...I am ashamed to say that I am absolutely hopeless at recognising flags of the world but this pack of cards has helped teach me as well as my niece the world flags, although once again it's shameful that her memory skills are better than mine!! This set of cards is from Marks and Spencer, at the very reasonable price of only £1.25. ~ Packaging ~ This comes in a very sturdy box which is closed on 3 sides but open at one end so that the internal boxes can slide in and out. The internal boxes contain flags of the world and people of the world in their national costumes, as well as 6 instruction cards for the suggested games. The boxes are very sturdy and although they have been used a lot, there's now only a little bit of wear and tear around the corners of the exterior box. This is a major plus as one of my bug bears... ...What are these silly little box's? That's what i thought when i saw these tiny boxes and the Price but my son has got lots of enjoyment out of them i no longer mind buying them. What are these little boxes? These are little tiny worlds which include stick men who you can interact with. On the market today you will find the following, they come in a pack of 2 for approx £19.99. Each Box has one stick person in, you get to box's in a pack, so thats 2 stick men to play with. Series One Slim and Dodger Whip and Scoop Series Two Handy & Dusty Mic & Hans Series Three Toner & Dash Chief & Sparky My son has both sets from Series One, so they are what my review is about. ...Yes, it is fascinating to watch the little Triop grow. Yes, they really do look like miniature horseshoe crabs. Yes, as a vet student in dorms where we aren't "allowed" to keep "pets," Triop world has been a life saver. But, no, I don't think the complete kit is value for money. First of all, the good points. The Triop do hatch, as do dozens of Daphnia and a few Artemia (other cute little creatures which the Triop eat) as long as you follow the instructions carefully (ex. really do use mineral water, not tap water). In my first batch I got four Triop, six in my second. Re-hatching is quite easy if you let the water evaporate and allow the sand to rest for a few weeks, but you won't get any daphnia so you've got to have food ready for the baby Triop that hatch. While not quite as big or as anthropomorphic as the picture on the box... Read review
