Mercedes ML 270cdi
Review of Mercedes ML270 cdi by mantaf

Advantages: High luxury with 5 star safety
Disadvantages: Car taxing penalty

I have a Mercedes ML 270 cdi and I cant praise it enough. I have had a Range Rover and a Freelander in the past and deffinately will never change from Mercedes now. It is fabulous to drive, comfortable and even with only a 270 engine as opposed to the more powerful ones it pulls my horses fine. It gives the luxury of an upper class car but the security of a 4x4 with the reliability of German manufactoring. We have found a brilliant mercedes trained ... Read review

Top car!
Review of Mercedes ML430 by kellyann36

Advantages: air con, electric seats, four wheel drive
Disadvantages: Expensive to run

My dad had a mercedes ml 430 that he got in a swap for a bmw m3 evolution convertable that he had, He kept the car for around two years and regretted selling it ever since. I used to drive this car and loved it. The ml was the most comfortable car i have ever driven and probably the best to drive as well, it was a automatic model and changed up through the gears so smoothly that you didnt even notice it changing. The air con was perfect and so was ...
...electric seats were very comfortable and easy to operate there were also the extra two seats in the back making it a 7 seater the extra seats also folded up to give you the boot space when you needed it. I did find it quite expensive on petrol when using it for short journeys but on a long run was quite good. Dad sold the car when the mileage got to 150,000 athough the engine still sounded and run like new his next car was a bmw 330i that he didnt ... Read review

Awesome
Review of Mercedes ML55 AMG by colsy

Advantages: sportscar 4x4
Disadvantages: spare wheel in boot

Being a previous owner of a numerous performance cars, i am still amazed at the power of this 4x4, with an all up weight approching 2 tons, it's grunt is astonishing, our car has sat nav, privacy glass, auto-wipers and bose options, which are well worth the money. It is very easy to drive with one of the best driving positions, i have experienced, ergonomics of all the controls and switchgear are perfect, auto-transmission is excellent and the brakes ...
...is dreadfull, i can achieve 18-20mpg motorway @80-85mph, and as bad as 10 around town. any prosective purchaser would expect this from 354bhp v8 given its weight/drag. They are real lookers and attract a lot of attention, Build quality is quite poor in some areas, ours has suffered with poor fitting leather, and window seals, and some interior details are not so well fitted, nevertheless, the car is a reliable bulletproof family chariot, which ... I wouldn't bother
Review of Mercedes ML270 cdi by ruggerblob

Advantages: Looks flash.
Disadvantages: Just about everything

This is a nice car. It\'s a Mercedes- it\'s a 4X4. It\'s shiny. Being an automatic, the handling is much easier and driving is almost a relaxing experience in this motor. It has heated seats, cupholders and every other mod con imaginable. That's where it ends. Visibilty out of the vehicle is limited compared to other models and other cars. Unless you're very used to driving a 4x4, this can make manouveres extremely difficult, almost like guesswork ...
...be lacking are the sensors which beep when you get too close to something. There's no chance you can park in a tight spot with this motor without it becoming a hazard. The car was extremely unreliable, making living with it extremely difficult. If you know how to drive a truck, you might be able to manage this. ... Read review

4 4 4 4 cough!
Review of Mercedes ML270 cdi by cherishgifts

Advantages: Strudy and flash,
Disadvantages: Terrible bumpy ride, unreliable and expensive to run

...I did go on the Mercedes off road day, close to Maidenhead and took 5ft Sherry (my wife, not a large bottle of drink!) with me and she excelled getting the big lump up and down gorges and dips. She also drove the car well. The ML does hold its own off road but the tyres need changing to accommodate this. I will go on about this a bit later. Okay, bulky appearance but front views show a predominant grille which resembles a row of sharks teeth really. ...
...good and all the usual Mercedes features come as standard as far as safety is concerned. Servicing for these cars averages an impressive £450 per 15,000 miles service (has an onboard computer that tells you when it is due.) and the cost of running one is not bad either. Driving sensibly, you can average 35 mpg, and a run from Edinburgh to Poole averaged 38 mpg. The drive from Pool to Salisbury every day averages 28 mpg, based on an 800 mile two ... Read review
