Sennheiser PXC 450 01/04/2008

The beat goes on..

Sennheiser PXC 450 These are the first jumbo sized headphones that I have ever bought. Previously I have had to replace the in-ear headphones every 4 months. This is because I tend to listen to my music at a fairly high level, and after a short time, they begin to produce a hissing sound when the base is high. However with these headphones I have been pleasently suprised. So far the sound quality has not changed. The music heard is incredibly clear, which means to fully appreciate the song you do not need to turn it up too high. Also if you are using these headphones with MP4's and watching movies, is when they really come into there own. They make it easy to get very involved in what your watching. Also because of the soft padding around the ear piece, as well as the angle that they sit around your ears mean that you can wear them for a very long time. Nevertheless there are some draw backs to having these headphones when you have to use them everyday. When you have to pack it up its a pain to make sure that they are not goin to get damaged. Also I dont like having to take a bag out with me, and with these headphones you really have to. Also I was not extremely impressed with the noise reduction. It did work to a certain extent, however I expected it to perform better when I was on the tube. With very loud noises the difference is not worth the money. However it does cut out the annoying sounds that you get every now and then with loud people or ironically, somebody else's ...

Canon PIXMA MP 600R 27/02/2008

Does everything and more!

Canon PIXMA MP 600R This is the best printer that you can get for less than £200. The quality of the prints are very good, and the pictures that it produces are suprisingly good. I must admit that I didn't expect this printer to be the best purchase when I bought it. The slightly complicated process of connecting it to my PC was not encouraging either. However once everything is set up, I was amazed. One of the best things about this printer is the versitility it provides. I have printed pictures wirelessly from my phone, and it was as easy as connecting my camera via the USB cable. The scanner is ver good as well. It does its job quickly and efficiently. As long as your desk provides the space for this printer, it really is a good buy and at a very reasonable price. I have found the manufacturers list of techinical information, I hope it helps you in some way. Features: • Incorporates fast wireless (IEEE802.11g / IEEE802.11b) printing & scanning functions and supports Ethernet • New Easy-Scroll Wheel for instant, intuitive operation allowing easy access to many different functions • Print your photos directly from compatible digital cameras, memory cards or mobile phones • Features a huge 2.5 inch colour TFT screen for viewing images stored on your memory card • 1 picolitre FINE print-head technology results in sharper text and precise image detail • Produce high-definition photos and documents at up to 9600 x 2400 dpi • Print a ...

Canon PowerShot A650 IS 10/11/2007

The Ugly Duckling

Canon PowerShot A650 IS This is the perfect camera for people who just want to turn on take proffesional looking pictures. If you can master the picture setting and manual exposure controls, this camera can produce top quality images. However you would expect this as it is one of the higher end Canon Digital Cameras. The look of the camera is not great to be honest, and they could have done alot better. Its heavy look though matches its actual weight. The camera is very bulky. Nevertheless, depending on the price you might be able to get this camera for, its looks my longer matter. My friend recently bought this camera, and my personal experiences went from bad to suorisingly very good. The more you get used to using this camera and playing with the settings the better the camera gets. One feature that slightly disappointed me about the camera, was the fact that the printing quality fell bellow the screen quality. This is a real draw back, but shoudl only effect the picture minimely, and could be me being picky The full specification of the technical specification of the camera, according to the manufacturers. Samsung Sports Miniket VP-X300L 28/10/2007

Sport enthusiasts look no further!

Samsung Sports Miniket VP-X300L Very easy to learn how use this, even if you are a techniphobe. Once you switch it on, you can have fun straight away. The mini screen is very good, even though objects may appear further. But the best thing you get when you buy this product, is it does not incovenience you. It can be slipped into ur pocket or bag and u will hardly notice. It manages this without the buttons being to fiddly. The waterproof camera is useful but not ver relieble. So you should not depend on it. The quality of the videos and photo are very good, and when compared to other more expensive models stands up well. The battery is good, but could be better, so should be used economically. This is a very good product, as long as you realise that you are paying more for the smaller size. If it is proffesional, top quality pictures, look elsewhere.

JBL Duet 28/10/2007

No frills sound

JBL Duet These speaker are very ease to use, and they product a more than adequate sound. They are also very solid and durable, so you don\'t need to handle them with gloves. Nothing complicated with the controls, as there is only one control for the volume. This mean it comes with no extra that some other speakers have, eg treble, bass controls. It can be plugged into many music devices and your computer. However, if you are like me and hate when wires get tangled, do not buy this product. The cord from the power socket to the main speaker, is not very long. This means that when the cords are tangled, to move the speaker from anywhere near the socket it is plugged into is almost impossible. If your budget allows you to look for wireless speakers, then i would recommend that you dont get this. However, if you are looking for a pair of speakers under £35, these will do the job well.

Apple iPod classic MB150ZO/A 160 GB 6th Generation 27/10/2007

New name, Same product

Apple iPod classic MB150ZO/A 160 GB 6th Generation For someone who has owned many Ipod's, it comes as a relief that Apple have done a good job on the battery life. I suppose they had to stumble upon a decent battery at some point. However it has the usual Ipod teething problems, if suffers from the occasional freeze. On these rare, but exceptionally annoying occasions, you will go through your day music free! This may not effect those of you who don't find music essential during your journey. In the past I have found that ipods tend to last no more than 16 months. I have no had this for that long, but it is holding up well... for an ipod. However for those who are looking for there first MP3/4 player, this is a very good product. It is easy to use, set-up and maintain. Also with i-Tunes new vault of television programmes, this player will keep you interesting. That is if your credit card will allow it. Apple does not like you putting music on from anywhere they don't make money. So this must be seen as a disadvantage of the ipod. overall a good product, at an okay price, but you will paying for the look as much as the features.
