Most readers will probably look at this review and overlook it; the common misconception is that the flagship Mercedes-Benz S Class is a luxury that many cannot afford. WRONG ? You can pick them up for as little as £5000, considering they retail for over £60k at new, this is fantastic. But why should you choose the S over any other car? It is a Mercedes and the best of the lot!!!
The S class has been around for many years and is currently on the W221 range, which came out in 2006. The review I will be writing is about the W220, in my eyes the nicer of the two. What you will come to appreciate is that the S class is the benchmark of the motoring world. What comes as standard on the S class today will be standard on a Mondeo in ten years time.

I bought this Blu Ray player as I wanted to watch DVD's in the same glorious HD as SKY HD, but also because I wanted an upscaling DVD player for non-HD DVD's. I had previously tried a Philips upscaling player, but was very disappointed with the performance, which was barely better than my standard, non-HDMI DVD player, so took it back for a refund. The Sony BDP-S350 however is a totally different animal.
Firstly, It looks good, with it's metallic blue front, which automatically flips open and closed when a disc is inserted or ejected.
Boot-up time on some Blu Ray players has been an issue, but on the Sony it is as quick as any standard player.
Connections are via an HDMI cable, there is also a optical output for excellent Dolby 5.1, via the necessary hardware.
Blu Ray picture quality is tremendous, possibly slightly better than SKY ...

The Mercedes E-350 is a sleek, classy and extremely comfortable automobile. It handles extremely well when braking, making tight turns and accelerating. My wife was recently in a very serious wreck that should have paralyzed or killed her. She was in our previous Mercedes E-350 and although she sustained injuries and had to be cut out of her car by the "Jaws of LIfe", we felt very lucky. The car did exactly what it was supposed to do mechanically and all of the airbags deployed perfectly and the sturdy steel frame of these heavy cars acted as a cocoon, protecting my wife. Due to this first hand experience of the safety of Mercedes cars in general, we will remain loyal to Mercedes for life. We initially bought our E-350 because of its' handling and body style.
