Metroid Prime Trilogy is a must-buy for every Wii-owner 3 of 5 Ciao Users found the following review helpful

Advantages Great atmosphere, awesome controls, three games in one

Disadvantages -

Metroid Prime Trilogy is a bundle containing: Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. If you havn't played these games this is a must-buy for every Wii-owner out there.

The Metroid Prime games are basically FPS's with an heavy emphesis on exploring and collecting upgrades. Getting new and better weapons opens up areas which you couldn't explore earlier and so on.

The first game set's you of on a space station which Samus (the protagonist) is sent to to investigate a distress call. This acts as the tutorial for the game and gives players a chance to get comfortable with the controls.
The station is crawling with "Space pirats", which are the main enemies of the game, and soon crashes unto the nearby planet "Tallon IV" where Samus is left on her own to explore the strange sort of corruption which seem to be plauging the planet and put a stop to whatever the space pirates are up to.

The atmosphere, especially in the first game, is probably what I like most about the game. The music, sound effects, environments and creatures do a great job of convincing you that this is a living, breathing world.

Players new to the series may think that there is a lack of story in the games because there really aren't that many cutscenes. But the story is there, you just have to "dig a little". You see, almost every single creature, enemy, plant and structures is able to scan via the "scan visor" which is easily accessed through the motion controls. The scanning allows you to read up on enemies weaknesses, functions of different collectables and the very compelling backstory of the planets strange inhabitants, the Chozo.

The new motion controls added to the 1:st and 2:nd game work wonderful. Though they take a few minutes to get used to. Once you get a hang of it though, it's a pleasure to blast enemies into dust and explore the planets different environments.

As I said: Metroid Prime Trilogy is an amazing collection of 3 amazing games.
So just get out there and buy it! :)
