Advantages: cheap price tag, lots of exclusive games, small console, great online Disadvantages: loud, no HDMi cable, pay for online memberships
I always preferred the Xbox over the PS3 for many reasons. For example, the Xbox has all the exclusive games and content to the power and the links that Microsoft have. Also the main reason being that it is much cheaper than a PS3.
The 60GB Premium model comes with an online headset along with a 1 month free membership for Xbox LIVE for customers to have a taster of what it is like, and how much more enjoyable it is with LIVE.
Though, the 60GB hard drive isn't really enough memory for those who download demos and movies over LIVE etc. So if you are willing to put in the extra cash for an Elite, I would go for it. Plus, the Elite prices have dropped by £30, to a £199.99 price tag, only £30 more than a Premium console. However, the HDMi Cable has been scrapped from the Elite bundle.
Another thing that I love about the Xbox, is that it ...
Advantages: Graphics, Playability, Addictiveness, range of games and XBOX LIVE. Disadvantages: Red lights are way too common.
Microsoft's Xbox 360... this console was and is a highly anticipated piece of engineering genius, which successfully re-shaped the way modern-day gamers play.
Microsoft have created several different types of Xbox 360's since the origional Xbox 360 'Core' was released several years ago: Core, Arcade, Premium and Elete aswell as other custom built models including the dedicated 'Halo - Xbox 360', with a Halo themed print around the outside.
The 'Core' opened up the series with a disappointing 0 mb of storage. This meant everyone had to purchase a bunch of memory cards before saving their games and storing music.
But this console was and still is capable of playing all Xbox 360 games... as you would undoubtedly expect.
Microsoft quickly picked up on their embarrasing mistakes, producing a second version known as ...
Advantages: Great range of games, fairly inexpensive now, Xbox Live! Disadvantages: Fan can sometimes be a bit loud watching DVDs, erm thats it!
I brought me Xbox 360 Elite a while ago now and I must say it's an excellent piece of kit. For one, I don't believe it to be as bulky as the original Xbox, and perhaps isn't as bulky as the PS3, and so takes up less room on the unit. It is a good design, easily stored vertically or horizontally.
The one thing that impressed me most with the Xbox 360 is the range of games available for it. A few years ago, Sony had most of the rights to the truly great games: Grand Theft Auto, Gran Turismo etc. but now it is a much more level playing field. Microsoft have obviously put their considerable influence to good use, widening the range of quality games from the original xbox tenfold, as well as developing games which are good if not better than their rivals (Halo anyone?).
The DVD player is always a nice extra and comes in handy when a stand ...
