Everything that starts with G ... 02/07/2003

Goodness Gracious me - Another challenge.....

Everything that starts with G ... Sarah (Coolaskaha) has set up this new challenge. She put a note in my GB so I think I will give it a shot! Enjoy......... 1. ITV or BBC? Hmmmmmmmmm had to start of with a toughie, eh? LOL The only way to answer this would be to think about my fave programmes. I have quite a few but when I really think about it they would be, Eastenders, Holby City, Casualty and Spooks – All of which are on BBC1 – oh and 24 (BBC2) well I love Corrie and London’s Burning too but for this challenge I will say BBC. Sorry if I rambled there!! 2. Sunny or Rainy? Rainy – every single time! Why? Because of my hay fever. I actually answered this very similarly in the last challenge that was set. 3. Cat or Dog? Dog. Don’t like cats – think they are very slimey creatures and just don’t trust them. Well I love Salem (Sabrina the teenage witches cat, just incase you didn’t know) but I think we all love Salem. The worlds only talking cat and he is hilarious!! 4. Cod or Haddock? Cod. Haddock is too hard and dry for me. Tastes a bit weird. Overall I’m not really fan of fish. I would only eat it out of one place ad it is a restaurant in Belfast City centre. Brights it is called and their fish is yummy. I have it with chips, curry for over my fish and red sauce for over my chips. God I am getting hungry even thinking about it! 5. Hotdog or Hamburger? Hotdog. Burgers are vile!!! Hate them. 6. Crisps or Popadoms? Crisps. Brain dead here and can’t expand as to why – sorry! 7. ...

Ambrosia Creamed Rice 27/06/2003

The creamiest, yummiest rice in the world....

Ambrosia Creamed Rice Sitting here munching my way through many things. Coke, mandarin oranges, mini snickers and a tub of creamed rice. (I did'nt have any dinner, as you can probably tell) I left the rice till last as it is my favourite and have just finished it this minute and after realising how good it really is I thought I would share my opinion with you lot. Probably hsould've done this a long itme ago as I eat these alot but sure - better late than never, eh?? So what is it? Well Ambrosia Creamed Rice is rice pudding of course. It comes in a few different ways including pots (150gm) and tins (425gm). The majority of the colour of the tin/pot is blue. There is Creamed Rice written in white bubbled style writing. ABove this there is a scroll like design in the clolur yellow with the blue word 'Ambrosia' inside it. Smell? Yummy. Smell is very nice and can be noticed as soon as you peel the lid/open can. Taste? Emmmmmmmmmmmmmm!! Well all I can say is 'creamy'. Thats a bit obvious though with the title and all. No, seriously - it is as creamy and as tasty as it looks. I know some people do not like that 'lumpy' sort of feeling of the rice itself. Personally it does not annoy me but anyone with a fetish for things like this would maybe be better staying away! I thought, cannot get enough! Ingredients? Full creamed milk Skimmed milk Whey Rice (9%) Sugar Total Milk Content (76%) Nutrional Information? Now before I go any further you already know that I am going to ...

Deliciously Delightful Information About Me.....

Everything that starts with D ... OMG - I found another challenge doing its rounds so thought I would give it a go. I may as well seeing as I have done all the rest....LMAO!! *Which do you like the most? 1. Football or Cricket? Don’t really like any to be honest but if I had to choose it would be football every time. Sometimes I would watch Footie with Michael – not that often but it does happen. Really quite funny in this house – Michael supports LFC and Collum is a MUFC supporter so you can imagine what it is like?!?!?! 2. Soaps or documentaries? I like them both. Would watch Soaps a lot more though. Would only watch a documentary if the subject what it was about really interested me. Normally documentaries are on after the soaps anyway so it does not spoil your viewing. 3. Coach potato or exercise freak? LOLOLOLOL – Me? Exercise? Never! Definitely not for me. Has to be coach potato then. 4. Mexican food or Indian Food? None of the above as I don’t like spicy food! 5. Europe or USA? I’ve led quite a sheltered life where traveling is concerned :-( There are a few places I would like to visit. I would love to bring Collum to Disney World so I would say USA here. As I say though, never been far so cannot really say much! 6. Married or single? I am living with Michael. Not married as yet but hope to be sooner rather than later! 7. Happy or sad? Happy OF COURSE! Smile and the world smiles with you and all that!!!! 8. Internet or TV? Hmmmmmmmmmm this is a tricky! I love them ...

10 things I would change about my life 22/06/2003

If only, if only.......

10 things I would change about my life Hi folks. Sitting here reading and rating and have been doing so for a while so I thought I would write as my eyes are going a bit funny with all the reading...LOL - I have to save my eys anyway as I have a 7hundred odd page book sitting in there waiting for me ;-) (yes Harry Potter). All exceited.......... (I've read about 50 pages and so far so good!!) My list of the ten things I would change about my life if I could........... 1) Number 1 would have to be my health and I am 100% positive that anyone reading this who has problems with their health would whole heartedly agree. At the minute I am sitting with a device called a 'patient activated loop recorder'. This continually traces my heart and if I have any of my 'symptoms', I have to press a button for the device to record the previous and future 4 minutes. I still do not know what is wrong with me - hence this thing. Hopefully something will be sorted soon though. 2) Would have to be not only a bigger house but my own house. I rent at the minute and don't get me wrong, I am happy but it will never be mine. Just wish I could get a mortgage but at the minute it is just not plausible. (unless I win the lottery of course). 3) More money. I could probably say I would not like to be 'filthy' rich but maybe I would. I know people say money does not bring you happiness butyou can do so much more with money. You could buy a plot of land, get planning permission and build and decorate to your specifications...... God ...

10 Things I Hate Doing 20/06/2003

Why oh why, eh......

10 Things I Hate Doing Just had a bit of a crazy morning with having to go to Collum's sports day at school so thought this would be a good time to give this op a go..... 1) Teacher meetings - God, they drive me mad. Don't get me wrong, Collum's teacher is a lovely woman but it be's the same rubbish they have to say time & time again. His behaviour is this, his work is that, his talking habits are this and blah, blah, blah...LOL. Suppose it good to see progression but do you ever notice parent/teacher meetings are at the weirdest of times?!?!!? 2) Washing my hair - Now you might think I am a hallion and rarely do it, but I don't...LOL. I wash my hair about 3 times a week and the rest of the time it is constantly tied up. Drives me mad. No matter how I have it cut or styled it goes scraggly as hell looking as soon as I wash it again myself. Times like that I wish I had a personal hairdresser. I love going to them to get it done but me doing it myself?!?! Our survey says, urn urnnnnnnnnn - I am terrible at styling my own hair :-( 3) Ironing - Now anyone who have read my previous ops know that I NEVER iron. I hate it so so so much. Has to be the worst household chore ever invented. I have a technique to washing clothes and how I hang them so I never have to iron. I also never buy blouses or shirts for this reason....LAZY COW, I know!! LOL 4) Shopping - Now of course I do not mean clothes shopping as I would not be a normal girl if I says this - I mean boring shopping for things that have ...

Everything that starts with K ... 19/06/2003

Kellso Kollectively....

Everything that starts with K ... The current challenage has arrived - heres my answers - enjoy :-) 1. Describe the best feeling you’ve ever had? Suppose it would be the day Collum was born. I was 17, hadn’t a clue what to expect and was handed this baby who was mine. Strange feeling though very overwhelming! Next door of course would have to be an orgasm…. Where’s Michael when you need him? LOL 2. Were you named after anyone? No – my sister was named after Lindsey Wagner but mum just thought Kellie Ann was nice – How could you think that was nice? My mother is nuts!! 3. Do you wish on stars? No – I do wish sometimes but I would pray more and sort of rely on God. 4. Which finger is your favourite? Each are equally as needed as the rest so all of them I suppose. 5. When did you last cry? Last night – have really bad hay fever at the mo – hacked lips, runny nose – itchy eyes, sore chest, can’t breathe and it just really got me down so I let out… 6. Do you like your handwriting? I was a good writer when I was in school but I think since I have been using the computer as much as I do I don’t really like writing anymore – it also hurts quite easily when writing now. Does this happen to anyone else or is it only me? 7. Favourite lunchmeat? None of them – all severely gross! 8. Any bad habits? Smoking & biting my nails. 9. What is your most embarrassing CD? People always laugh at me because I have Dr Hook on CD – it doesn’t embarrass me – they seem to think it is ...

Member Advice on Happiness 19/06/2003

If only life was as simple as a smile......

Member Advice on Happiness They say that the most simple things in life brings us the most simpliest of pleasures. I agree, you might agree and him over there might agree - but her or him over there might not. Life can be quite complicated at times and sometimes for certain folk it may not be worth the effort at all. I don't know whether it is me or my imagination but everywhere I look now people are so down and out, it is so scary. Also the amount of suicide I have seen over recent months has been phenomonel. It really is quite sad. A few of my close friends have done it or my close friends family - whatever - all I know is that it is everywhere and someone, somewhere out there should do something to stop it!!! I really wasn't too sure about the topic to where I should put this but I have came across this poem and I thought it was perfect to help those along who are not feeling 'themselves' or who are feeling suicidle or depressed or even those who are just having a rough few days! Anyway here goes and I hope you lot enjoy it - also I would be happy if I help at least one person smile a little bit more - then I will know it was worth while! DON'T QUIT When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you're trudging seems all up hill, When funds are low and debts are high, And you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, Rest, if you must, but don't you quit. Don't give up though the pace seems slow - You may suceed with another ...

Nokia 7650 19/06/2003

My colourful little beauty....

Nokia 7650 Having had this phone now for about 2-3 weeks I thought it was time for me to share my opinions about it with you lot. Was going to do it a while ago but I felt I needed to learn about the phone and it features properly before doing so. Right where do I start? Well I will start of with the one thing I don't like about the phone - the only thing I don't like about it actually...... It has to be size. It is quite a 'bulky' phone which can be annoying. You do get used to this over time though and I suppose it has to be this size due to taking the photographs. Look Like? It measures 10.5cm's x 5cm's when closed and when opened it measures 15cm's x 5cm. It has not got much thickness which is good. The phone itself is silver & black. On one side it has a button you can hold in to use the feature of voice activated dialling. On the pther side it has the button you press to turn the phone on and off. At the top of the phone we have a hole which is for the data cable to connect to. (Ihave not yet used data cable so therefore cannot comment, but sure I suppose the op aint about that anyway...LOL). Also at the top we have a microphone. Bottom?? - well just a hole for the charger to go when phone needs charged! At the front we have 2 red ajoining circles at the top left hand side. These are to do with the infrared features. We also have 2 longish buttons which are used to select the menus and stuff. There is a little silver and black buttn which you use to switch between the ...

Collum - my son

Everything that starts with C ... I seem to have seriously messed up this op - I dont know what happened to it or how. It was an A-Z about Collum my son. I seem to have deleted it by an accident. I will come back and dot his again soon. Please do rate until I have fixed this up - most of you have already read and rated this for me anyway. Cheers folks - take care, have fun and lots of love, Kellso :-) xx Now it is asking me for more words - nightmare for Gods sake. I will be able to come back to do this later but right now I have to go out and really cannot do it. I just about got that other op finished in time.

The Weakest Link (PC) 11/06/2003

Are you the weakest link........

The Weakest Link (PC) Just a few days I bought The Weakest Link game for the PC. Don't think I would have went out and bought it to be honest but I seen it was on sale on homesoftware.com for the bargain price of £4.99 +P&P of course so thought I would give it a go. Been playing it and so far I would have to say I am happy with its performance. Playing a one player game can become boring quite quickly though, as moving around the board/screen awaiting your next question you sort of feel like you should have another page open somewhere for something to do. This is a 3D-interactive game that allows up to 7 players to face the challenge. It allows you to test your knowledge with a mssive 100,000 questions - experience for yourself Anne Robinson's sarky comments (is this such a good thing?...LOL) - You can choose from 24 different characters - You can decide to bank or risk all on your next question - Allows the suffering and humilation of the 'walk of shame' (this is not good...LOL) - and last but not least you can go head to head and become the ultimate winner!!! (are you smart enough) SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS *************** **** English Language Version of Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000 (It tells you this with instructions - I though have XP and it is in P.W.O) 100% Windows 95/98/ME/2000 Compatible Computer System (again as above) Direct X 8 or higher - though if you do not have this, there is different installations that you can choose from and the maximum installation includes ...

My Seven Deadliest Sins 10/06/2003

Is there really only 7.............

My Seven Deadliest Sins Just read and rated Chrissie's op of this so thought I would give it a go. Seems easy enough, hope i don't get stuck!! :-) ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING BETTER No matter what I see or have I always look for something 'better'. This can range from anything such as a packet of ice lollies from Iceland to the carpet that I put on my living room floor. I remeber when I was a kid my mum was always changing things and I used to say "OMG again" but it has become apparent now that I have followed in her footsteps. Cracks me up sometimes - God knows how many times I have bought a new top or something then seen something else and threw it to one side. Not like I am rich or anything and can afford it though LOLOL SMOKING I know its bad - you know its bad - Collum knows it is bad (mummy, why do you smoke? DO you know smloking is bad? Are you always going to smoke? ETC) but I still do it. I would be a liar if I said I didnt enjoy a ciggie because I do - A LOT! Now don't get me wrong as soon as I found out I was pregannt I stopped very nearly straight away (went to Silkcut Ultra Low first) and if I was to get pregnant again I would sure as hell stop. But I feel that is different. At the mo I am only harming myself - a baby can't defend itself. I am so against people smoking/drinking/drug abuse whilst pregnant. I did stop too last year for 9 months and everyone was so proud but got fed up one day and just bought 20 and never looked back. I should ffs - bloody price of ...

The MetArena Nightclub, Armagh 09/06/2003

My second home......... LOL

The MetArena Nightclub, Armagh Quite a few weeks ago I was looking through the nightclub/pub selection we have here on Ciao looking to maybe do a review but I was a bit let down with what there was to write about. The clubs there were available were not even worth a review. I go to the MetArena most weekends and it is an excellent club so I submitted it to Ciao and just there now I received an email to say it had been accepted. Yo0o0o0o0o0o0o! So here is my review. The Metarena is a club in Armagh in Northern Ireland. Well to be exact it is 2 miles from Armagh City centre. I, as you all know live in Belfast. (well the outskirts of). If you were travelling from Belfast City centre it is exactly 45 miles. From where I am it is 40 miles. The club holds a maximum of 2000 people. On a busy night it would be packed out. These would be nights when DJ's such as Fergie or Judge Jules would be playing. Not every week it would be like this though. Sometimes there would be a nice crowd and you would be free to move around as you please. The Arena (name has just been changed and I still call it the Arena) is a nice club inside. There are two floors. The dance floor leads up to the first floor with a few small 'balconies' and then there are two sets of stairs at either side of the club to lead you upstairs. Toilets & bars On the ground floor there are two bars - one at each side and also two sets of toilets - one being male and the other being female! (of course) Again on the top floor there are two bars ...

What I'd put in room 101 02/06/2003

Things I'd lock up and throw away the key for...

What I'd put in room 101 Seen many oif these ops around and have been meaning to do one for quite a while but as you know things happen and you then read and rate another op and it goes out of your head. I just read and rated one there now and though a haaaaaa I'll do you now.... Here goes - I have many things but I'll share just a few. PAEDOPHILES/CHILD ABUSERS/RAPISTS Got to put these all under the same catagory cause lets face it they are all as sick as each other. Even people who are on the Sex register. Get them all out. They are very sick people. I watched a programme last week called 'Spotlight'. Not many of you will have seen I don't think as it is a Northern Ireland based show. (Based around politics etc). Well on this particular episode one of the researchers/journalist decided that she was going to chase online offenders. OMG - the results were horrendous. One guy aged over 30 talked what he thought was a 14 year old girl into meeting him for sex. Little did he know that she was the researcher. So many cases of this happening and so many are unaware. IT NEEDS TO BE STOPPED - ALL OF IT - Too many innocent people/children getting hurt. (Sorry if I rambled there - the whole of the above subject turns me psychically) SICKNESS/ILLNESS Things like cancers, AID's, HIV. All these illnesses are so sad and it would be good for them to be locked up and never be allowed out again. Things like colds and flu's etc would be ok because we all need a little bacteria in order for us to ...

Everything that starts with I ... 02/06/2003

Info, info, info......

Everything that starts with I ... HAVE YOU EVER Been so drunk you blacked out? Once and I swore I would never do it again! I was 17 and was at my friend’s sisters wedding. Between us we drunk a 10 glass of vodka and a 10 glass of Malibu – I can’t even remember getting home. To this day I have never got in this state – infact I barely drink at all now. Last time I drank was on my birthday – 31st January this year! Been hurt emotionally? Haven’t we all?!?!? Kept a secret? Yes I am all for confidentiality and stuff. It takes someone to have courage to trust you with their secrets, so I would never go behind their back – it wouldn’t be right! Had an imaginary friend? Not that I can remember. But who knows??? My Collum has quite a few and people say I was like him when I was a child so it is possible! Had a crush on a teacher? There was this great teacher in our school – Mr. Walsh – God this guy was yummy! Sexy arse and everything so yes I suppose I did. Wasn’t anything serious though! Ever thought an animated character was hot? No but I think Buzz Light-year is cool as….. LOL Had a New Kids on the Block tape Yes!!! I loved NKOTB! Been on stage? In Primary School I was a narrator for a school play – think that’s maybe it. No actually it isn’t! Got called on stage in Secondary school in 6th year to receive my award for best GNVQ student! Cut your own hair? Use to always cut my own fringe but now I don’t have one so I always leave it to the ...

ciao.co.uk 24/05/2003

How I feel and what I think........

ciao.co.uk Oooooooooooooooooooopsie silly me!!! I've just realised that I have done 51 ops and I know I read somehwere here and there that you are supposed to write a bit about Ciao for your 50th :-( This op or piece of writing or whatever it may turn out to be, could be complete crap and if it is I fully apologise in advance! I have nothing prepared for this and really I should, because from past experience and reading others ops on this subject I feel they had planned it a lot more than I have......... Even 5 minutes is more than me at the mo LOLOLOL ;-) ;-) Here goes but seriously don't expect anything special........ I joined Ciao not that long ago. I came across this site whilst visiting another site called Britishfreebies.com. I am a real goer for anything free - I mean, why not? I think you pay in this life so when you get anything free you just gotta grab it. I know you'll all agree with that. So here I was browsing this site and came across a paragraph that told me if I read opinions I would be given money - woo hoo I thought - Can't be that hard...... So I came and had a brief look around. I registered and fully investigated how and when I would get money. I know, very persistent I was, but sure if as I said, if its free?!?!? LOLOLOL I writ my first op pretty much straight away and *BUMP BUMP BUMP* all them FH ratings!!! Nightmare. At the time I was quite angry thinking, awwwwwwww I thought that was ok. In all fairness though I had not yet discovered what a ...
