Manufacturer's product description

Metrologic's MS5145 Eclipse is a single-line, hand-held laser scanner. Equipped with Metrologic's patented CodeGate technology, Eclipse can be used in a wide variety of applications. CodeGate technology allows the user to easily target the desired bar code and complete the data transmission with a simple press of a button. This combination makes Eclipse a perfect selection for menu scanning, point-of-sale, document processing and inventory control. With Metrologic's state-of-the-art scanning technology embedded inside, the MS5145 Eclipse has a longer working range and a wider scan field than a typical CCD. The width of the scan line grows as the scanner moves further away from bar codes. In addition, the laser beam pulses which make lining up bar codes easy, and when the scanner senses a bar code (CodeSense Mode), the laser beam automatically switches to scan mode and activates CodeGate to ensure high-speed scanning and accuracy. Standard features include PowerLink user-replaceable cables, and user-friendly programming using MetroSelect bar codes.

A great mouse from Microsoft
Review of Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 - mouse by  fatboyslim

Advantages: Tracks perfectly and accurately, wireless freedom
Disadvantages: Included documentation is poor

...This was my first Microsoft mouse as I normally purchase Logitech, but with having a bad experience with the Logitech MX Revolution I decided to give Microsoft a try, and I wasn't disappointed. I purchased the Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 from Ebuyer for £46 including next day delivery. The Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 7000 is black in color with a silver trim running around its circumference, it looks very classy and the ergonomics of the mouse are superb, its fits perfectly in the hand and all the buttons are in easy reach. I will point out though that this mouse is no good for left handed people. Starting from the underneath, we have a ON/OFF switch (which I would recommend switching to off after you have switched your computer off, basically this makes the batteries last even longer) on the subject of batteries, I... A review of the Microsoft Intellimouse Optical
Review of Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer 3.0 - mouse by  GR-Design

Advantages: MS Name
Disadvantages: Could be more comfy

...I've reviewed quite a few mice in my time on this site. Some of you may start thinking that I have some sort of mouse fetish, I don't, I simply seem to come across quite a lot of mice in my day to day work! You see, I work as an IT Consultant for Doctors Surgeries, and sometimes that means doing stuff like installing mice! So, I get this new mouse on my desk the other day, it's a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical. Hey, this was the mouse I was going to buy myself instead of my Logitech Optical mouse that I bought. Microsoft make good mice, theres no denying that. They are the leader in the field of mice and probably will be for a long time, with Logitech following closely behind. Their mice are normally very durable, but you do pay for them. Take for instance my mouse at work. It's been used for 3 years now, every day. The casing... Read review

Webcamtastic for Microsoft Lifecam VX3000
Review of Microsoft LifeCam VX-3000 by  Vidpix

Advantages: Value for Money, Trusted Brand, Quality Picture, Ease of Use
Disadvantages: Slow Face Tracking,

...I recently decided to upgrade my aging Pace webcam and after looking at various models of new super dooper cams I plumped for the Microsoft Lifecam VX3000. Microsoft seem to dominate the world with products nowadays, however it is a name you can trust and generally you get a good quality product. This was true when I received the unit, it had a quality feel to it. Microsoft have various incarnations of their webcams ranging from the entry level VX1000 to the highly specced and highly priced VX6000, whilst I suppose you pay for what you get, i was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the images from the unit. After the installation of the drivers from the enclosed CD, it's a straight foward process, just plugging into a spare USB socket and windows recognises the device and loads the drivers for it. It will then go through... Read review
