Absolutely brilliant mouse, wouldn't be without it
Review of Logitech Cordless TrackMan Optical - trackball by
waterbaby999
Advantages: Great for RSI prevention at the wrist, very easy to use and lots of features
Disadvantages: Can be difficult to get the hang of initially (be patient!), uses batteries
I have used this mouse pretty much since they came out - having been a physiotherapist myself I am all too aware of the risk of RSI, and I use computers an awful lot (I now work in IT, so 9 hours a day at work and at least 3-6+ hours at home) and have this mouse both at work and at home.
The mouse itself does not move, it sits on your desk (therefore no need for wearing a hole in the desk or using a mousemat) and "talks" to your computer via a rounded ... ...in line of sight, I have mine sitting behind my keyboard and on top of my montior at work and home respectively and never have any problems with signal strength.
Be aware that it will take you a week or so to get used to using this mouse, particularly if you've never used a trackball before. Major advantage is other people won't be as likely to use your machine unless they too like/use trackballs!!!!!
I certainly would never go back to using a ...

Logitech G9 Laser - Right at home, any home.
Review of Logitech G9 Laser Mouse mouse by
LotusXyx
Advantages: High DPI, on board memory, Interchangable weights and DPI settings
Disadvantages: None
...Logitech pulled out all the stops while designing the mouse, and included a nice addition of on-the-fly DPI switching, ever useful to the FPS gamer, with a total of four settings at hand to the user, all of which are customisable to a specific DPI gives the mouse great versatility and makes it ideal for a family mouse. The G9 also includes on-board memory, so no matter where you take the mouse, no matter what laptop or desktop, the DPI settings will ... ...last gimmick worth mentioning is that the DPI lights located on the mouse are actually changable in a light blue-to-deep-red spectrum. Although it does serve no specific reason, it can assisst colour co-ordination at your desktop! All in all, a fantastic mouse with a high DPI for gamers, simple to use, plugs right into a USB port with no installation required. Highly recommended. ...

My favorite trackball/mouse/etc ever
Review of Logitech Trackman Cordless Wheel - trackball by
phalangid
Advantages: Ergonomic, control of pointer, battery life
Disadvantages: Takes a week to get used to
This is probably my favorite purchase for my computer 'stuff' collection! I started using a cordED version of this thing 10 years ago or so at work, got one for myself, and after it died (was in use for 5 years, which is fair in my mind) I got the cordless version listed here. I love this thing, and here are some details on why:
Ergonomics - I think this thing is really good to reduce strain on your wrist, and after a week or two getting used to ... ...to move the trackball, it's so easy to work with.
Detail on screen - at least for me, it's really easy to get exactly what I want to click on, easier than with a mouse! I know one reviewer doesn't like this for gaming... I love it for gaming! I do 1st person shooters a lot (i.e. HalfLife, etc.) and it works like a dream.
Software - this thing works if you just plug it in on an XP machine (probably Vista, too) but the additional software makes it ...

*****THE AMAZING MOUSE****
Review of Logitech MX 610 Left-Hand Laser Cordless Mouse - mouse by
mightyd
Advantages: Left and Right handed available. Cordless, Long Battery Life, Great features
Disadvantages: Pricy.....
...something exciting happens. Well Logitech have definitely evolved in their world of mouse making...
This mouse has a fantastic laser sensor range of up to 30 feet, and longer battery life than most cordless mice - as i should know - because i had one before and the battery on it was purely ridiculous -so rubbish that after charging, the battery would be on a low level within a day. The Revolution MX has four distinct, new features that could very ... ...lives so much more easier... Logitech goes so far as to bill the MX as "the world's most advanced mouse."
Logitech made a big splash after being the first to market a laser mouse, the MX1000. Today, Logitech makes amazing products with the release of two new high-end mice-the MX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse and the VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks. These designs are so sleek and nifty; you just have to get one of these mice...

Tame as you like
Review of Ceratech Accuratus M9 - mouse by
donf18
Advantages: No ball
Disadvantages: none as yet
The Accuaratus M9 mouse is made by a company called Ceratech, who have been manufacturing quality technological devices for the PC for 25 years now. Their website is none to brilliant to look at but it has the basics and does look not too bad. This mouse will set up back £8.71 should you wish to purchase it from their website. Mine however was obtained from a gift shop in Livingston for a mere £4.99. Obtained !! that sounds as if I didn't actually ... ...The mouse is available in two different colours black with silver highlights or white with silver highlights both equally as attractive. The connection to your PC can be made by the USB cable attached to the mouse, or by a PS2 adaptor, which is also supplied. The adaptor has a normal PS" connection to the PC port and also has a USB connection on its rear to facilitate the insertion of the mouse cable. The cable is about 1.5 metres long so it is going ...
