After buying the Mercedes SLK 32 AMG a couple of months ago, because I needed a something to get me from the city to home in Belgravia. I can say I was so pleased with the car me and my wife flew to Germany to pick upmy baby. Having had BMW convertibles for most of my working life it was a change. It wasn't cheap at 45k but worth every penny, the test is after changing my car every couple of years I don't think I could trade in my baby for anything better!! (except a newer model!)
It's got everything a sports car could ever need one minute it's a roadster and at the touch of a button it's a couple. It's got AMG body styling, twin exhaust, 17-inch alloys and then engine is a dream 0-60 in about 5 seconds!
It gets better on the inside two tone leather (i have it in black and blue) the seats are so comfortable you never want to leave the safe cocoon of the SLK. The SLK is sport through out some might say it's got sport on the brain even the sat nav. is too fast for me!
There is not much boot space, but then again everything about this car says just live, it fits the clubs, the lap top and the weekly shop from waitrose in the boot...what more could you ask for!!
It's one of the safest cars in its class with guardian angels to hand! yet it still drives like a good women and it's economical too.
Then there is the service, the local dealer handled all my requests as soon as possible. They have a service for everything...when my embarrassed wife had managed to drop the keys down a drain in the Harrods car park.... her excuse she didn't want the porter to park the car. I told her to call the Mercedes call center and they had a new key to her within the hour (this was the London rush hour) Mercedes has outstanding service from it's lifetime rust guarantee and peace of mind of mobilolife. Not to mention the quarterly magazine you always feel Mercedes is there.
Well since my wife borrowed my car one day after her's was in the garage she immediately wanted one, so we now have two! there great cars reliable and good for impressing clients- you CAN turn up late for a meeting driving the SLK!! It's like his and hers (mine silver hers blue!!)
Mercedes is more than a car. It's living a dream; the lifestyle a Mercedes offers you is one you'll never look back on. Once bitten by the merc bug you'll never have anything else because Mercedes is superior and nothing comes close!
