Sumptuous Luxury, Cheaper Than You Think

Advantages: Highly respected, classy cruiser, well equipped
Disadvantages: Image is wrong unless you're old and fat

...the road, however, is the Mercedes S-Class. "Hold on!" I hear you cry, "what about the Rolls Royce?" Well yes, you probably have a point there, but how many times do you hear a motoring journalist whittle on about the S-Class? To see what’s going to be on your car in ten years time, they say, take a look at today’s Mercedes S- Class... And they’re right. What could only be found on an S-Class twenty years ago is bog standard on ...
...on the clock, affording a Mercedes S-Class just gets a little bit easier. Take the 2002 model Mercedes S320 CDi, for example. At five years old, this is a steal of a car: costing over £50’000 brand new, today you can pick one up for less than £20’000.

To look at, the S-Class is luxury redefined. The exterior of the car simply exudes success without being brash about it, unlike some other Mercedes-Benz models. Silver is the best colour ... more

S320i

Advantages: Luxury, Style, Performance
Disadvantages: Expensive, Big

My boss at my previous job owned one of these so i was used to driving it around the site and up and down the road, so this is just what its like to drive, NOT own, im only 18!!! well this s320 was fully loaded with extras including chrome wheels! to drive it was really smooth especially considering its a diesel, no way can you tell, its just so quiet. Everything about this car is luxurious from the keyless start and interior showed that this was ...
...size of it it is really quick and smooth and quiet when you floor it, no usual diesel roar as is common when you floor most diesel car, plus it feels like your hardly moving the ride is so smooth. On the negative side its a big car so parking can be awkward especially when you are paying so much for it and dont want to scratch the paint!! Overall its a great car if you can afford it and the repairs (if any needed) ...

Easy comfortable crusing

Advantages: Comfort and ease of driving
Disadvantages: Big and expensive

I drove this car for the first time yesterday and although I was impressed by its economy (showed 36 mpg better than my E300 ever did!), how quick it was, comfortable and easy to drive, I don't think it has anything to offer me over the E320CDi Elegance. The interior is virtually identical to the E320 CDi Elegance but more spacious. I don't like the size of the steering wheel either. Its far too big! It is a nice car to drive and fantastic economy ...
...but then I was happy with the E320 Elegance. My E300 wasn't as good as these cars but then at 5 years old, I wouldn't expect it to be. Personally, I would go for the E320CDi Elegance estate over this car but then its image that sells the S class more than anything. My advice is test it before you even think about buying it but make sure you take a look at the E class as well. ...

Five years with an S class

Advantages: good economy , superb build quality ,reliability
Disadvantages: lot of optional extras inflate price

I bought my S320CDi new and collected it from the factory which was a great experience and costs you nothing as it is covered by the UK delivery charge. The car has been better than my highest expectations for example on delivery it gave me a pleasant surprise as it comes with double glazing as standard , a fact not even mentioned in the brochures. It is extremely economical , very comfortable and the build quality superb. After 125000 miles it drives ...

Mercedes S320, series 300SEL W140 1993

Advantages: Very high build quality, silent running, prestige, badge, lush, solid, fast, sumptuous.
Disadvantages: Difficult to park, dealer will empty your bank balence, large car - small....... !

Mercedes 300SEL , S320 Limo 1993. How I acquired the vehicle? In my course of work (Mobile vehicle mechanic) I meet a lot of people in the trade. Because of this, I get the nod when any quality vehicles turn up in the scrapper (for what ever reason they were scrapped).... many times this is down to un-economic repair costs. Which are for this beast, astronomical? ...well if you are prey to main dealer prices and practices, cars like this will never be owned by the 'less well offs' and I include myself in that statement. It's better to be lucky than rich sometimes. For me, it's a case of; sod the usual car buying outlets and get your self down the scrapper. Lucky for me then! On first inspection of this car in the breakers yard, I was shocked by its size; it was huge, damaged, covered in dust + thick mud caked the wheel ...

Diesel at Its Best

Advantages: Runs nicely
Disadvantages: cup holders

, Leather seats, and satellite navigation. For a diesel engine it is extremely quite, and runs superbly. PRICE ***** Mercedes Benz E Class 320 Cdi is around Twenty-nine grand. As I?ve said it might be a little heavy on the pocket but its well worth it, this car performs superbly. Looks ***** This car looks great, wouldn?t say it looked like a super car but its fine for its purpose. Engine ***** OK, it?s a Diesel. Diesel engines have been around for 100 years and clean-burning highly efficient diesel engines are here now and available in cars and light trucks, albeit in limited numbers in the United States. In Europe where the cost of fuel is two and three times the cost in North America, diesel engines make up about 40 percent of the mix. Mercedes leaves no doubt that you are riding in the lap of luxury. The doors ...
