Black Hawk Down (Blu-Ray) 03/08/2007

Fantastic move, Blu-ray is the icing on the cake

Black Hawk Down (Blu-Ray) This is a fantastic movie, period. It combines war stories of true american heroes with some of the best action sequences to make a truly magnificent film. It was written through reading the Memos of one of the main characters, so this is one of the more accurate war movies of our time. The Blu-ray aspect truly does add the edge to this already brilliant movie, and although blu-ray players are expensive...after watching a movie like this on a blu-ray disc, you can see why. I have seen this movie break fully grown men almost to tears and fully engross practically everyone who has watched it, including me. I had seen it a fair few times before buying it on blu-ray, but it still never gets old.

The Shawshank Redemption: Original Soundtrack 03/08/2007

The Shawshank Redemption:Original Soundtrack

The Shawshank Redemption: Original Soundtrack Some of the songs on this CD really bring back memories of some of the more moving section in the film, most notably "Duettino - Sull'Aria". This would be a great CD for anyone who enjoyed the film to any sort of extensive degree. The CD contains both original music composed for the film and famous songs by the Inkspots, Hank Williams and the aformentioned Sull'aria (from "The Marriage of Figaro") stung together in order they are heard throughout the film. I think this really adds to the feeling of the CD, when you listen to it all the way through it really is reminicent of the first time you watched The Shawshank Redemption, and this (presumably for anyone wanting to buy it) is a very good thing :D ...

Resident Evil 4 (PS2) 02/08/2007

Resident Evil 4 (PS2)

Resident Evil 4 (PS2) After having played the PS2, Gamecube, and Wii versions of this game, I can safely say this is the lesser of the three, this is not to mean it isn't a fantastic game, but It DOES lack the intuitive controls of the Wii version and the enhanced lighting effects that come with the GC version. As a game, it's fantastic, one of my favourite of all time, it's as engrossing and scary as some of the best horror movies. It kept me involved for a considerable length of time. But sadly, when compared to the Gamecube and Wii versions, the smal differences make this version not as worth buying. If you own a PS2 and only a PS2, buy this. but if you have ether Gamecube or Wii, I strongly advise you get it on one of those platforms.
