Bedroom completion delayed by delivery & QC issues

MFI (Shop) We decided to have a fitted bedroom from MFI, after looking at several other high street stores and retailers. We based our decision on price, range and quality. Although we could not fault the store at all, they were helpful, knowledgeable and courteous. The after care service we received from MFI head office and customer services left us feeling, let down and dejected. Our main issues are: • Missing carcass from delivery. This held up fitting • No prior warning that carcass would not be delivered until we were informed by the delivery driver. • MFI would not bend over getting the carcass delivered quicker than 48 hours. • MFI customer services, made use feel that once they had your money, that was it. • Second carcass in delivery was damp damaged, which had not been check prior to dispatch. • Fitting was again held up by the delay in getting the replacement damp damaged carcass to us. • No one at supplier or delivery depot checked order was complete or damage free before dispatch. • 90% of the phone calls were made by us, with having to chase for updates from MFI. • MFI customer services played ‘piggy in the middle’ with us, between themselves and the store. Conclusion of our experience with MFI The bedroom was completed three days later than planned. We had to book extra leave from work to allow the fitter to complete and MFI to make additional deliveries. We did get a £200 ‘good will gesture’ from MFI, but only after putting our complaint in ...
