Servicing is as you'd expect from Mercedes - pricey - but so is BMW. Minor servicing is £250ish and a major is £500 (every 10k miles). Bought the car couple of years ago with 6000 miles on the clock (Avantgarde style, model w203 ), and it's still running smoothly with 16k miles on the clock now. Albeit the crashes I've had (first one by a cat running in front and the second by someone hitting my side as they were pulling out of a side road), this car is the dogs bollocks. It looks cool and drives pretty well for a saloon of this class. I would have gone for either a BMW 3-series coupe or saloon, but everyone's got one of them... I wanted something different. Safety is great, with more airbags than I count in the front and the back. The built in sound system is v. good, giving some deep rumbling bass with the right tracks (Need for Speed Underground is great with it) The standard suspension is a bit soft, and would recommend the sports suspension and parameter steering. Leather is also a must option (with heated seats), as is climate control. I wouldn't bother with the patrktronic (parking aid), as this car is a doddle to park. It aint that big to too drive! The automatic is god damn smooth and would recommend it (it does have gear changing abilities too!). The auto's on other cars suck badly compared to this. I've onl;y had two incidences with regards to getting keyed, nothing major - which is good. Fuel consumption does suck a bit, for a 2.6l v6, with an average 12miles per day (mostly stuck in traffic to wimbledon), i pay about £80-100 a month. With that in mind, I should have bought the 3.2l v6 - in for a penny, in for a pound. Driving from South London to Manchester gives me around 25 to 30mpg, and this is me with my 'heavy' foot. ...quality. As it is a mercedes the price is less likely to depreciate and it is something you be proud to have in your driveway.
The ride is comfortable and cruises quietly along the motorway and the fuel consumption is around 30mpg which is pretty good. There is plenty of legroom in the front and the back with adjustable front seats. There is enough boot space and it is relatively easy to load. The gadgety is optional but worth it and the onboard ...

Advantages: Everything is perfect Disadvantages: Economy
I am driving this Mercedes for more than a year. And I love it! It is comfortable, good looking, everything a young and ambitious driver needs. Although, it depends on the interior very much - one of my friends has one with black material interior and it does not look as good as light color leather. I have it with the engine of 2.6L. One of the bed things is economy of this car - it takes 14-16l / 100 km driving in town and about 9l on highway, going ...

The Mazda 6 was something of a departure for me. Having been spoiled by the Audi A4 and more latterly the MercedesC240 (both 2nd hand of course) the time had come for some affordable style, practicality and common sense(2nd hand of course). The '6' scores heavily in both departments. I bought mine at 6 months old on a '53 plate and with 8K on the clock. This followed a lot of research on the rivals, a tight budget and a very open mind.
Styling is sleek with a high bootline that bears a passing resemblance to the Lexus. This does hinder rear visibility particularly if fitted with a spoiler, so a reversing aid may cushion your wallet. The front slopes away and you need to watch the lower spoiler against kerbs. Crisp handling comes as standard and the car sits on the road with a re-assurance that well paid executives will be familiar ...
