The car was bought new to replace a very temperamental C220CDi which gave trouble over its four year life.
In the revised C class the C270 engine offered additional power and a much improved interior style. I have found a great improvement in every area to the previous model , and build quality is now up to Mercedes standard.
The safety factors are excellent and I have benefited from both the ESP which electronically corrects potential slides , and high braking quality. Roadholding is superb and the engine power comes in rapidly and smoothly across the range . Servicing costs are reasonable and only come round every 15K miles , although fuel economy is not a feature.
If you are considering a compact executive saloon this model would be a good choice .
