The Mercedes A Class looks small from outside, but is very spacious inside. The engine is a powerhouse for such a small car. It is comfortable for 4 people and the legroom and headroom rivals many luxirious sedans. The auto transmission is smooth. The aircon is effective but the suspension is not as good as the other models.As with other mercedes models this is expensive to maintain as the service costs about £1000 per year from the 3rd year onwards.The fuel economy and reliability measures upto mercedes standard. The rear seats can be folded away or removed for extra space and this comes handy many times, especially if you have to collect a delivery or house moves.Overall the vehicle is a good buy and performs well in the first five years/80000 miles. It is advisable to avoid servicing it at dealers as their costs are high.
