Advantages: Brilliant graphics, HDMI Output, Excellent Games Library, Xbox Live Disadvantages: Expensive Games, Xbox Live Fee, Lack of Blu-Ray, Hardware Errors
's and Sony Playstation 3's Online services are both free, one would think that Microsoft would follow suit
***The Xbox 360 Elite should have really included a Blu-Ray drive like its competitor PS3, instead Microsoft opted for a HD-DVD expansion drive (Which have now become obsolete)
****Any person that reads technology news must have heard about the dreaded "Red lights". This is the one fatal flaw on the Xbox 360 which makes your Xbox unplayable and one must send their Xbox off to Microsoft's very slow repair service to get it fixed if their machine is cursed with this bug
Overall, the Xbox 360 Elite is a brilliant purchase to anyone that wants High Definition gaming with a huge games library to choose from. But if you are scared of the red light syndrome, this console may not be for you... ...
Advantages: Runs really fast, Some very good features, any decent machine can run it. Disadvantages: The Price. It looks like vista and it really is just a brush up on the old OS
Windows 7 has been said by Microsoft as being much improved and everyone would be happy with the end result. But is it really better, below is my review of a few sections which I believe is most important and compare it to older versions.
Speed: 9/10
Much faster than Vista. To compare with the Vista OS, on Vista it took around 30 secs to 45 secs to boot up and log me in. Now on Windows 7 it takes 20 - 30 secs to boot up. Shut down is also so much faster. Vista = 15 secs... Windows 7 = 5 secs..... So there is a huge improvement. Also when running programs or browsing the internet you feel like this Operating System is very smooth and just does what you want (most of the time)
Program Compatablilty: 8/10
Most Programs that run on Vista will run on Windows 7 (32-bit) very well. Though (64-bit) has a few problems such as many ...
Advantages: Looks good/Good storage/Great games/Great graphics/can play films and videos/music/lots lots more. Disadvantages: Very expensive accesories, especially the wireless adaptor
the reason why I never even considered the PS3 when I was choosing my next-gen console, I wouldn't be able to sleep at night knowing that I would never get to play such games as Halo3 or Fable.
The xbox live marketrplace is a great feature, it alows you to download themes, demos movie trailers, game trailers and even whole movies. Ofcourse some of this will come at a cost, which in most cases is a complete rip off if you are only buying things such as gamer pictures.
This is the only real problem with the xbox 360, the price of the accesories :S. As with many things, microsoft liek to charge excessive prices for simple accesories and force you to buy their £60 versions by mnaking the cheaper ones not work.
Aside from the accesory prices though The xbox 360 Elite is the greatest console out and I highly reccomend it, o and I forgot to ...
