Sandisk review
Review of Sandisk Securedigital SD 512 512 MB by halawin123

Advantages: Great storage, and lock facility
Disadvantages: none...

I have used both this and the 2GB product from Sandisk. These have been great, easy and quick to use, and they store absolutely loads of different data. I have numerous pictures, videos, music and movies on mine, and find it really easy to switch the card between different devices. I have found the lock feature invaluable, especially when younger family members have got hold of our laptop while the card was in there! fortunately, i had locked it, ...
...only one who likes this product, my boyfriend uses the 2GB card more often, as he does photography in his spare time. This has made his life easier, as he can easily store numerous shots and review them at the end of a photo session, rather than having to do it in the middle and delete a load first. This has proven to be great value for money for both of us in both capacities, and we will definitely continue using their products. ... Read review

Camera Capacity Conundrum
Review of Kingston Securedigital SD 256 256 MB by topgeartom

Advantages: Can be found cheap, uncomplicated
Disadvantages: looks & feels 'breakable'

This year, Santa brought me my first digi-cam (see review). I was chuffed to bits, and was soon snapping away at anything that moved, and often things that didnt! Now, as with many other models my camera came with only 16mb of in-built memory, and I was finding that the larger quality and resolution images just ate all of it up in one go, with me only being able to store 20 of the highest resolution pictures, and a pitiful 3 minutes of video. Obviously, ...
...short of cash, I immediately hit the price comparison engines searching for the cheapest deal. My view was that with such an un-complicated and simple thing, going for the cheapest one shouldn’t have had much affect on quality. If you search really hard then you can find an unheard of brand SD card with 256 megabytes of memory for as little as £15. But this takes some hunting, and even with the most simple of gadgets, it can still go wrong. Therefore ... Read review

Memory card for Ipaq
Review of Kingston Securedigital SD 512 512 MB by btr_beri

Advantages: No formatting, reliable, stable
Disadvantages: None

...on here I bought my Kingston secure digital card for my Ipaq. I use the Windows Mobile 5 based HX2490 with a few extra applications which I have downloaded to manage my appointments and my finance. The memory card seems very stable and I had no problems putting software on it. It did not need any formatting before I loaded any information to it, and it has vastly improved the performance of my Ipaq. It's amazing the difference a mamory card with ... Read review

1GB, 133X PNY SD card
Review of PNY Technology Securedigital SD 512 512 MB by volcano

Advantages: High capacity High speed card
Disadvantages: none

...Then my friend said that PNY cards are quite reliable and then I browse this site for a review and there isn't one. Also, it seems quite a bit (£25 for a 512MB slow card) so I use pricerunner to have a search. Something unexpected came up. PNY 1GB 133x by IT247.com @ £25. Wow! Order it before Christmas and got it before Christmas. Good card, shame about the camcorder. The card should be flying but the camcorder was taking its time to take a ...
...noice. May be I should spend less and get a similar capacity slow card instead. Since I haven't got a slow card to compare with, a fast card may help. The initialisation of the camcorder with the card is much faster than that with the mini DV tape and view the photos are reasonably fast from the card as well. A fast card certainly helps. All is not lost, I have got a Yamaha keyboard which can use SD card to record songs. This should speed things ... Read review

Not worth the plastic its made of....
Review of Panasonic RP-SD 016 Securedigital SD 16 16 MB by steveking5000

Advantages: Free, Blue
Disadvantages: Pointless,16mb

...for...until i saw this! My Panasonic FZ-20 is a 5 megapixel camera and when using this card, wait for it, i can fit ...............*drumroll*...................5 photos! What a waste! The memory card is blue and made of plastic. Being a SD card its pretty small, but it is still the same size as other SD cards at 512mb and 1gb....There is a handy little "lock" key like on floppy discs for you to flick so the data on the SD card cannot be accidently ...
...cards at the moment. The data writes to the card pretty quick, but unfortunately i am not able to say the exact speed, but im guessing it is 3-4 MBps / 32x + writing speed. Not much else more to say, apart from dont buy this if you are into photography because with any camera size you will not be able to fit more than 10 photos on. Even for Microsoft Word documents etc you will not be able to fit alot of data on a SD card this size. Overall, great ... Read review
