Metrologic MS9520 Voyager

...When we signed up for AOL Broadband we were told that a modem would, naturally, be included as part of the package. The modem that we received was a BT Voyager 100. The BT Voyager 100 is small and compact and -touch wood!- has never given us any cause for concern. Hooking it up is very easy. Hey. If I can do it, so can almost anyone else! You plug a blue cable into the USB port on the modem. The yellow cable is then plugged into the BT ADSL MF50 line box which is plugged into the phone point. You load the software into the computer, and you are well away, as the saying goes. With AOL the setting up process regarding the modem is virtually automatic so should not present you with any problems whatsoever. Advantages: Small and light weight, with a nice design
Disadvantages: Gets quite warm when it has been running for amounts of time

...Firstly, this is the first and only modem I have owned and it was purchased in 2004. The Voyage 105 has a small light weight design which makes it suitable for the smaller deskspaces, it also has a useful feature of a retractable stand to stand the modem vertically. The modem itself is very simple with only two sockets and three green LED lights. The three LEDs indicate the power, DSL and that data is being recieved. Even though there is nine slots for air movement, the modem still becomes quite warm after it has been running for amounts of time. Unfortunately I have not found a soloution for this heating up. Overall the BT Voyager 105 is a simple but reliable ADSL modem which comes at a very competetive price. I would recomend this modem for a freqently used internet service.... Read review

...Bought this item to go with my BT voyager 2000. Plug it in and thats it. Measuring just w 7 cm, d 10.5 cm, h 1.5 cm, and weiging just 78 g it fits just nicley on my processor box, with a range of 50 meters indoors and upto 250 meters outdoors, it is IEEE 802.11b compatitble. Comes with easy to use and install windows software. The unit is USB so is easy to install with not having to take your computer apart. The only problem I have with this, is that if I do not have the router on and initiated before the computer has warmed up, it does not connect, and I have to either reset the computer, or try and reset the router which does not always work....
