The drive that I am using is a Lite-on 52x24x52x CD-RW and so if you also ... ...some durability, they are badged Memorex and have lines on the bottom section of the top side for writing on the. The reading surface does not scratch as easily as some other type of disks, but as with all CD’s it will scratch if you mistreat them.

Its good to see that nowadays you are not limited by your choice in recordable media, I remember the days when the only affordable media was the silver disks (you know the kind the ones that will scratch the top layer off at a moments notice and you could actually see through the disks), its good that we are now out of those dark times.
But the hard thing about these times is the amount of media out there that is available for you to get hold of and some of them are not as good as others.
The disks on a simple spindle that contains all 100 disks with a plastic removable cover over the spindle, it sits around 15cm high and as of yet the plastic spindle that all the disks sit on has not broken, which I found used to happen with the silver ones.

The drive that I am using is a Lite-on 52x24x52x CD-RW and so if you also use a 52x drive then these disks will be for you as they do work at 52x, the software that I am using is Nero 5.5.10.9 (the version bundled with the drive). I would expect these to work fine with the other burning software that you can get and they should work with other drives as they are really all the same. If you have a slower drive then it should work fine with that as disks can be burnt at various speeds.
The price I paid for these disks was £17.99 inc VAT and delivery, they have a silver layer on the top of the disk that is not that easy to scratch ,so they have some durability, they are badged Memorex and have lines on the bottom section of the top side for writing on the. Note, the ease of installation, use, manual and manufacturer support catogries do not really apply to CD-R's but I had to put in a choice.
Advantages: Enough for people who want to exchange small amounts of data. Disadvantages: If you want something to hold lot's of information...look elsewhere.

Memorex were a brand i had sat in the cupboard with some music recorded onto. Surprisingly they still work after around 4 years and the ones I use daily though scratched to death still work fine.
Maybe they use some special reflective piece, maybe its all in my head, but from now on for me its memorex all the way for any recordable media. ...

with MemorexCD-R discs.
They are 700MB or 80 Mins standard single layer discs and are 52x in speed. One of the fastest speeds on the market. Most modern recorders support this speed however some are slower. The discs still work with a slower burner but are limited in write speed to the recorder being used. They come in packs of 25, 50 & 100 discs in a cake layer box. I personally pay £6 for a box of 100 and consider them a good price for what they are. Other more expensive manufacturers may provide you with a jewel case.
My experiences with them are as follows: I use them regularly for reading and writing. The data I store on the discs are applications, Photos, Mp3/Music, Video and documents.
I have tested them in Pioneer, LG, Sony and Liteon Burners using Nero Burning Rom as my choice of burning software. I have never experienced any ...
