grooming accessories, using only the highest quality materials and finest craftsmanship. The classic Vision 2000 Brushed Steel Razor incorporates the "butterfly" design which allows the two-part top to be opened and standard double-edged blades to be safely inserted. The fissures in the blade and sides can be individually and continuously adjusted. The blade position preferred can be noted by using the V-I-S-I-O-N scale. The balanced ergonomic design means that this 100% metal shaver can be held close to or far from the blade and moved in or against the direction of hair growth while shaving. The Merkur Vision 2000 is supplied in an attractive metal presentation box including a pack of 10 Merkur recommended blades.

Advantages: Very comfortable shave, quality shave and is very cheap Disadvantages: Have to unscrew the top to change Blades
...!
The highlight of this product was the second shave, I was more confident and more skilled in using it. I also figured out how to make a shave even closer, by twisting the base a little clockwise so that the blade is a little higher up. The shave is seriously fantastic and it was so comfortable, very unbelieveable for a single bladed razor!
The blades are really cheap too and is available in tesco/ boots and most other places and you can choose what blades you buy, there are many different brands! i have heard Merkur do good blades but dont quote me on that!
I will end this review with a small conclusion:
This really is a no nonsense razor that is ideal for anyone fed with spending loads to buy a cartridge bladed razor! The shave is probably the same as the leading brands so this is better value!
One thing though, you really should be spending...

Advantages: Not too bad a shave. Cheap. Lubrastrip prevents too many nicks and cuts. Disadvantages: Not as good a shave as with a "swivel-head" razor.
.... Shock and horror for a true Scotsman, who immediately had visions of having to fork out money for a brand new razor when he already had a perfectly good one sitting at home!
But needs must, and it was into the pharmacy at the airport.
The usual selection met my eyes (all fairly expensive) until I spotted a pack of 5 twin-bladed disposable razors at only €2.52; the Gillette Blue II Plus Razor. (With lubrastrip)
~ ~ I’d had a bad experience some time back, when my wee lass had returned from a trip to the supermarket with a pack of these bloody (quite literally) orange Bic disposables when she couldn’t get any refills for my Mach 3. My face had been torn asunder, and I looked like I’d been partaking in a knife fight (on the losing end) for about a week until the scars eventually healed. (Be warned and *DO NOT* be tempted!)
But being nothing...

Advantages: Well designed, easy grip, good shave when new Disadvantages: blades dull very quickly, too expensive
...I have been using the Razer Fusion for about three months now and couldn't bring myself to fork out on the massively expensive Fusion Power one with battery vibration function. For most people that shave, they either use manual or automatic, so I didn't get why they would get one that looks like a tooth brush with shaving extension.
Talking about expensive, the blades themselves are 2 GBP/piece, meaning that you could almost get a five pack of disposables for that amount of money. Not only is this frustrating, but the blades don't actually last very long as well. The steel goes funny after 3-4 tries.
Compare this with a Wilkinson Quattro blade, this seems to lack in the durability area. The design is slick, but the blade at the back is a bad idea, because they've already added more blades to make it wider, but essentially doubled...

I am surprised no one has written about this yet. It is indeed one of the funniest inventions ever brought to television. Guests come on the show and tell the host, Mark Dolan, what they had been getting up to during the week past. The activities range... more
