have read some of the other reviews for teenage pregnancy and have to agree with some of the comments written. People judge teenagers who get pregnant as coming from lower class families who know no better, well i have to totally disagree. My mum works in a private school, my dad owns a big arcitecture company and my younger sister is a student at Cambridge University. Me? I'm 23 and now have two children.
I was pregnant at sixteen and although i would not recommend it to anyone, i do not regret a thing and would certainly not change any aspect of my life.
I run a youth group as a volunteer and i have a couple of teenagers who are in and out of trouble. When i started i had a girl there who was fourteen and she told me she wanted to have a baby. I didn't gasp and tell her she was stupid, i just chatted to her and told her how hard it was to bring up a child. I told her how once the novelty wore of, my friends didn't come round anymore as they were busy being teenagers and going out with her friends.
Shes nearly sixteen now and so far she is not pregnant, she does know though as do all the young people i work with, that if they ever do find them selves in the same situation i was that they can always come to me and we will discuss their options.
