beauty products.Well anyway one thing I really love is finding a good deal on make up or finding a bargain. I love eBay for this! I was on eBay one day and saw this mascara for sale. It was much cheaper than it would normally cost in the shops. It was about £10 when if you were to go for Debenhams for this it would cost you about £20, double the price!I checked the product was OK and it seemed trustworthy enough, it was a buy it now, brand new item, and more had been sold and so far everyone else had left positive feedback. So I trusted it to be genuine. Anyway I think eBay takes products off if they aren't genuine. So I didn't have any doubts about whether it would be the real thing or not.I have read on lots of different make up websites that this mascara is one of the best out there. I had actually thought about buying it before, but had always been put off by how expensive it normally is. So now that I had seen it at such a cut price I decided I would try it. I don't think I have tried many products from this brand before. But like most people I have of course already heard of Dior, and know it to be a luxury designer brand. So I felt very special having this luxury product in my make up bag! I don't think I would be able to afford anything else from this brand so can't really compare ...

Avon Outspoken by Fergie Eau de Toilette 16/02/2012

Speaking out about a perfume I love!

Avon Outspoken by Fergie Eau de Toilette I bought this perfume one day from Avon. I used to be a representative - until I moved areas - and I bought this perfume while I was still a representative so I saved a bit of money. I used to love being a rep so I wish I still was one but we already have one in the area and some of my friends are reps too so there doesn't seem much point in me being one as well. At least I can still buy the products I love fom my friends. I've put as a disadvantage that this perfume is hard to get hold of. That's because in some areas where there aren't as many representatives it can be hard to know where to buy from. You could buy online but then it would be more expensive as you would then also have to pay the delivery costs.I'm not a huge fan of the Black Eyed Peas. I used to like their music but I'm not really big on their new albums and I'm not a huge fan of Fergie's style either. However I did like the look of this perfume because I love the colour purple, I liked the look of the bottle and overall it just really caught my eye in the brochure and made me want to buy it. So I did!The bottle is gorgeous. It is shown in the image above. Some of the perfumes from Avon come in really boring, plain bottles but this one is quite a nice one in my opinion. I always like a nice looking perfume bottle its always a plus. The bottle contains 50ml so is a medium sized bottle.I suppose you could say I took a bit of a risk buying this perfume as I had never smelt the fragrance before and had no idea ...

Boots Extracts Fairtrade Nectarine Body Butter 25/01/2012

Nice Body Butter But Not For Me

Boots Extracts Fairtrade Nectarine Body Butter I love body butters and over the years have built up quite a collection! I have been given loads as presents for christmas and for birthdays, and I have also treated myself to some new ones now and again. Even when I'm skint if I see a good offer on in the body shop or Boots I just can't resist buying something! This would have cost me just under £8 if I bought it myself, but I recieved it as a present for Christmas last year. It is from Boots. I'm glad I didn't pay for this myself as I'm not too keen on the fragrance. I don't normally tend to be as keen on the fruity type fragrances. The ones I do like are the coconuts, the shea nuts and the cocoa butter fragrances. The butter itself is lovely and creamy and feels so soft. It has a lovely silky texture. It absorbs fairly quickly into the skin so you don't have to stand around for ages waiting for it to dry which is always a good thing. After it has absorbed into the skin, my skin is left feeling really soft and smooth, its really lovely. Its true what it says on it, it really did seem to hydrate my skin and it definitely moisturises my whole body very well. It works well. It isn't as rich as some body butters but this isn't necessarily a bad thing as it still leaves your skin feeling lovely. But the thing I don't like about this is the fragrance. 'Necatrine'. I like eating nectarines and I like the smell of a nice juicy necatarine. But this doesn't mean that I like smelling like a nectarine. It seems a strange thing to smell ...

The Sanctuary Body Butter 20/01/2012

Body Butter

The Sanctuary Body Butter I received this body butter for christmas. It came as part of a set of Sanctuary products. I don't remember trying any of the products from this range before, but since christmas I've been using loads of them and really like them. To buy on their own they are a bit expensive, so I'm making the most of the fact I got them for free! I really like the fact these products say on them 'against animal testing'. Like all the products in this range this body butter comes a transparent tub with an orange lid. The colours are simple but I like it because it looks bright and I think the fact that it is simple works in its favour. The tub looks white but its actually transparent. The body butter itself is white. There is 100ml in the tub that I have. I predict this tub to last me about a month if I don't use it everyday. The main ingredients in this body butter are cocoa butter, shea butter and macademia nut oil. I love all these ingredients and the fact they are all together in the same product means I love this product three times as much! It also contains sweet almond oil. It smells lovely becuase you get hints of fragrance from all these ingredients. The smell is quite long lasting as well. Its subtle and not overpowering. It is so simple to use this body butter, you just massage it into your skin after you have had a bath or shower. It doesn't take long to absorb whatsoever and you can get dressed nearly straight away after putting it on (I hate having to stand around waiting for ...

Barry M Instant Nail Effects 15/01/2012

Love this nail effect stuffI

Barry M Instant Nail Effects This is probably the most exciting nail polish I've ever had. It is really unique and definitely different to any other nail polish I have ever worn before. It creates a really cool, crackly effect on your nails and the best part is that it does this without any effort on your behalf. All you have to do is paint it on, and let the magic happen! This came out as a brand new product about two years ago and ever since we found out about it me and all my friends have been hooked! I've already gone through two bottles in the last two years.I can't believe I have never reviewed this before, I thought I had already written something on it. The polish comes from Barry M which you may know as a brand of exciting, bright colours which is marketed towards teens. However I don't see any reason why some adults won't be just as amazed as I was by this fantastic concept of a nail product.Basically what you do is apply a base coat. This can be any nail colour you want. Although probably not a dark colour as you want this to show up (this is black by the way). After you have applied your base coat and waited for it to dry, just brush on one stroke of this to each nail. If you think it looks too thin you can put on another coat and it works just the same. Although I probably wouldn't put on too many coats otherwise you might just end up with messy looking black gunk on your nails. When you have applied this just wait a few seconds for the magic to happen. You will see the polish separating away ...

Good Faeries/Bad Faeries - Brian Froud 04/11/2011

Good Faeries/Bad Faeries - Brian Froud Brian Froud is a fantasy artist who draws all kinds of mythical creatures but mostly he creates these wonderful, magical looking creatures called faeries. I first found out about Brian Froud through school when we were looking at fantasy art in our art lessons. I have always loved fantasy and unusual, magical things like faeries so was drawn to this book straight away. The book has got two sides to it. When you flip it over, there is no back cover but instead there is a front cover on both sides, each leading to a different part of the book. One side is "good faeries" and the other side is "bad faeries", my personal favourite side is the one with the bad faeries in it, but the other side is just as interesting and enchanting. On both sides there are loads of amazing drawings of these beautiful faeries which you could spend ages looking at. They are mostly very unusual and unique looking but they are still fascinating to look at. The book starts with a short piece of writing by Froud about his work and how he feels about faeries. He seems to be absolutely in love with this fantasy world of faeries and seems to believe he is a part of it. I think he believes it is real and that the faeries talk to him! His enthusiasm about his work is contagious, however, and you can't help being captivated by this book and you just have to stop to admire his work. After these few pages of writing the book is mainly made up of pictures of his art. There is a commentary on all of it though, ...

Peter Pan (2003) 27/10/2011

peace at last

Peter Pan (2003) Recently while babysitting for two young girls, one being seven and the other one four, it was raining outside and I needed to find something they could do to keep them busy. They'd already been drawing that day and w e'd been playing games all morning so now Ew decided to put on some telly. I was worried there wouldn't't be anything on that was capable of holding their attention for longer than five minutes. They have very short attention spans. but luckily I saw that peter pan was on sky movies and i knew already that they liked the story. Jason isaacs is the biggest star in this, he plays captain hook. You may know him from the harry potter films in which he plays lucius malfoy, draco malfoys dad. he plays the baddy really well in both films. I think he does a great job as hook, and i could tell by the kids' faces they were scared of him! The film is full of action and something exciting happens every couple of minutes. There is a big sword fight on the ship towards the end of the film which is between hook and peter pan. The kids eyes were huge at this point as they were scared abiyt the fate of their beloved favourite character pan. They also lived tinkerbell. I dont know who played hr but I thought she was quite good. The only star I recognised wad jasin isaacs. Most of the other characters were children. Although I wouldn't personally chose to watch this again on my own, I'm sure the kids would and as it kept them quiet I would put it on for them again and sit with ...

R. in R&B Collection, Vol. 1 - R. Kelly 15/10/2011

He's the King Of R&B

R. in R&B Collection, Vol. 1 - R. Kelly There isn't really one particular genre of music that I like, I'm into all kinds of different music genres. My favourite artist of all time is definitely Michael Jackson. After all he is the King Of Pop! But I'm also a massive fan of the King Of R&B, Mr R Kelly. Robert Kelly was born on the 8th January, 1967, on the south side of Chicago, Illinois. He is a world famous and extremely successful R&B singer-songwriter, arranger, performer and record producer. He first began performing during the late 1980s and debuted in 1992 with the group Public Announcement. He first went solo in 1993 with his debut album '12 Play'. Perhaps his most famous songs are 'I Believe I Can Fly', 'World's Greatest', 'Bump and Grind' and 'Ignition (Remix)'. In 1998, he won three Grammy Awards for "I Believe I Can Fly". He has also written songs for other huge artists including Michael Jackson. He wrote the brilliant 'You Are Not Alone' which was a huge hit for Michael Jackson back in the 90s. I bought this album from amazon where it only cost me just under £4, I was thrilled to get such a bargain. I would have happily paid more for this because it really is one of the best albums I own. There are two discs that come with this and the tracklisting on these are as follows: Disc 1: 1. Ignition - Remix 2. Your Body's Calling 3. I Believe I Can Fly 4. If I Could Turn Back The Hands of Time 5. Bump n' Grind 6. She's Got That Vibe 7. Thank God It's Friday 8. Gotham City 9. The World's Greatest 10. I ...

E45 Dermatological Cream (Dry Skin) 10/10/2011

e45 cream

E45 Dermatological Cream (Dry Skin) ecently I got a skin rash, so I bought some of this in a small tube from Tesco which cost less than £3. The tube was small and came packaged inside a small white cardboard piece of packaging. I had never used this before, as I normally use Sudo Cream, but I was in a rush and couldn't be bothered looking for sudo cream, so I just grabbed this instead. There isn't much difference in the price, and I had heard all good things about this anyway. I've heard that E45 Cream has been clinically proven to treat and soothe dry, itching, flaking, chapped, rough and calloused skin, sunburn and detergent hands. I've heard it is good for rashes so I thought it would be OK. I have heard of people using this as a body moisturiser/body lotion, but I don't think I would use it for this, not because I don't think it would work for this purpose, but because it is designed for more serious dry skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, ichthyosis and certain dry cases of psoriasis. I wouldn't want to use it too much if my skin didn't have a dry skin condition like one of those. For this to work it is recommended you apply it two or three times a day. I followed these guidelines and did so. This did work but it took about five days for the rash to go which was a bit of a pain. Also, when I stopped using this, after one day the rash came back so I had to use it again. This does not feel greasy to use and is gentle to my skin. But it seemed thinner in comparison to sudo cream. Although this did ...

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara 09/10/2011

False Effect, Or Just Falsh Claims????

Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara Max Factor False Lash Effect Fusion Mascara Last year, or maybe it was just earlier in this year, I can't really remember, I bought the Max Factor False Lash Effect Mascara from Boots. It cost me about a tenner which is what you should expect to pay for the average mascara on sale at Boots. I have tried loads of products from Max Factor before and its a brand I've become familiar with and grown to love. I'm a bigger fan of their foundations than their mascaras, although I do like some of their mascaras. Their "false lash effect" mascara was a bit of a disappointment though. I thought that the brush was just too chunky and I found it awkward to use, and the end result from using the mascara always seemed to be a smudgy mess which didn't look very attractive. I bought the fusion mascara simply because it was on eBay for a very low price of just £6. I love trying out new beauty products and I hadn't tried this one yet. Even though I suspected it would be very similar to the false lash effect I couldn't resist buying it to find out for myself. Besides, I argued to myself, at such a small price, it was worth a try. Despite this looking almost identical to the false lash effect mascara, I hoped there would be better. It promises longer lashes as well as bigger volume. The first thing I noticed when I pulled out the wand of this mascara is that the brush is very similar to the brush you get with the false lash effect mascara. I used it and found that it wasn't too bad to use. ...

Beyonce Heat Eau de Parfum 02/10/2011

Feel the heat

Beyonce Heat Eau de Parfum I received this perfume as a present a few months ago. I had seen it advertised almost everywhere but I hadn't read any reviews about it or heard anything about it from friends. So I knew it existed but apart from that I didn't really know what to expect, and didn't have a slightest clue what it was going to smell like. As a celebrity Beyonce is obviously one of the more classier, powerful types of women celebrities out there. I'm not a massive fan but I do like her and I was all for a perfume that made me smell as good as she looks! I was a bit worried though, as I heard a rumour once that she is actually allergic to perfume! I'm not sure if thats true though! The bottle this comes in a red box with black outlined edges as shown in the picture provided by ciao. The bottle is also shown in the picture, which I'm glad about as it would have been hard to describe that shape! I think the bottle design is OK but its not one of my favourite bottle designs. It does really reflect the name of the perfume though which I suppose is good. It isn't easy to spray the perfume with the bottle being that shape though, as you can lose your grip on it quite easily. The fragrance is quite sweet and I would describe it as quite fruity. The top notes are depicted with red vanilla, orchid, magnolia, neroli and peach. The heart notes are honeysuckle, almond and musky cream, while the fragrance finishes with more woody note such as sequoia wood, tonka and amber. I really like the woody notes in ...

H&M Tube Skirt 14/09/2011

H&M Tube Skirt H&M Tube Skirt ... I bought this skirt from H&M a couple of weeks back. I've always liked the style of bodycon and when I saw this at first glance I thought it was OK - but when I saw the EXTREMELY low price tag - just £2.99!! - I suddenly thought it was gorgeous!! It is available in a few different colours. The ones they had out in the H&M store I go to were: navy blue, tan and black and white striped. I bought the navy blue one, as this is the colour I thought would match most of my outfits. It is a versatile colour which looks good with black tights. I can't remember what other colours they had out but I think there were about five different shades altogether. I also liked the black and white striped one, at only £2.99 I am tempted to go back and get it! The material is quite clingy, just like bodycon, it is soft, but as it is tight it shows off your bum so if you have a nice bum and want to show it off in a subtle but sexy way then this might be the skirt for you! As I mentioned the fabric is very soft and feels smooth which makes this a very comfortable skirt to wear. It can be worn on all sorts of occassions, for example I wear this to college quite a lot because it is smart enough for formal occasions but not too smart so that it still looks good and quite fashionable, in my opinion anyway. Basically I like this skirt and after two weeks of having it I would recommend it. It is such a bargain at £2.99 that I feel you can't go wrong with it and its worth buying ...

Lee Stafford My Big Fat Healthy Hair Shampoo 12/09/2011

fat hair

Lee Stafford My Big Fat Healthy Hair Shampoo Recently in Boots I took advantage of a 3 for £12 offer which was on selected Lee Stafford products. I have used Lee Stafford products in the past but hadn't used any in a while. After a while you forget which products you liked and which you didn't so to be honest I couldn't remember if the shampoo products I'd used from the brand before were any good. But I liked the look of this shampoo so I bought it and the matching conditioner, as well as the hair regrowth treatment (which I have used before and I do remember about that one as it is amazing!). On their own they would have been expensive but because of the offer I didn't think they were too bad value for money. I was pleased. The bottle looks great, especially if your girly, as it is pink and white, like all the products from this brand. I think this design is great and like it in the bathroom, some products look dull but this one brightens the room up a bit, I can't really understand why there is a dog in the logo though, maybe I have missed something! This smells fabulous. It is hard to describe as it is quite unique but it definitely is very nice, it has a distinctive fragrance which can be detected on the hair all day long after use. I love it! This is very easily made up into a lather and I like the experience of shampooing with it mostly because of the smell. After using this shampoo for a week I have noticed a difference in my hair which is for the best, as it seems bigger, fuller and fatter which is exactly ...

Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover Extra Strength By Scott Cornwall Hair Expert 10/09/2011

Very happy as was better than expected.

Colour B4 Hair Colour Remover Extra Strength By Scott Cornwall Hair Expert I bought this hair dye from Boots where it cost me £12.25. If you have a Boots card you will also pick up 48 points with this. I think this is a very reasonable price to pay for this product, considering how much they will charge to do the same thing in the hair dressers. I had heard this smelt terrible but I didn't actually think it was that bad, it didn't smell like rotten eggs which is what I had heard from one person! It wasn't particularly lovely, but I found that when I washed my hair with a shampoo and conditioner which did smell really nice, this disguised it a bit. The instructions given in the pack were really simple to follow. You are given some gloves, three pots, which contain the two colour mixers that you mix together to make the actual remover, and the other pot contains colour buffer, which is what you wash your hair with after putting the remover on. The buffer actually smells OK, and it gets rid of any artificial colour pigments that may be left on the hair which means it is fine to dye your hair after using this colour remover. I have been dying my hair for about five years. I am a natural redhead but have dyed it in the past many different colours. It has been black, bright red, dark brown, light brown. I have also highlighted it (this remover won't get rid of colours lighter than your natural hair colour though, it will take your hair to the lightest colour it has ever been). I went to the hair dressers about three or four years ago to get the dye ...

Planet Pit (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Pitbull 19/08/2011

Worth the trip to Planet Pit?

Planet Pit (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Pitbull Pitbull's former singles include "Hotel Room Service", "Bon Bon" and "I Know You Want Me", all songs which have very explicit lyrics and are basically just all about sex. To sum up Pitbull's style, a comment I once saw on one of his music videos on YouTube said "this porn has really good music"!! If you hate this kind of music then just to warn you - you will definitely hate this album! If you like it then this could be for you! But on the plus side, he does have some proper banging tunes which I love!! And after hearing and loving his first two singles from this album, "Give Me Everything" and "Rain Over Me", I had to download the rest of the album. 1. Mr. Worldwide (Intro) - "Let's show them why they call me Mr. Worldwide" 2. Give Me Everything - "Can't promise tomorrow, but I'll promise tonight." This song features NeYo and Neyer. It was number one for a few weeks and was in the charts for ages, in fact I think it is still in the charts despite being released ages ago. Which proves my point that this is a brilliant song. I'm loving this tune as its a proper feel good, party track that gets you in the mood for a good night out. 3. Rain Over Me - This one features the amazing Latin singer Marc Anthony, J-Lo's ex. It was produced by RedOne and has a really fab banging beat that thumps out behind Marc Anthony's fantastic voice, "Girl my body don't lie, I'm outta my mind". Pitbull raps in Spanish as well as English freaky talk. I'm loving the part where he says "teach me ...
