Bedazzled 08/01/2001

A remake the 60s hit British comedy

Bedazzled A remake of the original of the hit 60’s British comedy of the same name. A simple [but good] story that works. A nerd [Branden Fraser] is given 7 wishes by a very “delicious” British accented Devil [Elizabeth Hurley]. As expected each wish comes along with it’s own unexpected “consequences”; that’s where all the fun begins. Great performances by Fraser as EACH different character, and Hurley’s out fits were just too tempting, very Yummy! But this movie had one MAJOR FLAW. All the humour depended COMPLETELY on Fraser and Hurley. This is a fact; a good comedy needs to have a good “supporting cast”. It was entertaining but only a few jokes worked, the rest didn’t have any “punch”. But nevertheless it’s a good watch!

yahoo.co.uk 06/09/2000

Yahoo is My Favourite search engine, Because....

yahoo.co.uk Over the Years Yahoo.uk has become a house hold name... I have tyied many search engines... goog and bad, but Yahoo remains my favourite since the Yahoo searches are to the point, and the number of dead links are quite scarce. Since the web pages/sites found are matched to the closest match, and because of rejecting unnecessary sites, Yahoo seems to be much faster, I would say Yahoo is more user friendly to an average or new user. Another facinating option is the yahoo advanced search option... you could find a site by date e.g last 1 week/3weeks/1month/1year to make your searches more accurate and saves you from going from page to page to find the site of your choice. Other Yahoo options include Yahoo mail/ messenger/ chat/ Auctions etc.

altavista.com 06/09/2000

Altavista is a very complex search engine, but just might not cater for the average user....

altavista.com When you do a search on Altavista, you might get thousands of results, depending on the search, But i have found that some of the links tun out to be dead links.... and some Miss guide you and some Links are repeated over and over... Therefore to find the ideal site of your choice may take some patience and time... But the Options on the Altavista Search engine is quite superior... the Advanced search options are efficient, and you can do a search By Image,MPGs etc... Also the Search engine will rearange the words that you have typed on the search panel, giving better 'Search by' options. For eg. If the search is for "Cats" the search by option could change to "Feline","Kittens","Theater" etc...

Indiana Jones - The Temple Of Doom 31/08/2000

The worlds most famouse Adventurer, faces the mystries of India...

Indiana Jones - The Temple Of Doom This time Dr. Jones lands in India (Though scenes were originally filmed in SriLanka), After an Action air scene...Opposite Dr.Jones (Harrison Ford) stars the Actress Cathleen Kinmont Who later got married to Steven Spielberg(Director of Indiana Jones trialogy),. Dr.Jones is away from the Nazis in this sequel to Raiders of the lost Arc, Helps a poor Indian Village for a change, to retrieve the stone of Shiva, which was stollen by an evil witch doctor to use it for evil deeds. Part of the story takes place in the Indian Jungle, Where elephants and snakes get to greet Dr.Jones... The Movie Just like the previous Indiana Jones movie keeps you on your toes... every minute of that movie is so exiting, you will even forget to take the pop corn out of the oven...

Indiana Jones - Raiders Of The Lost Ark 31/08/2000

The making of the most famouse Adventurer in the cinema world.

Indiana Jones - Raiders Of The Lost Ark Steven Spielberg Directs the movie, while George Lucas created the character,. a minute after the story begins, we could see adventure in the making in the rain forest of a mayan jungle, Where Indiana Jones(Archiologist Played by Harrison Ford) goes on a treasure hunt for a gold statue of a gold Inca, the way the caves are boobie Trapped keeps you at the edge of the Seats... You can hardly take a breather... This movie is full of Action Adventure and a degree of Suspition,. The Choice of Harrison Ford is definitely the Best choice I cannot think of any other actor who could have played that part better... The film too has a sence of humour, that only Harrison Ford could portray... When the film Advances Dr.Jones is after the Arc that was made during the days of Moses, He is competing with the Nazi world war officers who are planning on using the arcs power, to work as their personal gain... This movie potraits a somewhat amount of biblical knowledge.. This Movie has to be one of the All time classics...

Gulf Air - GFA 31/08/2000

I have flown on Gulf Air twice, and I have to say that i dont have any complains, Except the fact that you have to book early...

Gulf Air - GFA I have flown twice in Gulf Air (First class), I have to say i enjoyed the flight, you can sleep like a baby for those seats are so comfy, and Adjusts Automatically, I loved the in flight Movie selection they have some were pretty new too,. I was watching one after another,... and if that is not enough you could watch a video of your choice... The Food was served 3 course they have the most un-believable french croisants... and you get a fruit basket, Filled with your favourite fruit... The Air Attendants were very friendly and helpful,.. This is what the First class is like so i guess they have to make a good impression after all they are the most expensive seats... Well if you ask me about economy class i would not know what to say... But first class is definitely memorable.

Gillette Pacific Light Aftershave 31/08/2000

The feel of Coolness the Feel of a new Face...

Gillette Pacific Light Aftershave I normally use Quality designer AfterShaves thinking quality comes with a price, I got Gillette "Pacific Light" after shave as a gift, I have used Gillette before, I have used "cool wave" never liked it much,. One day i happen to run out of Aftershave and I had no choice but to use the gift i got... I first took a sniff it had a light fresh fragrance that didn't get your eyes teary, So i splashed some of that cool Aftershave on my palms, Rubbed against each other and applied on my face... I never Expected it to be so effective, The coolness of the after shave just sank in my face leaving the feeling of freshness, Its almost like wearing a new face....,It gave the same or better effect than some of the designer aftershaves i have used... After that day onwards "Pacific Light" was my shaving partner, and is going to remain that way for a while...

Older - George Michael 31/08/2000

Some more Soothing Mind Provoking Stuff from George Michael, I personally think this Album is one of the most Original Albums I ever heard, This Albums going to be in my favourites list for a very long time...

Older - George Michael This is the comeback Album of George Michael, which didn't do very well for him, even though he was successful in getting two singles at No.1 in the U.K Charts, a beautiful ballad titled 'Jesus to a child' and a funky dance hit 'Fastlove'. One could say this album is quite "down beat", if not for the 'Fastlove' track, all the others including 'Spinning the Wheel'(U.K No.2 hit) and 'Older'(U.K No.3) which are soothing tracks that could take you to George Michael wold once again.portray some sort of betrayal. This album was written and produced by George Michael, Under the Aegean record label. I would say this is a good slow poetic album. A song that brought a tear to my eye is the song called 'You have been loved' which has the lines "for what's the use in pressing palms/ when children fade in mother's arms/ it's a cruel world we've so much to lose/ and what we have to learn, we rarely choose…./" But I thought this album was for the broken hearted, It has so much meaning and it also tells you to 'Move On'…

Emirates Airlines - UAE 31/08/2000

I travel quite frequently on Emirates Airlines and the flight was definitely a pleasent one, but these are the some of the events that i observed inside the flight..

Emirates Airlines - UAE Well since i am a frequent traveler, I happen to take Emirates since they are well marketed, and i cannot complain about the accomadation since it was really good... I take the economy class since most of my flights are short ones and also to save money, Most of the Air hostesses i met were always smilling and offers to give you a helping hand, But I regret not telling the same about the most of the male flight Stuards/Attendants I happen to meet... One Indian(i think) gent was sitiing next to me, he was always smiling and pleasent, as the stuard was passing by he wanted a cup of tea, But the stuard ignored him but since the Stuard was serving coffee, i thought, Okay maybe he heard it and will bring the tea the next round...., And the next round happen to go by serving tea, and to see the passengers cup happen to be empty, Thats when i realized this Flight attendent is ignoring the passenger next to me... The passenger next to me was a timid gentle man who showed reluctance to go out of his way and complain, So the next round the Attendant was passing by without even looking at the passenger next to me... I happen to Snap, I got up from the seat and said "Look here this man ordered a cup of tea hours ago, and his cup is still empty, you just passed by him with the tea pot... Whats the matter with you is this the service you provide?" the Attendant felt every body looking at him, and Silently walked away... When we reached our destination the same Attendant was ...

Warcraft 2 (PC) 31/08/2000

This game could be described as one of the grandads of strategy games of the past century, The same basic strategy game rules apply, The story takes place in the mideval times...continuing saga of Azeroth,

Warcraft 2 (PC) I started playing Warcraft II quite late, actually this year(2000) to be precise, Well after playing the advanced versions of strategy games I found Warcraft a bit 'Out of the past century', But i have to admit that i didnt rest till i ended the game... The game doesn't exactly lack scope... It has a Story to build the game, as the continuation of Warcraft I, Tides of Darkness takes the continuing saga of Azeroth to the next level as the battle between the Orc and Human civilizations rages on over land, sea, and air. I found the game a bit Simplistic... I chose the Humans(since they look like the good guys), the levels dont get difficult at all till the last levels...and the objective of each level is almost the same...But i guess i cant complain this game was made quite along time ago and was a hit then... So it is quite unfair to say the things above since I played a game of the past century...

Joshua Tree - U2 30/08/2000

After hearing 'Josua Tree' each time you think of U2, the tune in your head will be from Joshua Tree...

Joshua Tree - U2 Joshua Tree is definitely one of U2s best, but definitely is by far the most popular, The Album Includes the Hits that made U2 where they are today, and helped them to go far in the American market...by going platinum as almost soon as it was released.... The Hits Include 'Where the Streets have no name','Still havent found what I'm looking for' and 'With or without you'... Along with Super beautiful traks such as 'God's country','Red Hill Mountain' overall I loved all the traks, The Lead singer 'Bono Vox' is amaizing... and the when you hear the backing guitars it will send shivers down your spine... If you dont have Joshua Tree on your CD rack then you are definitly missing something....

Dark Reign (PC) 30/08/2000

Dark reign is definitely an addictive game, It has the know-how of earlier strategy games, and also have additional features that makes the game out of this world....

Dark Reign (PC) I am basically a stratergy game freak, After putting an end to 'War Craft','War Craft II','Command and conquer','Red Alert' and 'Tiberian Sun' i went for DarkReign... the game comes with a booklet which not only gives information about the game but also has a form of philosophy of the Torgas(you will know who they are when you get the game)... The Battle is between 'Imperium' (they seem like the bad guys, with sophisticated machinary and weapons and Dark structures) and 'Freedom Guard'(Who are fighting as Rebels, to the good of the Torgas )... The choice of weapons are amaizing for instance there is a weapon called the 'Shredder' that could shred through Armies of Infantry in seconds... and of course the 'Shock Wave' which could create a form of an earth quake that could destroy anything in its way... As additional features you could perform formation moves, mark paths create tactical teams etc.. You will find Graphics appealing... You could choose to be Freedom Guard or Imperial, but in the final level you are in for a surprice... you are up against both teams... Dont miss out on this one...

Pop - U2 30/08/2000

A new step by Bono and the clan, This Album is definitely a cut away from their other Albums...

Pop - U2 When I first heard the Song 'Discotheque' which hit No.1 (UK Charts) I knew i am going to but this album. I could go on and on about this song, it definitely is a masterpiece... The Album 'POP' I would decribe it as U2's answer to a 90's album, It has a Techno beat in some of the songs like 'Mother sucking rock and roll', and definitely is different to their usual sound. Overall i think this album is a master piece, and is sure to die slowly... The songs that will keep you listening to it over and over are 'Staring at the sun','Wake up deadman','Please' and 'the last night on earth'...

Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1 - George Michael 25/08/2000

The second step of Michaels phenominal success..

Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1 - George Michael The Listen Without Prejudice, is one of George Michaels final works before being under court order not to record songs for a period of 7 years. This album how ever includes lyrics that are quite deep... like in the song 'Praying for time' there is a verse that goes as "the rich declair the poor/ the most of us are not sure/ have we had too much but we'll take our chances/ Cause God stopped keeping score../ I guess somewhere along the way/ he must have set us all out to play../ Turned his back and all Gods children crept out the back door...." Which hits you quite hard when you listen to the single... Also includes danceable hits such as 'Freedom 90' and 'Soul Free' Over all it is a good album...

Faith - George Michael 25/08/2000

The Grammy Award winning Album that gave George Michael the boost, for his solo career...!

Faith - George Michael The Album "Faith" is quite old, somewhere between the late eighties and the early nineties, This album won the Grammy for the Best Album. Though it is an old album it has a number of classic songs such as 'Kissing a fool','One more try','Father figure' and of course 'Faith' which could take you way back to the early nineties,. it also has the controvertial dance hit 'I want your sex', These songs actually portrait the vocal variety and the energy George Michael contributed towards the album. This is a must have for classics of last century rack.
