Value for Money Wireless Device
Review of Targus Wireless Remote Presenter mouse by
DavidWarley
Advantages: Simple straight forward remote operation in Powerpoint mode. Built in Laser pointer.
Disadvantages: Restricted functions and speed in Mouse Mode, no mode indicator
The Targus Notebook Presenter is a no-frills device that 'does what it says on the can'.
I use Powerpoint extensively for training small groups of up to 20 people in a classroom setting. Standing always at the 'front of the class' and having to stay close to the laptop are often a restriction on movement and interaction with my customers.
The Notebook Presenter lets me stand away from the laptop and screen. I can now move freely among my audience, ... ...to. The built in laser pointer lets me point out aspects of each slide without standing in the projector beam to wave my hands at the screen.
The small and light hand held controller provides 2 button mouse, next slide, last slide and pointer functions. This talks wirelessly to a small receiver that plugs into a USB prort on my laptop. A 10 metre range is fine for classroom work though for 'theatre size' rooms it could be a limitation. The system ...

Put a stop to Laptop touchpad stress
Review of Targus Optical Super Mini Retractable Mouse mouse by
welshwickedone
Advantages: Small, but ideal with Laptops, and no excess wire everywhere
Disadvantages: Would be difficult for people with arthritis but they do larger versions
...my partner bought me the Targus Super Mini Retractable,Optical mouse.
Since then my pleasure on my PC has really improved.
The mouse as it says is Super mini, but it has all the feature of a full size mouse.
Three button feature, left and right click buttons and very mini scroll wheel in the center.
The mouse has a USB plug to fit all pc`s with USB ports,
and in my opinion the most fantastic feature is the Retractable mouse cable.
This allows ... ...wires everywhere and when you are finished using the mouse you can just unplug it,Rectract all the cable and it comes complete with a Suede effect pouch for storage.
I find this product fantastic because,it is small and compact and easily fits into you laptop case,so you can use it whenever and where ever you use your Laptop.
The mouse also has an optical red underlight, for movement sensing rather than the standard, roll ball mouse.
This mouse ...

Absolutely brilliant mouse, wouldn't be without it
Review of Logitech Cordless TrackMan Optical - trackball by
waterbaby999
Advantages: Great for RSI prevention at the wrist, very easy to use and lots of features
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to get the hang of initially (be patient!), uses batteries
I have used this mouse pretty much since they came out - having been a physiotherapist myself I am all too aware of the risk of RSI, and I use computers an awful lot (I now work in IT, so 9 hours a day at work and at least 3-6+ hours at home) and have this mouse both at work and at home.
The mouse itself does not move, it sits on your desk (therefore no need for wearing a hole in the desk or using a mousemat) and "talks" to your computer via a rounded ... ...in line of sight, I have mine sitting behind my keyboard and on top of my montior at work and home respectively and never have any problems with signal strength.
Be aware that it will take you a week or so to get used to using this mouse, particularly if you've never used a trackball before. Major advantage is other people won't be as likely to use your machine unless they too like/use trackballs!!!!!
I certainly would never go back to using a ...

Good for on-the-go people!
Review of Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - mouse by
nidarasheed
Advantages: Portable, precision tracking
Disadvantages: Expensive, too small
...people on the go! The Logitech VX Nano laser mouse is shaped for both left- and right-handed users; and comes with programmable buttons; a tiny receiver stored inside the mouse and laser tracking for precision on many surfaces.
However, it is somewhat expensive so make sure you really want this before bringing out the wallet. And some have said it is too small for people with large hands.
So if you can afford its high price, you'll be pleased by ...

G5 worked for 12 months.
Review of Logitech G5 Laser Mouse mouse by
sherad
Advantages: When it works, it works very well.
Disadvantages: Not sure it can handle hot environments.
...My suspicion is that Logitech gaming mice don\'t like above normal heat, because both my G5 and MX518 gaming mice are broken... with exactly the same diconnecting symptoms. Added to which, these mice are expensive. My G5 was around £45 when I bought it, and the MX518 not much cheaper a few months before. So it\'s alot of money to spend for on mice which I have to presume can\'t cope with a bit of heat. If it's not the heat then whatever other reason ... ...am awaiting a response from Logitech to see if they will replace it under warranty, as the orginal web retailer is no longer online. However they have as yet not replied to my filing of a technical problem last week and my request to send back to them (you need their authorisation before posting). ...
