This very practical van has very good loading capacity while it still takes 5 passengers (and driver) in acceptable conditions. The driver is possitioned perfectly for the ride with more than ample adjustments to his or her seat and leaving loads of room to move around if you have to on those long journeys. The seats for the passengers are less comfortable and have absolutely no adjustments which is a real downer. The noise is ok at any of the speeds and are actually less than the VW polo we also drive. The rear passenger compartment has no light either which is again a slight minus point. The performance is absolutely mind blowing for a van this size. It can leave most cars standing at the lights and when overtaking on the motorway again it has such useable amounts of grunt that it just feels like a car in most cases. The fuel consumption is quite good and if you drive like it is a car, like described above, you still get over 35 mpg. If you drop your speed and leave your aggressive alter ego home, you can expect any amount over 40 to 45 mpg depending on how well you behaved. Something else to note about this van is the solid feel it has. You hit a speed bumb with any car over 30 mph and you feel you have just been through a meat mincer, with this van you feel very little and hear even less. The body is so solid and rigid that to date I cannot detect any rattle or grinding noise other than from the load in the back. All in all a great van for a good price but please give us a bit more "Mercedes Benz" with regards to interior style and passenger comfort. Oh jeah, why does that gear stick gator wear out so fast? The only BAD looking thing about the whole van in my opinion.
