Since owning a Mercedes C Class I have become most impressed by its high quality, economy and reliability. The only downside that I have found is that servicing through the Mercedes dealership is expensive and not necessarily effective or appropriate, but perhaps necessary to ensure that the car retains a valuable 'full service history'. I have used my 'C' Class for 3 years having bought second hand at 7,000 miles. Now the mileage is approaching 60,000 and the car has hardly faultered in that time.
Other than routine tyre replacement the car has had 2 glow plugs replaced on separate occasions and this can be seen as routine. As far as I am concerned the replacement of rear brake disc pads and discs during a routine service with no prior warning of failure and without sight of the warn parts was 'iffy' - particularly in that the front disc pads were still in good shape 5000 miles later. (The manual indicates that brake wear indicators are fitted. This is only partially correct! The wear indicators are fitted to the front brakes only on my vehicle.)
I think you need more detail for a higher rating but good op :) em x

Hello, hmmm a little more info would improve your op. For example, what features within the car do you like? Cruise control, the seat belts? the adjustable seats? Do the seats remember the positions for different drivers? I believe Mercs comes with voice control navigational system. Do you like it? How about the anti submarine seats?

Hi there, welcome to ciao. sorry about the FH rating but you really need to add a bit more to get a better rating. Try writing it from a point of view that the reader knows nothing about the product (In my case this is true). Maybe write about headroom, legroom, is it a family car, performance around town or on long trips. If you decide to edit your op feel free to leave a message in my Guest book and I will gladly come back, have a read and rerate. take care. wendy xx
