For one, you're paying very little for a mercedes which looks the part.

Getting to the inside of the car, very spacious for the 2 front seats, but in the back, it struggles to fit any over 6 foot(i.e myself). It does have the option package for a panaramic sunroof, perfect for those romantic star gazing dates.
The boot space is nothing to brag ... ...difficulty i had was i cannot store my guitars. As the car is classed as a coupe/ (could even call it a hatch back!) the boot isn;t expected to be big, But it does store 2 sets of golf clubs, if you remove the drivers and put them in seperately.
The engine is nothing special. 1.8 k, at first when you step on the throttle there is nothing, but as soon as you reach 4000 rpm, the kompressor kicks in for extra power. 0-60 is shamefully ... more

The boot space is nothing to brag about, as it isn't as wide as expected so the difficulty i had was i cannot store my guitars.
0-60 is shamefully slow, due to the initial accleration without the kompressor. But you'll be hitting 100 mph without yourself knowing. the acceleration is poor due to the heavy weight of the car.Because it is the 180k, fuel economy is good, but this is sacrified with perfomance. As a young driver i am happy with this car. Costs me just under 20 grand for a MERCEDES! and it looks very sporty indeed. (note, this car is now about 10 grand for a 2nd hand) Shame that it doens't go like it looks!
Advantages: Quality and confort, ease of drive Disadvantages: Not sporty
I own a 2003 Coupe and love it!! Okay it may not be super sporty performance and the road handling isn’t that good, especially in the wet, but if you want a classy car with comfort and merc build quality it’s great. The comfort in the cabin is high, a lot more space than some other coupes and the noise levels are very low. The automatic gearbox is a dream, with a tiptronic when you need to change gear. I have found it easy to adopt a confortable ... ...tired, this car is very easy to drive.
You don’t get many features, within the cabin as standard, everything is at extra cost. Comes with cloth covered seats as standard, basic sound system with radio and cd, speaker quality not that good.
I particularly like the automatic lights that adjust according to weather conditions. ...

Advantages: its a Mecedes Benz Disadvantages: Slow Slow Slow - Not very sporty at all
The term 'sport' should conjure up images of fast and exotic sports cars hugging the ground and streaking off towards the horizon. There is nothing vaugely sporty about the MB C180 Sport. This must be the worlds most underpowered car. Don't get me wrong, its a great car, its a MB after all, it looks great in black, and quite sexy with the sports suspension. But the tank like build and the small engine combine to make for very slow progress.
The ... ...carbon fibre look and feel to it. The seats are great over long distances, remaining comfortable throughout (even for 6'6" mutants like me)except that is if you put the front seats right back and it becomes a 2 seater, no room at all in the back.. The air con is very poor, either freezing or roasting.
Overall its still a fine car, but don't be mislead by the 'sport' bit and save up for a C230 Kompressor. ...

Advantages: Comfort, dashboard, engine, build quality Disadvantages: Badly thought out reverse gear on manual gearboxes
I recently changed positions within my own company and ended up with either a company car or a car allowance. Given my previous car had been written off by a driver who crossed a give way sign in broad daylight, I took the company car option.
Given a choice of a German make, a German make, a German make or a German make, I went for a German make. Specifically a Mercedes. I could have gotten a cheaper car (still have to pay benefit in kind costs) but had always wanted to drive around a brand new Mercedes, at least once. So that's what I did.
Exterior/Image:
One of the reasons I went for a Merc, rather than a BMW is that the image of a BMW driver is inconsiderate, tail-gaiting and impatient and those that drive Beemers are all tarred with the same brush. In other words, I actually wanted to be let out at a junction.
