Kota Kinabalu area (Malaysia) 11/11/2003

Land Below The Wind...

Kota Kinabalu area (Malaysia) Kota Kinabalu is Sabah's capital city. For those uninformed, Sabah, formerly known as North Borneo is situated on the East of Malaysia. Kota Kinabalu received city status in the year 2002. In this opinion, I'll be introducing you not only to the city itself, but I'll also be including a few other not to be missed attractions while you are in Sabah. And who better to give you an insight than a local resident here. ;) :: KOTA KINABALU (KK) :: Kota Kinabalu itself is too small a city and area to actually talk about. The main attractions of Sabah are actually situated slightly further away from Kota Kinabalu. However, the city is equally important as it is the gateway to the rest of Sabah when you reach here. Once arriving at the Kota Kinabalu International Airport, the first place you'll end up in is KK. You can at most spend 1 or 2 days discovering the minor attractions in the city and move on to other areas in Sabah. There is another option which is to chill at the resorts in KK. There are two five star resorts right in the city which are both huge and very well equipped with all sorts of facilities ranging from swimming pools to even golf courses. I will cover more on this later. :: HOW TO GET THERE??? & AROUND :: Air fares from Peninsular Malaysia, more specificaly Kuala Lumpur is very affordable these days. The two main airlines you would normally find is Malaysia Airlines and AirAsia. There are of course a host of other airlines to choose from. The ...

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Homme Eau de Toilette 03/05/2003

If you want to cast a spell on the ladies...

Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey Homme Eau de Toilette L´Eau D´Issey was created under the brand Issey Miyake from Shiseido in 1994 and can be considered quite an old fragrant. However, it is still maintaining it's popularity and is one of the top scents. It's a must have in your collection. :: NOTES :: The fragrance notes are as follows. Top notes are the first thing you smell after application which lasts probably 5-20 minutes. Middle notes will be noticeable for an hour and usually complements both top and base notes. Base notes are basically what you get from the fragrant and is complemented by both top and middle notes. Top Notes : Yuzu (Japanese Citron), Cypress, Coriander, Mandarin, Clary Sage, Fresh Verbena Middle Notes : Blue Water Lily, Nutmeg, Saffron, Bourbon Geranium, Ceylonese Cinnamon Base Notes : Tobacco Amber, Musk, Indian Sandalwood, Haitian Vetiver, Cypriol :: WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE, IN PLAIN ENGLISH :: If none of the above notes crap made any sense, don't fret, no one really understands. L´Eau D´Issey starts off with a fresh citrus top which smells sweet somewhat like lemongrass. However, esp. for those who are looking for a masculine scent, you will be pleased to know that the citrus scent dies down after a few minutes and is replaced by a woodier smell. The woody base mixes very well with the fresh citrus top and spicy middle to create a very comfortable, masculine and laid back scent. This is what the ladies love and they sniff the stuff off you like it's some drug. Personally, ...

Tommy Hilfiger Tommy 03/05/2003

Fresh and Youthful

Tommy Hilfiger Tommy 1994 seems to be a year of great scents. L'Eau D'Issey which is a favourite scent of mine, came out in this year. Another great scent released in 1994, also a favourite, is Tommy by Tommy Hilfiger under the production house of Estee Lauder. Top Notes : Lavender, Bergamot, Rain, Florida Grapefruit, Kentucky Bluegrass, Midwest Spearmint Middle Notes : Driftwood, Cranberry, Apple Pies, Yellow Rose Base Notes : Blue Spruce, Cactus Flower, Vermot Red Maple, Wyoming Cottonwood, Amber :: THE SMELL... :: Ok ...so the Notes they gave us doesn't help much. I mean common, rain?! ...what on earth does that smell like? Fortunately for you, I'm here to tell you what Tommy smells like in human talk. Tommy smells great even before you've opened the bottle. I opened the box and voila! the freshness of the fragrant just hit me. When you first apply it however, the smell is a little bit musky like the smell you get when acid rain falls, which "might" explain the rain part. The musky smell quickly dies down in less than a minute, but doesn't completely dissappear and turns into a somewhat floral smell. Not too floral mind you but ...
