An Excellent car in almost every way!

Advantages: Good Looks, Amazing roof, comfortable
Disadvantages: a bit "safe" for my liking!

SL600. Wasn't 5 litre fast enough.

Advantages: It looks stunning and sounds great.
Disadvantages: It drinks petrol

...that has rolled out of a mercedes show room. I cannot match everyones tastes so book a test drive at mercedes, and test it out for yourslef. It destroyed its rivals and still is one of the best sports cars around. Take my advice try it out! ...

Classic 500SL

Advantages: Affordable luxury motoring
Disadvantages: Buyers beware!!!!

...for 7 services at a Mercedes Benz dealer. £1189 for a fuel pump relay, brake disks x 2, pads x 2 and a battery. £450 (approx) for 7 years road tax. (it is only used 6 months a year) £1000 depreciation over the 7 years. If you break this down it works out at under £700 per year which compared to modern motoring is amazing. Dream car - but a bad dream.........

Advantages: Great looking car
Disadvantages: Having to deal with Mercedes-Benz; car in the workshop too much

...soft - have Mercedes ever made a real driver's car? Irritating bulb failure signal on the dashboard - but no actual bulb failure; can't seem to get the seat to a '500 miles in comfort' driving position; workshop quality control poor: new rear number plate only affixed on one side; (folded) roof elevation switch in the boot not reconnected after the car was worked on; cigar lighter (in car and similar in boot) not working after being returned from ...
