Advantages: Incredible game for PSP, impressive graphics , not a card game, new interesting features Disadvantages: Short levels
Being a long time Metal Gear fan, hearing about a non card game version of Metal Gear Solid for the PSP truly made my day, and after purchasing it I certainly was not disappointed.
The storyline itself is not the longest Metal Gear Solid has been, but nonetheless, it is presently my favourite Playstation Portable game. The controls aren't as easy to use as on the Playstation 2, since we are missing the L2 and R2 buttons, but once you get the hang ... ...reaching "point X" involved. Typical Metal Gear Solid elements such as tapping on walls, is intact, and there are often many ways of making it across a map.
The weapon selection is good, you can obtain weapons by either recruiting soldiers, or by finding hidden weapons which are uncovered by recruiting spies and deploying them into a map area.

...that you will be playing it for hours upon hours, this is the perfect game if you are going on a long-haul flight this summer, i would recommend to fans of the series and people that have never played metal gear games in their life.
