River Island Is It A Bit Too Pricey?

Advantages: Good Quality Clothes. Ok Prices , Nice Clothes
Disadvantages: Sales Assistant, Items can be expensive !!

I have shopped in River Island snce about the age of 13. Everytime I get my wages I usually head straigh for there. I love the way the shops laid out. One of the things I Hate about spending my hard earned money in there is the sales assistants. They look down on you as if they are something else!!, and they get a 40% discount on clothes so maybe thats why!!! . Another thing that has made me go off River Island is the prices seem to keep going up ...
...we really need to spend £10 on a pair of stud earings when we can get exactly the same ones for £1.00 !! And I Hate it when you ask for a shoe size and they take forever and come back out and smile and say nope sorry we only have such and such? smiling as if they are happy that they dont have our size!! Argrghh ...

Fantastic service at slaters

Topman Clothing

Advantages: New Vintage Range Is Pretty Darn Good
Disadvantages: Weird Pricing system: Some bargains / Some Scary prices

The thing with Topman is that it's like the new M&S; perfect for the basics but you'd never really go their expecting to spend too much. What I generally do is google 'Topman Voucher Codes' and you can often get anything from 20% off to free express delivery which is pretty good. As long as your whole warerobe doesnt come from their your ok. You should always mix-up vintage and modern items to make your own style. I love thei new Vintage editions ...
...Rather than expanding into the american market Ideally a move into a fairtrade section ( but keeping prices reasonable) would be perfect. Rubbish cotton & cashmere sweater

Advantages: great idea, great style & colour
Disadvantages: poor quality control & badly made

...& I also discovered the Massimo Dutti shop in the Mall of the Emirates, which looked amazing for the clothes on sale ( made in Spain & not China ) & the Spanish speaking staff who served me . I purchased a cashmere & cotton V neck sweater for 205AED, which I thought was a great buy, till after wearing it for the first time, a large hole opened up under the right sleeve. It seems that although the knitted fabric had been over locked, some SLOPPY machinist ...
...denied..SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE !! Since then on discovery of the hole in this garment, I am happy not to have purchased any more rubbish from this company..At least in China, they do make some rubbish quality clothing but their quality control is better than Massimo Dutti ! ...

...Disadvantages: You need your Matalan card Matalan ~~~~~~ Womens department ~~ I would highly recommened matalan for womens clothes as they seem to have a high range of great quality clothes for bargain prices. I picked up a lurvly red jacket in there last week reduced from £20 to just £5, but I would have definatly paid the £20 for it :o) They have clothes for older women like my nans age, such as skirts and pretty but not overly trendy tops. ...quite likes the clothes in matalan and will often come away with a few nice tops. Like the womens sections there's clothes sutible for all ages, and they do a fab range of winter coats for men. The sizes like the womens are really good. They do PJ's and underwear for men too and it's all reasonably priced.
