The Royal Wedding - The Official Album 15/05/2011

A momentous occasion, and a momentous album as well

The Royal Wedding - The Official Album The royal wedding which took place on Friday 29th of April 2011 was a fabulous day enjoyed by all. Many celebrated the day by heading down and taking to the streets to celebrate, however most of us, me included had to settled for watching it on the telly, however still, it was a massive event and I really enjoyed it. None more so I imagine than the bride and groom themselves, and there was so much to plan for the wedding, and so much detail, including this, the songs played at Westminster abbey. All eyes were on the couple in the Abbey and all eyes were on how the Abbey performed in the ceremony too and the music being a key part of this, it had to be perfect. Track Listings: 1. The Arrival Of The Queen And The Duke Of Edinburgh Fanfare 2. The Procession Of The Queen - March From The Birds-Parry 3. Prelude On Rhosymedre-Vaughan Williams 4. The Procession Of The Bride - Anthem: I Was Glad-Parry 5. Hymn : Guide Me O Thou Great Redeemer (Cwm Rhondda)-Hughes 6. The Welcome And Introduction [Spoken Word] 7. The Marriage [Spoken Word] 8. The Vows [Spoken Word] 9. Hymn: Love Divine-Blaenwern Rowlands 10. The Lesson [Spoken Word] 11. The Anthem: This Is The Day Which The Lord Hath Made-Rutter 12. The Address [Spoken Word] 13. The Motet : Ubi Caritas-Mealor 14. The Prayers [Spoken Word] 15. Hymn: Jerusalem-Parry 16. The Blessing [Spoken Word] 17. The National Anthem [Traditional] 18. Weetabix Minis Chocolate Crisp 13/02/2011

Mini, but mighty in taste

Weetabix Minis Chocolate Crisp I have had these weetabix minis a few times now, I mainly just get them if there on special offer as they often are, perhaps as there not quite as popular as the bigger ones. There not my favourite breakfast cereal, however they are one that I do usually enjoy and they are pretty nice, mainly due to just the chocolate chips in them though. The chocolate chips themselves are very small little chips, its kind of that artificial chocolate you find in many of the cereals, it doesn’t really taste that much like real chocolate if you get bits on there own and the consistency is different however perhaps that’s just how they have been made or that they are such small chips, however when they are combined with the actual weetabix themselves they do taste really nice, the chocolate and milk taste is a clear winner, and because I like weetabix any way these work really well. Another thing that’s good about these compared to the full sized ones is that they seem to be more compact, or perhaps its just because there smaller it means they dont sog up as fast, many people like soggy weetabix but I personally cant eat them after a couple of minutes, or probably less, whereas these don’t sog up anywhere near as quick so there much better to eat, though I could see how this could be a negative for some. Sony VAIO E Series VPC-EE3Z0E/BQ 11/02/2011

Power over price

Sony VAIO E Series VPC-EE3Z0E/BQ As far as laptops go, this is one beast of a laptop, it has a fantastic spec, cool design but most of all actually runs like a laptop should, really fast speeds is something that’s important when looking for a laptop or PC, and this one definitely has that. First of all lets look at how it actually looks, it’s a sony vaio so it has that curved shell shape design like the others, to be honest its not the best looking viao out there, its matt black which is nice but I think some of the glossy ones do suit this shape better and there could have perhaps been a bit more colour added. However we’ll forgive it this because of how it handles. Another little niggle is the touch pad which sits just left off the bottom of the keyboard, its perhaps a little too left for some and it could have maybe been better in the middle of the laptop, this means you constantly find your hands crossing over one another as your scrolling and typing, however as I usually use a mouse this shouldn’t be a massive problem but would be if your planning on taking this one out and about. The keyboard is vaio standard, again very easy to use, and very sensitive, not really much getting used to as its similar to other laptops. Perhaps the most impressive aspect of this laptop is its AMD Athlon Triple Core P840 processor, running at 1.9GHz. It also housed 6BG of ram, with the possibility to go up to 8GB which is just outstanding. This makes opening programs and running numerous ones at the same time ...

21 - Adele 06/02/2011

powerful yet soft voice, incredible

21 - Adele 21 is the fabulous second album by the singer Adele, she is someone who I had been quite fond of previous to this album, her first album 19, was quite a hit, debuting at number one in the charts and containing some great hit songs like chasing pavements, hometown glory, and cold shoulder. Sometimes when singers who have had a lot of success with their debut album come back with their second, it doesn’t have anywhere near as much impact, I think these days there are so many new singers exploding onto the scene with their first albums then sadly fading away, however this is now not the case with Adele, she needed to follow her debut 19 album up with another superb album, and she did just that. Track Listing. 1. Rolling In The Deep 2. Rumour Has It 3. Turning Tables 4. Don't You Remember 5. Set Fire To The Rain 6. He Won't Go 7. Take It All 8. I'll Be Waiting 9. One And Only 10. Lovesong 11. Someone Like You The first track off the album, rolling in the deep was also the first release off the album too, its a very catchy song, with a great drum rhythm running throughout which gives it some great pace, this links in really well with the song gradually gaining pace until it gets to the chorus then really gets going. It managed to reach number 2 in the UK charts however i personally think it should have got the top spot. Turning tables is another favorite of mine, her voice sounds really soft and vulnerable on it, which i really like, the lyrics ...

Sony Vaio VGN-AR88E 20/02/2009

sony vaio AR88E

Sony Vaio VGN-AR88E This laptop is the Sony VAIO AR88E. The laptop is made mainly for gaming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to do serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable. Its mainly black in colour however I like the design ho the screen top part comes over the bottom part of the laptop base slightly so that it gives a more cooler look to the laptop. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 2gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its intel core 2 duo T7700 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast. Another thing to note is that this processor runs at speeds like 2.4 Ghz, this is really good and I have never seen another laptop that's runs at these speeds, and all of this makes this laptop absolutely fantastic when it comes to running demanding software and programs. And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 4gb. This will just make everything even faster than it already is, so if you so really need your laptop to be a bit faster then you have got this option at a later date. This is really good because what tends to happen is ...

Samsung R710 - 17" - Core 2 Duo P8600 - Vista Home Premium - 3 GB RAM - 320 GB HDD 19/02/2009

great looking, very powerful.

Samsung R710 - 17" - Core 2 Duo P8600 - Vista Home Premium - 3 GB RAM - 320 GB HDD Samsung R710 This is the Samsung R710, it combines good looks, with really good features in order to make a very nice laptop for various media uses. Its made by Samsung, they don?t really make that many laptops however there products are know not only for quality but also for how cool they look, many of their electrical ranges are so popular just for how they look and this laptop is no different. The laptop is the just the same old basic laptop shape with the same old screen attatchment and if it wasn?t for the base of the laptop would look quite poor. The base however really does make this laptop. Its black glossy shell looks really modern and its touch of red glass like look across the front adds to this cool looking laptop even more. Its ram is also very impressive too, it offers you a full 3 gb of built in ram to power your laptop with. Also the Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 processor can run this laptop at speeds of 2.4 Ghz which really makes this laptop feel very fast indeed. It also offer a huge hard drive to store whatever you need on it, it has 320 gb of storage space so whatever you need to store on there, you know you?ll have room for it. Some high spec laptops seem to let us down with storage space but its good to see that this one doesn?t in the slightest. The screen on the laptop is fantastic too, and is really what makes it. Its 17 inches which is large, but somehow on this laptop it just appears that little bigger than on others of the same size. ...

Fujitsu AMILO Xi 2528 18/02/2009

Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528

Fujitsu AMILO Xi 2528 Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528 This is the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Xi 2528. It is a laptop designed for entertainment purposes whilst still being very cheap in price. Fujitsu Siemens are well known for their cheap laptops, and are also quite well known for making basic laptops and therefore don?t really have the best reputation in the market. However that is all changing now, instead of sticking to the mold of cheap basic laptops, there branching out and are starting to make ultra portable laptops that compete with sonys, and dells whilst being a lot cheaper too. They are now also making entertainment laptops with great specifications and features that come in at just a fraction of the price of some of its competitors and the AMILO Xi 2528 is one of these. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also its Intel Core 2 Duo T8100 which is a pretty good processor makes this laptop run so fast. Another thing to note is that this processor runs at speeds of 2.1 Ghz which is pretty good however I have seen faster, but the 3gb of ram does compensate for this and its very easy to have a lot of programs open at one time without it slowing. This laptop just doesn't stop disappointing us, and an example of this is its great screen. Its TFT screen, measures 17 inches, this is great for watching movies on, watching video clips on and makes gaming so much better too. This screen is also active matrix, this ...

Brylcreem b: Texturising Gum 18/02/2009

Texturising Gum,

Brylcreem b: Texturising Gum I don?t normally do reviews on hair or cosmetic products but as this is something i use quite a lot in my hair then i thought id do one on it. Firstly this is quite cheap, i picked up a tub of this for less than a pound a while ago and its lasted me ages. Its very simple and easy to use too. You just rub a small amount into your fingers, a peanut sized amount should do, but perhaps less if you have shorter hair. The key to this is is use as little as possible to get the effect as then it doesn?t look greasy or like you have too much product in. The gum works really easily into the hair and its easy to distribute evenly as its not too thick, yet still quite firm in texture. When added, if you have shorter hair, then its easy to stick bits up, however longer hair just adds texture and you may have to use another product if you want to stick your hair up. The gum doesn?t make the hair look greasy at all, as long as you don?t use too much and also lasts quite a long time too. If i put some of this on in the morning then i usually find its still in when i get home, although if your going out that night then you would have to put a bit more in as well. Altogether, this is a great hair product, it adds lots of texture to thin or thick hair and is excellent value for money too. If you have a shorter hair style or medium length and want to add texture then i really do recommend it.

HP EliteBook 2730p 17/02/2009

The really elite, elitebook..

HP EliteBook 2730p This is another fantastic notebook from Hp. it?s the HP EliteBook 2730p. One of their most portable and also best spec laptops out at the moment, and perhaps that?s why its so expensive at around £1400. The laptop is very good, and modern looking. Its encased in a steel shell, with the colour of aluminium. Its got a kind of nice rounded curve shaped sides and the screen is detached from the body apart from the hinges in the middle, this gives it a kind of futuristic look which I like about it. The laptop offers a fantastic 2 GB of ram, which means this laptop does run really fast. However don?t expect it to be running quite as fast as less portable laptops as because its small, they have had to save on the processor only offering a Intel Core 2 Duo SL9400 with speeds of 1.86 Ghz. Which in this day of age, isn?t really that good. The hard drive isn?t that good either, its 120 gb, which to be honest is more than enough for me if im not storing things like music and movies on. So if your only using this one for mainly work on the go then you should easily have enough space on it, and if you need more you could always just buy a cheap little external hard drive, which may be better than slowing down your computer with lots of files any way. The screen size is really what makes this laptop so ?elite?. It is a mere 12.1" TFT screen, which may take a little bit of getting used to if you usually use something that?s 15.4 inches or more. However after a while there?s not ...

HP EliteBook 6930p 17/02/2009

The medium, and best of the 3 elite books.

HP EliteBook 6930p Iv recently reviewed the bigger of the three elite books from Hp and then the most protable laptop from the Hp elite book range too. This is then the middle range one, and the middle price one, quite oddly they get more expensive the smaller one you get, however this is just because the technology needed to make a more portable laptop as opposed to a larger one cost more. Like the other larger laptop from the same range, its also comes in a steel case, this not only makes it look good but also makes it feel really sturdy to hold and really robust. One downside to this is that it does show up fingerprints really easily and you do find your self having to clean it quite often if you don?t want it to look a bit messy. While this one doesn?t look quite as modern and nice as the smaller version of it, the laptop still have a new and modern design and look about it. The laptop offers 2gb of ram and this really does make this machine run fast. And if the 2 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 8gb. This will just make everything even faster than it already is, so if you so really need your laptop to be a bit faster then you have got this option at a later date. This is really good because what tends to happen is that as your laptop gets older, and your add more programs and files, it eventually gets slower and slower, this is just something that happens, so having this extra 6gb ...

HP Pavilion Dv9820ea 16/02/2009

the HP Pavilion entertainment.

HP Pavilion Dv9820ea This laptop is the HP Pavilion dv9820ea Entertainment. The Hp Pavilion models are made mainly for gaiming, watching movies on and various other entertainment needs whilst not compromising the ability to od serious work on these as well. One thing that is compromised though is the portability, entertainment laptops are made to keep at home and not really to carry about with you all the time, so whilst the specification may look good, don?t expect one of these to be very portable. The Pavilion dv9820ea combines two colours, silver and black in order to make it look very up to date and futuristic even. It appears nice and rounded, and its shell makes the laptop feel very stable and robust. The installed ram on this laptop is great, it has a massive 3gb which is the main reason this laptop runs so fast, also the AMD Turion 64 X2 mobile technology TL-60 which is one of the newest processors makes this laptop run so fast. Another thing to note is that this processor runs at speeds like 2.8 Ghz, this is really good and I have never seen another laptop that's runs at these speeds, and all of this makes this laptop absolutely fantastic when it comes to running demanding software and programs. And if the 3 gb isn't enough for you (although I cant see this amount ever not being big enough for you), then you can easily upgrade your ram to 4gb. The hard drive also doesn?t disappoint, it offers a 250 GB storage space, and lets face it, if your really using your laptop for ...

HP Compaq 8510p 15/02/2009

Its called business for a reason

HP Compaq 8510p This is the HP Compaq Business Notebook 8510p. When a laptops got the word "business" in its name, then its got a lot to live up to. It either must be very portable or very fast and looking down at this one, I wasn't sure if it would be either. Its made by Hp Compaq, who have been making laptops for a number of years now however most people will probably know HP better for their printers they make. There first laptops started off big and bulky and put them behind in sales of their competitors however they are now starting to creep up the market again as they begin to make newer, sleeker laptops for everyone's needs. The laptop looks quite basic, its all black however its flat and squarish design makes it look quite cool rather than looking like a cheap basic laptop. With a Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor running at speeds of 2.5 Ghz, this is where the "business" side of the laptop kicks in. It has 2 gb of ram too, and loading times are very fast indeed. There's also the ability to upgrade this to 4gb of ram if you want too, however its very fast already and I doubt that there will be many who need this. The hard drive is 160 GB, not too bad, however I would have liked to see it with at least 250 GB so that your definitely going to have room to store everything you need on it. This laptop has a 15.4 inch tft screen, this screen is also active matrix, this is being used by so much more laptop manufacturers nowadays as it makes the screen lighter, therefore ...

Kraft Toblerone Tinys 13/02/2009

tasty triangular toblerone tinys.

Kraft Toblerone Tinys History The toblerone as we all know it, has been around for quite some time as it was first created by Theodor Tobler and Emil Baumann in Switzerland in 1908. For a chocolate bar that?s been around for over 100 years its good to see that a lot hasn?t really changed about the bar itself. When it was first created, they came up with a unique blend of nougat, almonds and honey and mixed this into milk chocolate to create something totally unique at this time. After doing some research into the shape of the toblerone, I also found out that it was based on the Matterhorrne of the Swiss Alps and this is why it was given its triangular shape it is so renowned for today. The new variation. These toblerone tinys are basically miniture versions of the original toblerone pieces. Unlike other variations which have been individual pieces wrapped up, these contain a bar of three little pieces on each block you get and these are all wrapped individually. They contain a mixture of the three toblerone flavours, milk chocolate, dark chocolate and my personal favourite white chocolate. A waste of packaging or a good idea? Personally I wasn?t too sure about these at first, although the box these come in is fairly big, it feels very light and like there isn?t that much inside. Whereas when you buy a full bar of toblerone, you know what your getting straight away, you can feel the weight of the bar and know you have a fair bit of chocolate for your money. I suppose ...

HP EliteBook Mobile Workstation 8530w 12/02/2009

HP EliteBook Mobile Workstation 8530w

HP EliteBook Mobile Workstation 8530w The new elite books from HP offer a real power house of a computer in a fairly portable casing. The laptop itself comes in a steel case, this not only makes it look good but also makes it feel really sturdy to hold and really robust. One downside to this is that it does show up fingerprints really easily and you do find your self having to clean it quite often if you don’t want it to look a bit messy. The screen size of this laptop is 15.4 inch, which is the average size of a laptop. This is about the size you would want if your just using a laptop for internet browsing, doing work on and playing those occasional games and videos. However if you like to watch a lot of videos on your laptop you might wish you’d bought a laptop with a 17 inch or bigger screen as this may be just too small for you. However video quality on the screen is good and after downloading 4od and playing videos off you tube and other sites I never once had to wait for the videos to load, they begun immediately and played all the way through without pauses which is really good. The battery life is really letting this one down at the moment, it will only last you around one and a half hours and this seemed more like one with real hard use of it. Im not sure why this is so bad to say it has an 8cell battery however its probably to do with the Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 / 2.53 Ghz and 2 gb of ram running it down a bit. As I just mentioned the 2gb of ram really does make this machine run ...

HP Compaq 6530b 11/02/2009

HP Compaq Business Notebook 6530b

HP Compaq 6530b This is another notebook from the HP Compaq range that isn’t quite as small as their other ones. Yet still has enough portability for it to be called a notebook. Its basically a mini laptop that runs on windows vista so it lets you do anything you would normally do, in places you wouldn’t normally be able to do them with a full sized PC or laptop. One of the greatest things about this notebook is that the keyboard is actually full sized. If you’ve ever been on an Eee PC for a while you’ll know that it can get a bit frustrating after a while of typing. However with this particular model the keypad is spread out right across the length of the notebook meaning they have actually been able to make a full sized keypad out of it. This basically means you’ll be able to type just as well as you would on any normal keyboard, and this is important when this could be something that your doing a lot of your work on. Usually these things have a lack of memory, however this one doesn’t at all. Its 2gb installed ram means this thing runs like a dream and installing and running programs was really fast too. Also the capability to upgrade to a possible 8gb of ram is there. I’m not too sure if this would do it that much good though as the Intel Core 2 Duo T5870 processor probably couldn’t cope with it so you’d probably be better loading it to 4gb of ram at the most. The size is not much over a length of A4 paper at just 33 ...
