After buying an internal CD burner, I needed a good way to label the CDs so that I could put them in cases so they didn?t go missing from time to time. When looking around on many consumer sites such as Amazon, Dabs and so on, I had almost given up in my vain attempt to find a decent labelling system that worked when I needed it to. After hearing from a friend of mine that Neato did a pretty fine CD labelling kit, I started to search on the internet. I found a few reviews that helped to make my mind up a little, I then came across a review on Amazon and to my surprise, someone was selling one new and sealed! So, as many would have done, I got clicking and ordered it straight away. I waited a few days for the kit to arrive, and in the morning it did. Memorex-cellent value 12x CD writer

Advantages: Cheap and comparable to the more expensive Plextor
Disadvantages: Easy CD is maybe not as good as WinOnCD and support is vague

guide that Memorex supply to explain roughly how to fit a DVD or CDROM drive, and is not entirely accurate. It tells you to run the setup on the CD, when there isn't one. Instead there is an Adobe PDF file which acts at the menu for the CD. This doesn't autorun when you put the setup CD in the drive (obviously), and if you haven't got Adobe Acrobat Reader already installed, you have to go through a bunch of nested folders to get to the setup for it before you can load the Menu PDF file. A bit of a pain really. Once you've managed to install the software, and after a reboot, you will find The Adaptec menu will guide you through whatever stages of the writing process, straight from inserting the CDR into the drive. Review of Memorex CD-RW drive

Memorex the best.

Advantages: Good quality recording with excellent results
Disadvantages: None. Perhaps being a brand name makes them more expensive?

a tape wearing out. Memorex go on and on forever. Quantities are varied to suit you pocket. Memorex tend to offer you the range of products in 3 forms. Spindle, Slimline and Standard. While the CD's inside the packets tend to be the same, the packagain differs. Firstly is the spindle. This is often the cheapest way to by Memorex CD's but also the least safe. The CD's come on a ling spindle without individual cases and stuck one on top of th eother. This means they are more likely to be left lying around and getting scratched. But, without the cost of cases, the price is much lower. Spindles normally carry 25 or 50 CDs. Next up is the slimline. This relates to the cases the CD comes in. A box of 10 is the traditional way to buy but also available individually. These are very thin. Not much thicker than a CD and very flimsy. Safer ...
