A brilliant card with plenty of capacity

Advantages: more than enough photos
Disadvantages: only really useable in cameras

...problems although my camera is olympus so if it was another brand it may be a bit slower. The only disadvantage about this card is, is that it can only be used in my camera, unlike my SD card which can be used in my PDA and phone. Finally cost, on the high street from such retailers as Dixons you can expect to pay 35 pounds. However over the internet you can easily knock 15 pounds off that and even more if you look hard enough. ...

Not a flexible card.

Advantages: Fast, accurate, good capacity and Olympus extras
Disadvantages: A little bit fiddlier than SD or CF

...near Mount Olympus. No, an Olympus M-XD card is a memory card designed to store data. The xd format is smaller and neater than the more common SD card, in fact roughly half the size. Olympus has marketed it for their cameras, with the plan that it would fit more easily than the larger type of cards. It can be used in other cameras which take the xd card, and other electrical items as well. 2 What are its features? It is a 2GB version, and that ...
...The special features of this Olympus card relate to their own brands of camera. It can allow panoramic shots to be taken, stored and then compiled in conjunction with their own software. It has also been programmed in such a way that a variety of art functions can be utilised when this card is used with Olympus Master software. The memory chips used are fast in handling memory both in input and output terms. A camera user will find this helpful ...

Good little memory card

Advantages: Fast write speeds
Disadvantages: Can be a bit fiddely

I brought this for use with my Fuji Finepix S9600, as I tend to take a lot of photos first, and then delete those I dont like when I get back to the comfort of my own home, where I can decide which photos are best. XD cards are nice becuase of their small size, although this can make them a bit fiddly for people who have larger fingers, but easier to store, depending on what sort of cary case/card wallet you have for the cards. The write speed ...

* Say XD (instead of cheese) . .

Advantages: Getting cheap now.
Disadvantages: None unless you lose one.

These cards are 2Gb XD memory cards made by Fujifilm, they are the latest in the line of a new storage system. XD stands for eXtreme Digital, the cards are made for digital cameras, plus other devices like digital voice recorders. The cost of these is very competitive, you can buy them for about £22 online. Remember though, this is plus P&P of course. You can buy them on the high street as well of course, but at a much higher price. They are often ...
...20 mm x 25 mm x 1.78 mm, and each card weighs 2.8 grams. You also have the option of going for non branded cards, although I would not use anything but original cards in my camera. You then are safe in the knowledge, that you have the genuine item, and your warranty is still valid. There are two types of these XD cards, M and H type. They each have a slightly different method of digitally encoding, but that does not concern us, they are completely ...

NEW REVIEW 256MB XD CARD FUJIFILM .

Advantages: Very small for a lot of storage
Disadvantages: Very small & easy to lose.

...memory cards are made by Fujifilm are the latest in a line of good storage ideas for solid state information. Apparently the name comes from "eXtreme Digital" The price is very realistic at £9.99 each from various sites, plus delivery of course. I have just found some at £9.65 INCLUDING delivery, and a five year guarantee. ...cards were jointly developed by Fujifilm and Olympus. They do come in a protective case, which is easy enough to keep in the same case as your camera, my tip here is to make the case easy to spot, although the time you are most likely to lose one, is when you are actually changing it. You will probably want to keep several of these smaller cards with you, instead of just the one big one, that way when the card is full, you simply change cards and ...
