Mercedes SLK 55 AMG

I am going to start with the many reasons why I love my SLk 55 AMG. Its mercedes, its fast, its reliable, its handling, its suspension and its breaks. Oh yeah its also AMG which allows us want to be bad boy racers to get out on the street but not look like something out of Westside story.

I'm going to follow up with the non-motoring side of things that the SLk offers as it is more of a ladies car it excels in this area. Firstly it has heated head rest to keep those vitual brain cells warm. Secondly it came with the entertainment package with sat-nav upgrade (again for the women) and comes with built in 11 HardonKardon speakers for the classics to pump out through. It also comes with an LCD command screen and DVD player for those long journeys with the kids in the back (apart from their are no back seats, so just leave the kids behind!)

Whilst I have my speakers cranking out my new Lighthouse family album which is even shaking the whole car I feel like a God. The car does 0 to 60 in a respectable 4.8 seconds but that is mercedes measure and they do seem to be dodgy on their recordings. Its also great to park being so small so i can trust my wife with it in a multi-story car park!

The car goes slightly fast if you turn off the ESP (Electronic Stability Program), this prevents wheel spin and such so take it off then you can go for a real test drive.

As with all mercedes nowadays the interior is modern and squeaky! The two tone colour seats and black interior look just like you invisage a classy car.

Now to the real stuff:

The engine is a SOHC V8, 360 HP when its not turbo or supercharge, slight bonus that this womens car has a very mainly bonet! Supercharge it to get more horse power with a performance upgrade and the figures read 560 Hp.

Now the 0-60 reads more in the zone of 3.8, which is alot more like it for reversing of my drive and going into town.

The SLk is a hard top convertable, which is a main feature in persuading your wife to let you get one. Oh its really pretty they say! And not only is it a convertable its the best motoring convertable around!

Many other companies have tried to match the mercedes elegance and all have failed miserably so get the real Mcoy. The most funniest thing about this car is that it weighs in at about 3,200 3,300 lbs which makes it heavy for a car in its class. It has automatic transmission and still it flies past people on the streets better than anything in its class.

I love this car so much and I have to say the Germans do it alot better than us, the americans, the japanese and the Italians and at the end of the day the Mercedes style has got it.

This car was recommended to me by a friend who owns a dealer ship and he says that the car is not only the best in its class but its probably in the top 3 mercedes of all time.

Now all I have to do is let my wife trade it in for a maclaren! Unlikely but worth a shot.
