Resistance - Muse 18/03/2013

Muse- The Resistance...Marvelous!

Resistance - Muse I love Muse and there is no doubt that this is one of their best albums. I have been a die hard fan since the first album and i can say i have grown with them. Their evolving sound and intense lyrics always deliver and this is one stunning album. The music is more grown up, inspiring, impressive and electronic. The guitar solos will give you chills and the lyrics will have you thinking and some of them will instill power and raging emotions of well..resistance or more likely sticking it to the man! I will review the album track by track in an attempt to depict all my emotions for this groundbreaking work. 1. Uprising As the name suggests, this is an uprising. Bellamy's inspiring "They will stop degrading us," .."We will be victorious." will definitely have you feeling his every word and waiting for more especially with the handclaps in the back making it seem like the band has their own army. The music is marvelous, symphonic keyboards and anthemic drums with a guitar solo from heaven! One of the best tracks on the album. 2. Resistance The songs starts with an instrumental where you can hear what seems like a helicopter and sounds of war until the keyboard kicks in harmonically and the drums follow in a fast beat with a constant eerie chanting voice in the background. Mathew's vocals on this one is very much like the bands' previous work "Love is our resistance/They'll keep us apart and they won't stop breaking us down." Love will conquer all in Bellamy's opinion. The ...

Mylo Xyloto - Coldplay 17/03/2013

Coldplay- Mylo Xyloto, have an open mind!

Mylo Xyloto - Coldplay This is definitely an album not like the rest. If you're already a Coldplay fan then you might appreciate the fact that they are trying to mix up their genre a bit, i know i do! Mylo Xyloto has it's fair share of haters but you need to look beyond to admire the work. Needless to say, i am a huge fan and got this album as soon as it was out. At first i did not know how to react. this is not your usual Coldplay album but in a way they set us up for it. You can clearly see the changes over the years and this one is, if there is one way of putting it, experimental. Here is my track list review maybe it will make everything a bit clearer. 1. Mylo Xyloto - This is a 43 sec instrumental that kind of eases you into the whole album and glides you into the first song. 2. Hurts Like Heaven - The band this song is all Jonny (the guitarist) "It only has two chords. The songs are group-y, it's guitar-y. Jonny is coming out of his cocoon. We're just trying some risky things." And for me at least, the risk is working, the song is great and the guitar is astounding on it! definitely one of my faves on the album. 3. Paradise - This track is great! the music is enchanting and magical to say the least. The beat is strong but not overwhelming and the strings just seems to complement it perfectly. The Chris starts singing and you know for sure this is Coldplay that we have all known and loved. Prepare to sway on this one! 4. Charlie Brown - Best track on the album in my opinion. The ...

OK Computer - Radiohead 15/03/2013

Radiohead OK Computer- A CLASSIC!!

OK Computer - Radiohead It's very hard if you're an alternative rock fan to miss out listening to any Radiohead album especially OK Computer. It's simply a must have! Their strangeness and Thom's voice will have you pondering on all kinds of thoughts. It's definitely one of my favorite albums ever and i have decided to share my love and reviewing each song on it's own so here goes: 1. Airbag- The song starts with a guitar riff which is played all throughout. The music is simple yet catchy and of course the lyrics will have you thinking since Thom said it is supposed to reflect how you've just missed having a car accident and realize how close it was to feel the incredible emotion of still being alive. 2. Paranoid Android- EPIC! you can't not love this song. It just transports you from one place to another, music and singing wise. It changes so much and finishes off perfectly. I never get tired of this one! 3. Subterranean Homesick Alien- A more laid back song. It's very relaxing and soothing. The title is a reference to the Bob Dylan song "Subterranean Homesick Blues", and the science fiction-inspired song describes an isolated narrator who fantasises about being abducted by extraterrestrials. It was all actually inspired by a school assignment from when Thom was still studying. 4. Exit music (for a film)- This song dazzles from the start. Even though the beginning is simple acoustic guitar strumming, it just has you waiting for more and then you get the miserable and painful emotions that ...

Parachutes - Coldplay 14/03/2013

Coldplay Parachutes,

Parachutes - Coldplay You are bound to have heard a Coldplay song these past few years at least once and why not, the band is quite amazing and their songs suit all! The debut album, Parachutes, is very Brit pop and once you listen o it you directly get the feel of their influences mainly U2 and some soulful Dave Mathews. Each song on the album has you experiencing a different emotion, happy, sad, confused, romantic, skeptical...i can go on forever so instead of that i have chosen to review each song at a time: 1) Don't Panic "We live in a beautiful word, yeah we do, yeah we do." This simple yet genius song is very harmonic and just outstanding. You will be singing along in no time. The guitar riff is catchy, Chris Martin's voice is sweet and onwards in the song you will hear a melodic piano which accents the song's overall beauty. Excellent song, will leave you smiling! 2) Shiver This song is much different than the previous Don't Panic. It is quite upbeat and starts with some upbeat drums and has you excited a little. Then Chris's voice starts with a sad but melodic " So i look in your direction but you pay me no attention.." you can't help but feel sorry for the guy but at the same time you can relate. We've all been there, the song keeps going at pretty much the same rate and at the end comes to a climatic wild end which is sure to make you feel the poor guy's anger and emotions. One of my favorite Coldplay songs ever! 3) Spies As the name suggests, the song is quite haunting. It starts ...

Paco Rabanne Lady Million Eau de Parfum 14/03/2013

Lady Million Paco Rabanne

Paco Rabanne Lady Million Eau de Parfum This perfume is amazing! i honestly did not want to get it until my sister's boyfriend got it for her on Valentines and i fell in love with it.The scent is so "Paco Rabanne", unique, sexy and cool. You can wear it summer, winter, spring or fall, there is no season for it which i love. It is not light and breezy but at the same time not heavy. Smells like a mix of flowers and fruits (oranges mainly). I saw the ad for it one day and i was dancing without even knowing it and ran towards the TV as i was in another room. It caught my eye and i knew i had to try it but somehow it slipped my mind until my sister got it that is! My husband loves it on me and cannot imagine me without it now, between us i think he will get me one for our anniversary next month. I would definitely recommend getting it as a gift or for yourself, it will not disappoint. I got the 50ML one which was the only one available at my local fragrances shop and it was for around 80$ which is not exactly cheap but still i'd buy it again for sure.

Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Creme 13/03/2013

Nivea Soft moisturizer cream very good and cheap

Nivea Soft Intensive Moisturising Creme I am a sucker for Nivea, i love the fact that they have this broad range of products. Any and everything related to beauty Nivea will have a solution for it and best of all it is extremely affordable. You don't have to worry about buying an expensive product for show off or buying a cheap one and getting all the risks along with it. I say when in doubt buy Nivea. I have been using this awesome product for more than 5 years now. I started out with the dark blue famous and extremely cheap one but noticed it was not so great on my face so i found this one out. I but the small jug and it lasts me a long time and i use it around twice a day on my face and hands. It smells good, moisturizes and makes your skin baby smooth. I have never had any allergic reactions from it even though i am known for my sensitive skin and it completely removed the scabs on the sides of my nose. I say go for it for sure!
