Review of Sandisk Micro Secure Digital 512 MB by
hazelnutty
Advantages: cheap, useful storage device
Disadvantages: none found so far
About a month ago i bought the Samsung d900 (see review) and have since filled it up with many music tracks and photos. I still had some space left but thought that it would be a good idea to buy a memory card in order to expand the memory. So i bought a micro sd card and have found no problems with it. At 512mb it provides me with more than enough space to transfer multiple albums worth of music, and allows me to be even more snap happy with the ... ...number of music tracks and photos i will be able to put on the card, however at 512 mb i anticipate that i won't be having to pick and choose what i want to put on it!
In terms of installation, it was very simple - i just took it out the packaging (mine also came with a card adaptor so i can use it in my camera if i become short of space on my card for that - very handy i thought!) and pushed it into the card slot in my phone. Voila! It was ready ...

Review of Sandisk MINI-SD Secure Digit. 512 MB by
moi098
Advantages: Easy to use, two uses for one price
Disadvantages: None found as of yet
Having used this product I have had no problems as it is easy to use unlike some other memory cards that have had problems storing data. This product also comes in a range of different sizes of memory ranging from 128MB to 2GB so can be used for many purposes such as using a high resolution camera or even a lower resolution camera, these memory cards can also be used in some mobile phones that support them. Each memory card also comes with a SD card ... ...right card reader, you can just put the card into the adapter and it can be used as a more common SD card. Also this card is less than half the size of a standard SD card, or when used with the adapter can double up as a SD card for use in other items. ...

A dependable memory card, no problems
Review of Kingston Compact Flash CF 512 512 MB by
francisovi
Advantages: It's cheap and getting cheaper
Disadvantages: Bigger than sd/xD?
This card (from ebuyer for under £20) is the main one I use for my Olympus 8080 megapixel camera. I can get 240 8MP .jpg photos on it, which is enough for a weekend away or any other short trip, but having a couple is enough for a weeks holiday. It reads and writes as fast as the xD card that my camera also takes and costs about half as much so no complaints. If you have a lower resolution camera this card should really be all that you need. It will ... ...3MP.
It will fit anything with a type 1 CF slot, which is most larger cameras, some pdas, mp3 players and the like. As it's solid state there no real problem with swapping them round as much as you need, not like microdrive which i've been told can get a bit wobbly with too much handling. Just don't drop them on the beach as unlike the other memory cards, they have little holes to get nicely clogged with sand.
In terms of reliability I've been ...

Sandisk review
Review of Sandisk Securedigital SD 512 512 MB by
halawin123
Advantages: Great storage, and lock facility
Disadvantages: none...
I have used both this and the 2GB product from Sandisk. These have been great, easy and quick to use, and they store absolutely loads of different data. I have numerous pictures, videos, music and movies on mine, and find it really easy to switch the card between different devices.
I have found the lock feature invaluable, especially when younger family members have got hold of our laptop while the card was in there! fortunately, i had locked it, ... ...only one who likes this product, my boyfriend uses the 2GB card more often, as he does photography in his spare time. This has made his life easier, as he can easily store numerous shots and review them at the end of a photo session, rather than having to do it in the middle and delete a load first. This has proven to be great value for money for both of us in both capacities, and we will definitely continue using their products. ...

Review of Sandisk Secure Digit SD 512 Ultra II 512 MB by
johnsto
Advantages: Fast, durable
Disadvantages: It's red.
...fast. And cheap.
This Sandisk card fits the bill. It's fairly large 512MB space means I can store hundreds of 4 megapixel shots, or about 4 minutes of video from my camera. The speed is important, such that it can keep up with both my camera, and my PC when transferring onto my hard disk. The card came with a 'manual' (one side of printed paper), but to be honest, I didn't find it worth the read (not that it would take long). It's all common sense ... ...do. Not bad for a little piece of some plastic and metal.
(The Sandisk Ultra II series is designed to be the fastest SD card in the Sandisk line, but with the standard Sandisk quality and recognition. The 1GB, 2GB and 256MB models 'should' perform just like this one.) ...
