Lush Tea Tree Water 02/04/2011

Lush Tea Tea Water- Simple, but it works!

Lush Tea Tree Water Lush Tea Tree water is an all-natural, handmade, vegan toner designed for oily and troubled skin. ABOUT THE PRODUCT the website states: Ah, tea tree: how do we love thee? Tea tree is extremely soothing and can work wonders on troubled or oily skin. We've also added juniper berry and grapefruit waters to refresh and gently tone with natural oils. Use this throughout the day to help tackle blemishes and lift your spirits. PRICE £3.45//100g £6.75//250g It's not expensive, but not cheap. I would say it's quite a reasonable price for the results it produces. PACKAGING I love the packaging. It is very simple and recognizable as a Lush product. The spray top is convenient and sturdy, and good for spritzing onto a cotton pad. MY EXPERIENCE I have oily, acne prone skin and large pores. I spritz this toner onto a cotton pad and wipe over my face after cleansing. My immediate thought was how refreshing and light it felt on my face. It doesn't sting or irritate, and it feels as if you've just wiped cool water over your face. The smell is non-offensive and light. But will it work? Well, I've used this for a few months and I have found it reduces oil on my face, unclogs and shrinks pores, and refreshes and revitalizes my face. It also helps to calm down active acne. This is due to the grapefruit and tea tree extract. Not quite a miracle worker, but it does help! INGREDIENTS&SHELF LIFE None of the ingredients have been tested on animals. Tea Tree Water (Melaleuca alternifolia), ...

Rimmel London Natural Bronzing Powder 02/04/2011

Rimmel's Natural Bronzing Powder- Sunkissed glow for the Summer

Rimmel London Natural Bronzing Powder Rimmel's Natural Bronzer is a powder bronzer with minimal shimmer. It contains natural minerals and has a SPF of 8. ABOUT THE PRODUCT The website states: NATURAL LOOK BRONZING POWDER FOR A HEALTHY TANNED LOOK ALL YEAR LONG For a healthy tanned look whatever the weather. This light, natural looking bronzing powder combines colour and protection with SPF8. Hello Sunshine! THE PRICE £5.59 for 14g from Boots LOOK&PACKAGING The bronzer comes in a small circular plastic container, with a brown base and clear lid so you can see the product. It comes in 3 shades, Sun Bronze, Sun Light, and Sun Glow. You really need to go and try out the colours on your skin to see which is most appropriate for your usage, skintone, and undertone. For a nice sunkissed glow colour, I went for Sun Bronze (I have a medium skintone with an olive undertone) The product has a raised "sun" on it, which is pretty cute. MY EXPERIENCE First off, I think the packaging is great. It has a suitable surface area for just quickly swiping a brush over it. I've had this product for a few months, and the lid hasn't come loose. I also haven't made much of a dent in the product. The product has a light rosy scent to it, which didn't irritate my skin, but beware if your skin is really sensitive. It also hasn't broken me out, or clogged my pores. I apply in the morning using the 3B method (not contouring, just an allover glow). I find that it isn't great for contouring, I end up looking weird, but that may just be ...

In my opinion however, it is totally totally worth it!. MY EXPERIENCE I have used this product for about a year. I had problems with other foundations because I have acne PIH and my pores get clogged easily, so I decided to go for this foundation. The packaging is classy and I especially like the nozzle-like top, which helps control the amount your pour out. The first thing I noticed was the consistency. Not too thick and heavy, but not runny and light either. When I put it on I was amazed! I stippled then buffed with the Sephora Professional Platinum Airbrush #55 and only needed a pea-sized amount. The makeup helps my skin ...

Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow 03/09/2010

Copper Spice- Long Lasting Colour

Revlon ColorStay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Revlon are famous for their range of "ColorStay" makeup. The foundation is a cult product, and it seems as if Revlon have done it again with their decently priced, long lasting and complimentary eyeshadow quads. The Product Revlon ColorStay Eyeshadow Quad in Copper Spice is an eyeshadow produced by the cosmetics company Revlon. The quad also comes in a number of other colours such as Blushed Wines and In The Buff. It is designed to be long-lasting and crease proof for up to 12 hours due to it's SoftFlex technology, but will it live up to its claims? The colours are mildly shimmery and are from top-bottom as follows: light yellow 1, peachy pink 2, copper brown 3, chocolate brown 4 Packaging and First Impressions The quad is packaged in a sleek black rectangular box. It has a flip top lid which at the bottom has the "Revlon" logo in white. The majority of the lid is see-through plastic which in my opinion is a slight waste of space, they could've put a mirror in there. When opened you find an eyeshadow applicator which may be of use to people just starting out in makeup. When I applied the eyeshadows, without primer and with my own brush as follows; highlight 1, lid 2, crease 3, outer corner 4... first impression was that the colours were shimmery but not too extreme, and not super pigmented. However, in my opinion the pigmentation is pretty good for its price. Application was easy with my ELF brushes, and blending the colours kind of “melted” them together. ...
