Advantages High luxury with 5 star safety
Disadvantages Car taxing penalty
I have a Mercedes ML 270 cdi and I cant praise it enough. I have had a Range Rover and a Freelander in the past and deffinately will never change from Mercedes now. It is fabulous to drive, comfortable and even with only a 270 engine as opposed to the more powerful ones it pulls my horses fine. It gives the luxury of an upper class car but the security of a 4x4 with the reliability of German manufactoring. We have found a brilliant mercedes trained garage to service it and can honestly say that the running costs are half what it cost us when we owned the Land Rovers. It is Mercedes every time for us now! The 5 speed auto gearbox is not only very smooth when it changes but is a superb match for the diesel engine.
