Plagued by unsightly razor burn and frustrated at extortionate prices for replacement mach 3 blades, I went on the lookout for a razor that would enable me to have clean, smooth and irritation free shaves, all without breaking the bank. After researching for many weeks it seemed that a traditional, one blade double edge razor may be the answer to all my problems. So I went ahead and bought the Merkur Futur. This razor is incredibly well designed and engineered. Although the weight takes some getting used to, this razor will produce shaves of excellent quality and comfort, totally unrivaled by the more modern multiblade approach of shaving. I would recommend switching the Mekur blades for another make, and investing in good a good quality shaving brush. You should also try some traditional shaving soaps and creams to further enhance your shave. Your face will thank you for this purchase!
